Such audacity of lies from a 19-year-old girl and her collaborators. There is a digital trail of her phone SMS communication. Now she has confessed on Channels TV to haven scored 249.

They should all be arraigned in court ASAP.

I was supporting the girl at first but jamb just has too many proofs to back themselves up.

They even showed sms logs of how the girl texted them 4 times..and the computer kept sending her the real score she got. The girl also sent a text of the dubious result and the computer replied with her original score.
Nicely put.

Thanks to advanced technology. I'm really pissed off over this result saga and the massive deception associated with it.

This 19-year-old girl, her complicit father, and several of her irredimable ethnic kinsmen online and offline who had launched a massive propaganda war (and were supporting this embarrassing forgery) in the face of overwhelming evidence should be DEEPLY ashamed of themselves.

The personal attacks on the examination body and Professor in charge by these dweebs and simpletons shows the extreme danger in herd mentality triggered by ethnic bigotry.

Now, that 19-year-old girl has owned up to receiving the original score of 249 before the result forgery just because she wanted to dubiously get an unmerited scholarship.

Education › Re: Top 10 Candidates In 2023 UTME As Announced By JAMB by XAUBulls: 10:41pm On Jul 04, 2023
leanonme82:
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said a certain Ejikeme Mmesoma (Joy) who had earlier been celebrated to have scored the highest mark in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) falsified her result.

The board has also threatened to withdraw the candidate’s actual results for allegedly falsely announcing herself as the top-scorer of the computer-based test used to rank candidates seeking admissions into Nigerian universities.

According to JAMB, Miss Mmesoma’s actual score in the test was 249 and not the 362 she claimed to have scored...

The agency, therefore, advised the public to always cross check these claims by candidates before rushing to honour them with undeserving awards. Meanwhile, JAMB has said it would withdraw the results of Miss Mmesoma and also prosecute her.

“This is not all, as the Board would, in due course, investigate all candidates laying claims to higher scores than they actually obtained. Once discovered, such candidates’ original results would be withdrawn forthwith, and they would be handed over to relevant security agencies for prosecution.”

There could be a glitch with the QR-code technology from JAMB if it is WAS NOT fully certified.

In any event, JAMB has a lot of evidence of people who tried to game the system in the years past by getting fake results.

In the event that JAMB is at fault, the Prof. Ishaq Oloyede would have to resign.
This doesn't remove the FACT that Prof. Oloyede pioneered the use of innovative technologies in conducting exams while he was at UNILORIN.

Why do IIGB0S always look for ways to justify fraud. The girl fraudulently increased her scores and all you could say is that it's because she's Igbo.

Result manipulation and fake degrees are rampant in the south east and you know it. These are the effects of "result upgrade" centers scattered all over south east.
This is getting serious!

I once read an undercover report in a national newspaper online within the last 5 years how some State-owned Unis in Nigeria, but majorly in Iboland were neck deep in result upgrades in return for sex and money. One of the girls who was interviewed and supposedly graduated from school said she didn't have the core knowledge of what she studied while in the Uni but had to sort her way out.

This were two boys caught practicing gay in Enugu. They claim to be Yorubas who relocated to Enugu State because things were cheaper to buy in the state: on further investigations they disclose that their mother is Delta igbo while their fathers is a Yoruba.

They confess of Practices gay among themselves and have not included outsiders from Enugu to join them in man to man sexual intercourse.
They both allegedly have an Ijebu-Ode father and Delta Ibo-speaking mother.
This should be further investigated to let their families know what's going on.

I remember reading (over the last 10 years) in the online newspapers of some full-blooded Ibos in Lagos and Ogun States who were arrested for being into homosexuality as well.

It's a dangerous act that can lead to getting infected with sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV through anal wear and tear.

Infact they maybe part of the IPOB UGM terrorist themselves, collecting money from the senator and still doing evil in other areas in the South East.
You took the words right out of my mouth. The so-called Nnewi vigilance group would definitely been infiltrated by moles. So, they should be at alert.

The so-called "Bakassi boys" in Anambra many years ago also got infiltrated by some criminally-minded elements who then used the opportunity to detain males and females illegally in underground cells and even raped and impregnated some of the young women who were arrested in lieu of their armed robber boyfriends.

Anambra had to disband that vigilance turned rogue group back then.

Journalism has really gone to the dogs!

The level of poorly constructed English that the Editor of this newspaper allowed to get published for public reading is horrendous! This is how young students (even adults) fail their final year exams because they read the wrong spelling errors in the daily newspapers.

Majors-General, Brigadiers-General, and Lieutenants-General are the CORRECT SPELLINGS and designations of those military ranks, NOT the trash the Editor allowed to get published here.

I'm surprised that non of the readers of this NL thread pointed the spelling errors in the published military ranks out.

My father came back from England in 1975 after studying there for almost 10 years. He was happy to come back and rushed back home. People of his age then all rushed back because the naira was two to $1. You could buy a new car for an amount you can’t even buy a tyre for today. So, you can see the importance of money. The brain drain was to our side (towards Nigeria). But the moment the money started getting useless — in other words, you have to work 10 times more to get the same thing, because of the fact that your money has been eroded and people say, "am working so hard, and I am only earning peanuts" — the brain drain started.

The point I am trying to make is, the first lesson of governance is the fear of inflation. And what is inflation? Inflation means that you are not managing your money supply very well. An Inflation rate as high as 25 per cent means that in four years, the money they are paying you at that time will not buy you a single loaf of bread because inflation has been taking out 25 per cent each year. An example is pensioners who may be earning static salaries. So, if you’re not getting 25 per cent increase in salaries annually, it means that in four years’ time, the money is nothing.

We need to tackle the inflation menace head on. We can't shy away from it. All these trial and error economics won't save us if we don't fasten our belts and get serious.
Nicely put.

That's a load of insights into the dynamics of international trade and politics.

A Yoruba-Beninoise, Segun Adjadi Bakari is the Foreign Affairs Minister of Benin Republic according to Prof. Osuntokun. But a multilingual Yoruba-Nigerian or any other career diplomat who can speak French would suffice as the Nigerian Ambassador to Benin Republic in order to be able to take advantage of the low hanging fruits.

I agree with Osuntokun, the Cotonou, Lagos, and Lekki seaports can co-exist without hurting the profitability of one another.
