When Fulani herdsmen kept terrorising Ibadan and other smaller towns, Igboho and other South west governors raised up against them by forming vigilantes groups and Amotekun. Here is Arewa who turned blind eyes against serious insecurity and terrorism ravaging their land for the past 10 years. To even think that these elements kept mute for 8 years during Buhari administration is one of five wonders of the world.

The point is that, what has these people, especially Arewa has been doing concerning insecurity in their land? What measures or resolutions did they made so far since all this years? Any call by Arewa or Northern groups is only motivated by politic.

To me, anyone protesting for anything other than constitutional review, regionalism or dissolution of Nigeria is not wise at all.

The fact that there was no written agreement between them made him susceptible to manipulation too. Money has exchanged hands through bank accounts, and that alone serves as evidence there is something between them.

You might think you have an upper hands because there was no written agreement, but what if the man also claims that he promise to pay him double if eventually decided not to sell the car again?

He need to apply wisdom in this case. You don't just return people's money when you fail on your part, you offer them interest even before asking. This is the only way you make victims not to feel cheated. In 99% cases, the affected person don't collect interest because they are already at peace with your attitude.

You made a mistake by sending him back exactly what he paid, you should've at least added something as interest for him.

The man feel cheated, he might even thought you spent his money to solve an issue but used car as a cover up. Don't use the police or take law into your hands if you want peaceful resolution, call some respected or good neighbours to help you beg him that you are ready to add something for him as interest. You may be surprise how easily the issue will be resolved. He may not even collect the interest again after seeing how genuinely sorry you are.

The only option you have now is to beg him.

CBN should not even be selling dollars to private people either as PTA, school fees or medical expenses. Those that want any of these should source for it at the open market. These are the needs of rich people and so let them pay for it. CBN selling to them is affecting every citizen where the overwhelming majority (80-85%) are either poor or middle class, with CBN selling the BTA/PTA/Medical/school expenses in dollar, these ones - the poor and middle class are now subsidizing the rich.

The problem is not about selling but ability of those buying to withdraw in cash and sell to BDC at higher rate. Once you are unable to withdraw Dollar notes over the counter here in Nigeria, there is no way you would be able to sell to BDC at higher rate. The only option left for you is to withdraw it in your destination countries.

There are some news I read these days that always leave me very very very puzzled.
I'm sorry for the detour from the topic,but I read a news yesterday and my mind couldn't understand it,some Northern House of Representatives members opposed a bill seeking to amend the constitution to allow only Only B.sc and HND holders contest for election to the post of the President and Governors.
Shame on all any Nigerian that still believes a school certificate holder,or a diploma is enough qualification to rule Nigeria.
I repeat again shame,shame,shame,shame on these people.
A diploma will only get you a bank teller job in a bank,an entry of level 6 into the civil service,but these people feel that kind of certificate is enough to rule Nigeria.
Anyone that's intellectually lazy to accquire a HND or B.Sc should never ever be allowed to be a governor,President or even a legislator.
Do these people understand how intelligent a president must be, someone who has to read and form opinions from reports he/she will receive from the NSA,from the CBN,From the NNPCL,from more than 30 Ministers,I mean the President must have an opinion on everything going on in the country and in 2024,a Northern Representative feels a Waec certificate or diploma is enough,shame on these people.
We must tell these Northern Representative that don't have any shame to have this kind of opinion.

Back to the Topic,I believe this is the best time for President Tinubu to have the balls to scatter and restructure Nigeria,he must quickly use these hard times to quickly restructure Nigeria.

Going by the current economic realities in Nigeria, it has become important for the APC led administration to step up to keep the country together.

Here are some strategies to deploy:

1. Roll out a plan
Tinubu administration needs to roll out a detailed solution highlighting how they intend to improve local production in agriculture and manufacturing.

The plan must feature long term and short term solution and must be in the public space for accountability.

2. Give manufacturers soft landing....The government needs to relax on multiple taxes being issued to manufacturers considering the rising cost of production materials, power and product distribution.

Also, duties of importing materials must be slashed.

3. Reduce Government Expenditure- The cost of running governance in Nigeria is too expensive!

If government can implement a 40% cut starting out from June this year, it will give them opportunity to use the monies saved for other developmental projects

Change begins with government before it moves to the people.


4. Fight insecurity-one of the major cause of food shortage is insecurity. It has made it impossible for local farmers to go to farm for fear of being killed.

If the government really wants food sufficiency, guarantee the lives of the local farmers.

5. Allow more private individuals into power-To reduce the current challenges, Nigeria must allow the power industry thrive by choking the corruption within the industry.

Issues within the generation, transmission and distribution networks must be looked into and taken care of.

If different power investors come in knowing their investments won't be put into jeopardy, within 6-12 months, we can witness key infrastructural investment and begin to see some benefits within a few months.

Who do you expect to implement those key points you highlighted above?

The problem has gone beyond what you think. What is coming , is actually greater than what we are seeing now.

The only solution left to fix Nigeria as fast as possible is regionalism or eradicate states and give local governments full autonomy to deal with people directly within their jurisdictions.

Reasons government can't do what is right by scrapping BDC, put heavy charges on Dom accounts and allow only online transactions;

1. BDC operators are helping them to exchange looted fund into dollars.

2. All of them has secrets domiciliary account where they keep their ill gotten wealth.

3. Majority of them are into dollar/naira arbitration trading.

4. They save physically in dollars in their underground homes.

5. It is not easy to steal big in Naira, so dollars is their safe heaven to steal enough.

Number 1 enemy of Nigeria is our Politicians, follow by elites, business tycoons, civil servants and the messes.

It was a result of illegal means of getting money by many Nigerians today. Besides, there were few opportunities to make money then, example is online businesses that some are making big money consistently.

It took the guy several years to come out of the shock and move on. So, if you are to train a woman, let her have all your children before you do so. Even at that, don't expect the same woman you send to school because if you see how some of them fovk around on campuses, you will wonder if they are actually married.

This is not too much considering the cost of running a university system and how much some private primary/secondary schools charge these days. Though faculty due and registration of courses is somehow too much to me.

If only one thing must be subsidy in this world, it should be education at all level. It is very important for any givien society to educate its citizens, and the only way to totally kill illiteracy is through free education.

Modern authority or government is a big scam in this part of the world. It is purely an avenue to enrich selected few with commonwealth.

If you read the article well, you will see where he said Nigeria are just borrowing and printing more note to finance this, and the debt servicing has surpassed 100% of our total revenue. In this case, government don't have enough money to pay subsidy except it keep borrowing with already accumulated debt. I am sure you also see where he said some people took advantage of official market, buy low at official rate and sell to black market at double rate.

From this revelation, removal of fuel subsidy and floating market is not a bad idea, just that the time of removal was not right. We should've fixed our refineries, ensure at least moderately stable power before we do so.

But all the same, it is much more better to borrow money to pay subsidy than to borrow it for politicians to embezzled.

In Africa, people are worth their reel value. In the Western world, you can be worth 2 million dollars and your real value is less than 100k.

The whole western dream is an illusion! Soak kids in debt right from college till they die. Is that what you call life? Where people have to race to service debt because they don’t want to get back on the street.

Whats real in the western world? Why they will always cajole you yo even get candy on credit.

Africans are living a better and more secured life. Not in actual security, but future security.

In real sense, you own nothing in the western world. You just need to get it wrong in a big way and you will be back to square one!

You never own outrightly! Taxes will keep hitting you till the day you die. And you just default on those taxes and everything you owned will either be foreclosed or retrieved.

Africans live a more peaceful life but they never appreciate till they are soaked up in debt in another man’s country.

That is what made their countries better. Humans are not suppose to possesse anything apart from good living. What is the uses of accumulated properties and wealths when non of them will follow you to the grave? It was this selfish mentality that kept Africans where they are today.
