Every stomach is different so you need to figure your stomach out. Find out what it is you react to by varying the content of your recipe. Another way is to work on building your stomach through the use of probiotics .e.g. Yogurt. By imbibing them you sort of fortify your stomach. grin
"Kefir grains."
Water kefir... or Milk kefir as probiotics.

No. Seyi has largely been privileged and indulged. He has never been Street because you need to be in the Street to be legit street.

They just have different mums. Yinka is Remi’s son whereas Seyi is Tinubu’s son from another woman. Children don’t get the full spectrum of their character from one parent.

Yinka may have more of Remi in him and Seyi may have his dads chromosomes as more dominant in his DNA.
This is very interesting...

I never knew that Senator Oluremi Tinubu has a biological son called Yinka for President Bola Tinubu. I thought she only has 2 females for him and that 'Seyi is his only surviving son after the death of Olajide his oldest son a few years ago.

When you talk about religious tolerance, Yoruba as a tribe is the symbol of unity. There are 1000 ways to divide yorubas, politically. Religious partition, marginalisation and sentiment are not one of them. The ploy is destined to fail even before it kicks off.
Yoruba is not just a tribe, it is a way of life.

Nigeria Jollof has been declared the best in first ever Washington DC Jollof Festival. On July 2, 2017, Ms. Atinuke Ogunsalu of Queensway Restaurant & Catering in Maryland, US, became the winner of the first ever Jollof Hackathon presented by I/O Spaces during Jollof Festival In Washington DC. The event was organized by Afropolitan Insights.

Ms. Ogunsalu proved to all that Nigerians can indeed cook Jollof when she secured her country the win at the event. Her competitors at the event were Cameroon, Ghana, and Sierra Leone.

Each finalist was given five minutes to present their dish to the judges who based their decisions on participants’ presentation, taste, and originality.

Newly crowned #JollofFestival champion Ms. Ogunsalu told walked away with US$1000 co-working services from event partner I/O Spaces and an opportunity to become a Chef at Jollof Caviar; an upscale African Fusion Restaurant Opening in Washington DC in 2019.

not disputing the fact that some part of agbara falls under ogun state, most part of agbara is under badagry local government
Are you an indigene of Agbara or something? It's interesting that you're bringing up this dimension which would need to be cross-checked.

I've always known that Agbara is in Ogun State.
But I'll do a further check on that to confirm if a large part of it is in Badagry like you indicated. Indeed when you're traveling to Badagry along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, you have to pass through Agbara which is clearly indicated on the map as being part of Ogun State.

Did you know that Channels TV is located in Isheri North in Ogun State, and NOT the Isheri North in Lagos State? I remember that the last Governor of Ogun State revealed the info before he left office that Channels TV is located in Ogun State and NOT Lagos State like everyone assumes. This is because the upscale Isheri North is divided into Ogun State and Lagos State. The then Governor of Ogun was even referencing the taxes that were not being paid to his state by those who thought their side of the larger Isheri North was in Lagos State.

When Channels TV moved from their former Headquarters in Maryland, Lagos, they moved to the current HQ in Isheri North which indeed falls into Ogun State, but they had persisted in misleading their viewers worldwide that are broadcasting live from Lagos especially during primetime news.

All the best and Happy Holidays.

agbara is under lagos state
Just as I earlier stated, Agbara town is part of Ado-Odo/Ota LGA in Ogun State. The town is part of the larger Aworiland. Aworiland straddles both sides of the Lagos and Ogun States borders meaning that Aworiland extends from Lagos State right into Ogun State.

The iconic Corona Schools is also located in Agbara, Ogun State, among several elite establishments.

Food › Re: Selling Gari In 1944 Was Illegal In Nigeria by XAUBulls:
fuckJones:
You Drink Garri And Use It For Food Purposes But Did You Know In 1944, Selling Garri Was illegal In Nigeria?

The British colonial Government made it illegal for anyone to sell Garri privately, Garri became "Government treasure”
This actually happened during the era of the second World War. As we know the British were suffering at he hand of Germans and they were desperate to win the War, they needed money and resources so they pulled as many as they could get from their colonies, including Nigeria.
They built harbours, roads, Airfields, hospitals, anything to make their exploitation easier. Thousand of Nigerian Men were recruited into the Army to fight in the second World. Even at that, they still needed more, They imposed some monetary policies and they rationed food so they could have enough to export for their wars. The government was in charge of food distribution and people would have to queue for days to buy Garri.
They wanted to tax market women. Then we had Alimotu Pelewura, a Nigerian woman led a protest to curb this action. British Government were like "British women pay tax, why should Nigerian women be any different" and Pelewura replied " All of Nigeria's wealth was being taken to Britain hence the British women could pay tax because they were Rich". She organized the market and told them to boycott sales of Garri to the Govt. This made the Govt and the security agents "declared war"

The Government started arresting those who sold Garri privately but NIGERIANS are very resourceful so the Fa-ya-wo got involved (Fa-ya-wo is what the Yorubas call Smugglers). The Fa-ya-wo would crawl on their bellys(hence their name) to steal Garri from government stores
And sell in private. Garri had it own black market. 😳
The govt found it very hard to solve this problem, they tried to bribe Halimatu Pelewura to come to their side but she didn't sell her conscience.
So when next you see garri, show some respect oo
The combined garri and Pelewura angles are very interesting.

Even though there's no source here but you are largely correct because from my years of reading world history books and archival materials, World Wars 1 and 2 created a lot of hyperinflation and food rationing.

The Colonialists indeed took raw cash crops and food crops abroad and returned more expensive finished goods to their colonies worldwide. They even tried to tax their colonies the more and a lot of folks could NOT feed properly and lost their jobs or livelihoods. The wartime global hyperinflation was massive and that knowledge of pre-and-post war events would enable discerning people to easily predict cyclical global investment patterns.

Nice thread.

P.S. I found some Sources:

Conversely, I still wonder if this slight burning of the jollof rice in the pot or "adogan" to give that addictive smokey flavor plus the exotic food ingredients will not lead to cancerous growth or damage to the cells of the human body down the road (in the absence of antioxidants). As human rights activists and organisations intensify efforts to abolish Osu, Ohu, Ume and Diala caste systems in the South East, two other Imo State communities, Amurie Omanze and Oboro Amurie, in Isu Local Council of the state, have set January 4, 2024, to abolish these caste systems.

A statement by the Executive Director of Pillars of Hope Africa Initiative (POHAI), Chinyere Oge-Kalu, said that the abolishment of these caste systems in the two communities was a fruit of years of advocacy by the National Human Rights Commission, POHAI, G’naira Family Foundation (GFF) and Kemdi Chino Opera Foundation (KCOF).

She expressed confidence that more communities, the entire Imo State and Igbo land will soon abolish these reprehensible caste systems, which dehumanises fellow compatriots as slaves/outcastes.

Oge-Kalu commended the traditional rulers and the people of Amurie Ancient Kingdom, comprising Amurie Omanze and Oboro Amurie for setting the pace in abolishing these caste systems in Igbo land.

The Eze Udo II of Amurie Omanze, Eze C.O Nnajiemere and Duruoha 1 of Oboro Amurie, Eze V.O Ahamefule Durugwoegebu iv, while addressing their subjects in the palace of Eze Udo II, said January 4, 2024 had been slated for abolishing Osu, ume, Ohu and diala caste systems in old Amurie Omanze ancient community.
These banning proclamations especially in Anambra and Imo States are just worthless toilet paper. This stigma towards Osu families still exists and I have heard several Lagos-based Ibo males bragging and saying on a live program that I monitored online in 2021 that "if Ibo traditional marriage cannot be banned, then Osu caste system CANNOT be banned!" One of those men who was bragging said he is from the Orlu area of Imo and others identified as being from Anambra.

Even Ifedayo "Daddy Freeze" Olarinde did a program which was beamed worldwide in 2022 on the Osu caste system and he got live calls from some Ibo guys who vehemently said that he should drop the topic and that it is the Ibo way of life that cannot be abolished.

The first ban on Osu caste system was in 1967, that is 56 years ago, and yet it has grown worse and more intense due to societal clannishness among the Ibos.

I have a friend from Rivers State who told me while we were discussing on a wide range of issues 10 years ago that his son was to get married to a young lady who is from a family of Osu, and his wife who is Ibo from Imo State REJECTED the plan, but her son was adamant about marrying the girl. I have also read online reports and watched several videos and programs like "Moments with Mo" by Mo Abudu featuring real men and women from the Osu families showing the continued discrimination towards so-called Osu and Ohu family lineages. They do not have full privileges in their villages, they are isolated in separate parts of their villages, and CANNOT get married to so-called dialla or non-Osu Ibo families. This is why you find the Osus getting married to other ethnic groups outside Iboland. Yes, one of the Ibo men from Orlu that I spoke about earlier said sarcastically in that recorded interview that any Ibo man or woman that you see getting married to a Benue, Yoruba, or Hausa, etc, is most likely an Osu, and that it's usually those groups of Ibos that get married to outsiders.

Even church priests and some Ibo folks (males and females) will tell you it is bad to discriminate against the Osus, but tell them to marry into those families, and they will stylishly decline the offer because of the strong societal stigma among the Ibos!

10. Mr. President's Peace Proclamation has naturally elicited mixed reactions from our people and across the country. While most stakeholders have violently condemned it, a few others have applauded It.

11. As a principal participant in the entire saga, I have taken some time to study the terms therein and have come to the conclusion that the Peace Pact is not as bad as it is being portrayed by those genuinely opposed to it. It is certainly, not a death sentence. It offers some way towards a lasting peace and stability in our dear State.

By popular demand, most businessmen here have agreed that:

i. Every TLC deal should have the name of picker.
ii. If you doubt the TLC deal, confirm from the picker, request that ownership be transferred from the deal hunter to you before shipping.
iii. When requesting for an AIN deal, dont ask people to message you on whatsapp, just ask them to quote you then you reach out to them.
iv. For AIN deal, if seller is not in your location and you dont really trust the seller, kindly make use of an escrow. It is better to lose 500 naira or 1k that would be charged by an escrow than to lose 100k.
v. Everyone should save as many contacts as they can so that when someone claims to be another person, you can easily detect because you have the original number saved.
vi. Deal hunters must have their whatsapp link in their signature.
vii. Deal buyers should asked to be quoted on Nairaland before proceeding to deal with any deal hunter especially those that contacts them on whatsapp.

Buyers/Sellers who fail to adhere to the stated rules of safe buying would be ignored cos you can't use your greediness and foolishness to give the business a bad name. If you come to wail after you've been scammed, you would be reported to the moderator for trying to give the business a bad name(just like the Scammers) or totally ignored or banned.

Finally, there will always be a case of a TLC deal gone bad. Panel consisting of about 3-5 people with Wisdom, Reputation , Maturity and Vast Knowledge of the PickUp Highs&Lows should be setup to resolve issues between dealhuter & buyers.. And in the case a decision is taken and the dealhuter or buyer errs ,, the Panel should be enriched with power (maybe forward such handle to the mod) to temporarily ban such persons from further transaction in the Technology Section..

As nominated here, the following people can be used as escows: Omicpet Frinx Greentimbs and Nicerazor Wildchild1 rakiticbarca

Recently, jute leaf (ewedu) has been raved about for a lot of things – as a stellar component in healthy eating, as Cleopatra’s beauty secret, as a potent anti-wrinkle and as a super food which is being incorporated into health products.

In Japan, dried jute leaves are even made into pills which women take as beauty supplements.

In African and Middle Eastern countries where healthy eating is the norm, jute leaves are the main ingredients in mucilaginous and very slimy potherb called molokhiya.

Jute leaves, also known as Saluyot leaves in the western part of Nigeria, are used in the preparation of ewedu soup. Once grinded, it’s got a slimy consistency just like okra.

It’s a good source of fibre, low in calories but high in vitamins. In herbal medicine, it is used to control or prevent dysentery, worm infestation and constipation.

In Ayurveda (an ancient Hindu system of healing), jute leaves are used for pain, piles, and tumours.

Elsewhere, the leaves are used for cystitis, dysuria, fever, and gonorrhoea. The cold infusion is said to restore the appetite and strength.

Jute leaves pack the antioxidant trio of Vitamins A, C and E which fend off free radicals, thereby protecting from cancer and other degenerative diseases. The ACE vitamins also happen to be the most beautifying vitamins, increasing collagen production to keep the skin firm and young-looking
