Riofidelio: There's no part of the fruitage of the Holy Spirit that's missing amongst TRUE CHRISTIANS but true Christianity isn't so easy to practice because it's totally another kind of living in a new personality not the one that's common in the people of the world. So amongst true Christians all the qualities of the Holy Spirit is evident. Galatians 5:22/23 compare to John 13:35 You're right. But you see that the church has relegated the HOLY SPIRIT in the practise of Christianity. HOW? Hardly do you hear congregants being told to cultivate a relationship with Holy Spirit who is the CEO of God's will on earth. Even Jesus told the disciples/us that empowerment of the Holy Spirit is the foundatio for Christian fruitfulness. We must bring the HOLY SPIRIT back to our church's doctrines and preachings if we want as many people as we have churches to fear God. |

Ishilove: Vindictiveness is not a Christian thing. It's a trait that does not recognise religion, gender, ethnicity or race. Rather, it is part and parcel of human nature Very apt! It's ignorance that makes people to attach human traits to people based on religion et al. Every human is vindictive, evil, selfish and wicked. The positive changes or traits shown by some people are results of conscious attempts to allow the precepts of one's religion to affect one's life. There are vindictive Muslims, Hindus, Ogun or Sango worshippers. Religion will only change a man to the extent the man wants to be changed. |

Was the Bible originally not written in Hebrew before it was translated to English and other languages thousands of years later? See why Biafra want out of this shiit hole? We have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN COMMON with these people. Of all problems wrecking this pathetic country, MURIC are only concern about removal of Arabic from N100 note. Well Christians also demand for the removal of Islamic inscription on Nigerian army emblem to settle the score since this is what worries MURIC. There is no reason why an Islamic symbol which stands for "Victory belongs to Allah" be a Nigerian Army logo when the constitution states that Nigeria is a SECULAR country.
THE PLAN TO IMPOSE SHARIA OVER NIGERIA BY BUHARI'S GOVT IS ALREADY IN MOTION. THE SCARCITY OF NEW N100 NOTES IS A DELIBERATE ATTEMP TO FACE OUT THE NOTE FOR A NEW NOTE WITH ARABIC INSCRIPTION AS SIGN OF ISLAMIC CONQUEST! |

BushWickBill: It was not meant to be so. Jesus did not discriminate when choosing his disciples That it happens all over the place does not verify or make it right. We humans do not even love our family members let alone people from other tribes. Is it any wonder that God's power no longer is visible in his house? True. That is why the Church needs to go back to studying the Bible and seeking fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Men are using their reasoning and senses to run the church today. |

LaudableXX: Osun state, ke? Guy, tell us the name of that Anglican church and its' diocese, sharp-sharp! Most Anglican churches would not reject a priest sent to them, except they had earlier heard bad reports about such a priest from elsewhere! A church in Osun state where the congregation is likely to be predominantly Yoruba, is highly unlikely to reject a Yoruba vicar or Bishop solely on ethnic grounds, simply because he comes from another part of the same region.
I know many Anglican churches across various communities in the Southwest, whose congregation are made up of Yoruba people, yet the vicar in charge of such a church is a pure Igbo man. In Lagos, some Anglican churches with predominantly Igbo members, also hold services in Igbo. I have attended a few.
In one of those churches, their vicar was posted elsewhere and the church protested against the move to remove him from the church. The Archdeacon had to wade in, and explain that the proposed move was a promotion, as that vicar was going to become a Venerable, but if he remained within their church, that means the members do not want him to be promoted. They changed their minds, and supported the move. It was just a case of appealing to their understanding! I won't mention names. He was one of the best Chaplain that pastored the church I attended. He was a Venerable and promoted to Bishop and sent there. It happened more than 10yrs ago. |

aguiyi2: The mbaise Catholic Bishop saga really redefined my relationship with the Catholic church. You cry nepotism in Nigeria while you rejected a fellow Igbo man as Bishop simply because he is not from Mbaise.Hypocrisy at its height. Tribalism and ethnicity has been a part and parcel of the church in Nigeria be it Anglican, Catholic or Pentecostal. As a young boy in the 1980s, I remember how some group of people from another tribe took cutlasses and cudgels to church to protest against tribalism in a particular Anglican church. That incidence and many others led to the Anglican having churches meant for some groups of people based on their tribes or language. Another, one of my chaplain was rejected as a bishop in Osun state when he was promoted and posted there. He was a Yoruba man, the people insisted they wanted somebody from their tribe despite the fact that they were all Yorubas. These things will not cease until the Church go back to God to lead and direct it affairs. |

Koko is a LGA hqtr of one of the three Itsekiri LGAs in Delta state. Today, Koko and surrounding villages are like deserted communities so it is very very possible for waste to be dumped there again and again with the connivance of unscrupulous elders and youths reeling under a harsh economy worsened by their selfish leaders who are busy acquiring cars and houses for showmanship. |
