tit:Don't get me wrong, ma. I appreciate the data you shared (even without source). I should have probably started by stating that. However, the associated write-up is what I don't agree with. You shared some interesting statistical data but then went off on a tangent that is not in any way supported by the premise. Your article only aims to demonize vaccination and I don't see how your data supports that. So I'm saying it's OK to be against vaccinations but let's not lump up things. Vaccinated people saying Canada should pressure Russia into stopping the war does not support anything you wrote up there. Even in Canada where the report came from, people aren't necessarily divided along that line. First, the title is misleading. Canadians don't want war with Russia. If the report shows anything, it's the fact that unvaccinated people are more sympathetic to Russia (not that vaccinated people want war with Russia). In fact, the reverse could be said to be case cause like I said, vaccinated people are saying Canada should pressure Russia into stopping the war (which means they don't want war). And quite honestly, it will be an interesting conversation to have. But sharing this report in an article that simply aims to trash vaccination is making a mess of the report because wanting Canada to sanction Russia in a bid to make them get thier soldiers out of Ukraine does not necessarily make the vaccinate people bad. In other words, you simply don't need this report if the goal to just to trashtalk vaccination. And like I said, let's not form herds around this report. It is important that people judge the Ukraine/Russia issue without preconceived mindsets like "my fellow anti-vaxers are backing Russia, so let me fall in line". |
The war is now about vaccinated vs unvaccinated? Lol... Most Nigerians spend so much time looking for divisive lines. They must always find a way to create demarcations even in the smallest unit of society. The herd mentality is overwhelming. Religion, region, tribe, gender, age, social class, sexuality, marital status and now vaccination. Y'all must always form herds around everything and everywhere and thereby deny yourselves the chance to be individualistic in your judgment. More than 50% of Russians are vaccinated. Even the US government does not want war with Russia. So just state your opinion without trying to form herds so that you won't end up defending another person opinion just because you're in the same herd. Don't lump up vaccination with the war in Eastern Europe. Most of you don't even have a clue what the war is about but y'all go around pitching tents based on unrelated issues. This report does not make vaccination good or bad. It is an interesting report but does not support anything the OP wrote up there. In fact, OP didn't even draw any conclusion from the report or make any reasonable reference to it. Yet he's riding on the strength of an existing herd (pro-Russia) to fortify his anti vaccination campaign. |
Hhmm... the embarrassment some men bring to their families. |
Are there places in Nigeria where tap water is good enough for drinking? |
They keep blaming the leaders as if they're any better. What kind of economic development can better the lives are people who aren't really mentally developed? In 2022, you still hear about such ridiculous issues? The dead man didn't know anything about writing his will? The unmarried daughter is not human enough to inherit anything from her own father? I'm guessing the uncles, and not even the wife, would be ones gearing up to take over the dead man's property. The fate of an African woman. One day, women in Africa will look back and say "it wasn't easy but we made it". |
The fact that NATO had not yet fully agreed to accept Ukraine when Russia invaded the country (there was even a negotiation meeting a day before), the fact that Russia's official reason for invading Ukraine was peacekeeping and not NATO membership (only to start attacking the whole country afterwards) and the fact that they wouldn't leave even when it's been made clear Ukraine ain't joining NATO all suggest that Russia did not invade Ukraine cause they felt threatened by NATO. Russia invaded Ukraine as a part of a grand plan to keep taking the country in bits. However, they felt NATO would be in their way if Ukraine is allowed to join. Seeing how weak thier military is, they have resorted to holding the world hostage with threats of going nuclear. What do they have to lose? Not like they have any integrity to defend anyway. Yet, people would say "Russian aggression towards Ukraine is right cause the USA is a terrible country". Ridiculous logic. |
cococandy:Lol... NL people will call you anything that suits them at the moment. The same person that called you out yesterday for having a Nigerian/black man mentality will still call you out tomorrow being woke. ![]() |
This thread is saddening. I shouldn't have opened it. |
dann190:Sorry, bro. |
GloriousGbola:Lol... I see. The man actually brought himself low in the process. An employer who really has the power to sack someone shouldn't be engaging in this kind of petty fight. |
GloriousGbola:Hhmm... |
Ishilove:Of course. I'm just curious as to what triggered the dude to that extent. |
Regarding the first image, we need to see what the employee sent the guy. Lol |
If the strokes are disturbing even to the aggressor himself, then I'm really worried. I didn't read anywhere where you sat the kids down to explain to them why they shouldn't be doing such things. All I read was flog, flog, flog. At à point, I had to read the title again just to ensure it's humans we're talking about here. There's a reason the human brain is more advanced that those of other animals. Kids are extremely curious. They are very receptive of new ideas as well. Why not get to the root of the issue, block it, and engage the kids to counter whatever they had assimilated? Why do y'all ignore the capabilities of this brain to resort to treating kids like lower animals? By flogging the kids, you have said to them "don't let me catch you doing this again" but you didn't tell them why they shouldn't do it. I'm guessing you're shying away from having an uncomfortable discussion with a kid but without that, you'd end up creating a hardened rebel. You made reference to a certain YouTube channel to support your claim that kids who aren't flogged are worse off but you forgot we don't need any YouTube to see what the Nigerian youth has become despite the flogging. Only lazy adults that lack creativity go around flogging children like animals even at the slightest provocation. |
esanmantruth:But we need to ask ourselves, did her father have the same standard of living as her husband, the OP? We don't know the kind of things OP eats, the kind drinks he takes, etc. 50k is big but it's not up to N1,500 per day and depending on the family lifestyle, that may not be much. That's why only the OP can tell if the wife is cheating or not. I suggest he shocks her with a market survey based on what the family eats and see what her defence would then be. |
Hhmm.. family issues. OK, let's get practical. You said the money is for the food y'all eat and nothing else, right? At the core of the issue here is the fact that you believe she's using it for her personal stuff. Since she dared you to go the market and ask the prices of food stuff, could you actually do that? I mean, she said that cause she knew or thought you wouldn't do it, why not shock her by going to market to get the actual prices of food items? This way, you'd know for sure she's cheating and she'd also know she can't easily play you like that next time. If you don't know much about food stuff, ask a friend to help you. The goal here is to make data driven decisions. It's not enough to say your wife doesn't appreciate the money you give to her. The money is for the family, not for her. N50K is big and we're likely going conclude she's keeping some of it to herself. But what we don't know for sure is your living standard. We don't know what you expect to see on the table when you get home, the kind of drinks you take, etc. That's why you alone can tell if she's actually cheating or not. Do a little market survey and watch her jaw drop if she's guilty. Good luck! |
GboyegaD:And this is his trying to convince himself. |
Practicing different ways of escaping in case the war comes near him. Lol. ![]() |
Conner44:We clearly have more men than women on the thread. But yeah, any opportunity to call out women. |
Wow! That's dangerous. |
No integrity. |
cococandy:Of course, they're not. They're well taken care of like a man would take care of his new car. Isn't that awesome? ![]() |
No idea where this happened but you see how the lady was mute? You see how most of the comments are implicitly supporting the abuser? You see how some of them found way to call out women even when a man is clearly the antagonist here? That right there is the fate of an African woman. |
posty56:Hhmm... but why call her a lier? Why do you think she's not in the US? Anyway, the US belongs to both blacks and whites (and everyone else). Both are immigrants there. |
Case closed. |
Lol... are they mocking the accent? *Edited* Oh... I suppose that's how it's written in pidgin. ![]() Nice. |
PericomaNwankwo:True. I totally agree. But like Nigerians say, beauty attracts a man, but character keeps him. The OS brings the product to users and ensures it works more seamlessly with other applications on the platform. However, only the functionalities/performance of the product actually keeps the users in the long run. Microsoft Windows comes with Edge but most Windows users still stick to Chrome. The influence of the OS only helped Explorer beat Netscape Navigator back then, but Chrome proved to be superior over time. It's even trickier when we're talking about a web based application where users can access any search engine of thier choice even while using Apple's Safari. My point is, just making an Apple search engine the default one on IOS is not enough. Apple will need to do much more than that to beat what Google has to offer. Otherwise, Google would still be a strong contender in the Apple community. |
Nice one, OP. A search from Apple would definitely have an impact on Google's user-base. However, I believe software/online products from Google are still more likely to dominate the internet than anything from Apple. Apple's dominance is in the hardware business. Android is still the most popular mobile operating system out there. This, combined with the fact that Google has a higher internet share, implies they'd still have more users. Safari is Apple's browser and comes pre-installed on IPhones. And yet, Chrome is the most popular browser out there. This should give us a hint of what to expect if Apple drops thier own search engine. |
If they come here to answer this, y'all would gather to shame and call them unprintable names. |
Nice one. What we do for our babies. Someone above asked if this is our culture. Lol... she was probably putting on a western attire while playing the culture police. |
With the things I read here, I sometimes wonder how some of these Nigerian men function outside Africa. Do they go out and start respecting women as fellow humans or do they still go with the idea that women are they for them to do whatever they want with? This man's case answers that to some extent. Nice one. |
