God bless you sir, this is bitter truth alot of people fail to know. Black man culture is never design to make him progress. The culture of greed and domineering can never make any society progress. A typical black man is evil, envious, self centered, and lack mental capacity to create a modern society.

Tell me why the people with functioning brains will intentionally destroyed their homes as a result of greed but takes their fortunes to another man's land to enjoy. Why will someone call himself a leader with all resources under his control but could not build a world class hospital in his country but prefer to use foreign hospitals for his medical checkup. Tell me why an experience Surgion, Doctor, lecturer and many financial experts in their fields will refuse to rescue their country but chose to be second hands values in another man's land. There is even one whose his son represents another country in a game of football, while he keep showing his fake love for his people and home land.

Forget about modern equipments or technology being sold to us, black man is cursed, and primitive in his way of thinking. He will never make progress, until he make a U-turn to love his fellow men and country.

Nigeria has been regressing since after civil war in 1970, it is just that unlike today, people produced 80% of what they consume, and they did not depend much on urbanisation. Besides, majority were not educated enough to know the kind of atrocities being perpetrated by these rulers. There were also no efficience mean of communication and social medias like today.

Nigeria leaders both past and present dont have brain capacity to rule a modern society. For instance, if you check from 1980 till today, you will discover that price of essential commodities and fuels keep tripled in every regime.

Until we end states and deal directly with local governments, Nigeria will remain the same till thy kingdom come.

What is the purpose of this complain if I may ask. If you don't like how your employer is treating you, the first thing you do is to start looking for another job and leave.

You are a man, you should know what is good for yourself, why complaining when you have mental capacity to move to another school or take another job.

@op, those things were bought with an hour wage in UK, and that is the difference. 1 British pound is about 1200 in Nigeria, how many people earned 12,000 per hour in Nigeria? I agreed utility bills and others may be way too higher in UK but unlike here, you get what you paid for. In Nigeria , those on minimum wage cannot live 10% quality life compare to their counterpart abroad.

Nigeria/Africa are not only suffering from corruptions, but lack of quality leaders who dont know what to do for the masses. Since second Republic, no Nigeria leaders at all tier of government address the actually needs of the masses. Not that they don't want to do it, they simply lack mental capacity to know what is good for their society.

You cant progress as a country wuthiout taking your human resources seriously, and that is the secret of western countries we are all running to now. If Nigerians can comfortably feed themselves with little or free, our problem is 50% solved. For instance, what is the logic in removing fuel subsidy to increase workers salaries? Is that not the same thing? If fuel subsidy is a scam perpetrated by few cabals, and must go, why can't we use the money realised from this to subsidise other sector of the economy(Especially foods) that everyone will benefit instead of increasing salary for a few?

You know, when having a conversation or referring to a person, you don't go about calling the persons surname but the name, imagine using English names with no obvious identity of his tribe, that's why I prefer our names to English, and when abroad, they are always fascinated with names different from the usual English names when they hear it, that's why I respect Indians, they do not compromise or water down their identity no matter where they are.

Well, I see names as a mare personal identity that shouldn't be attribute to tribal identity. What matter most is the meaning of a name. I used to think same way before, until I became more Liberal and understanding. I focus more on the meaning of a name irrespective of the language it being called.

If someone is called JOY or MERCY and another one is called AYO or ANU, should we say JOY or MERCY Is bad just because it being called in English? Aside that, English is our second language, and has became part of us. Have you ever seen a Nigerian parents naming their child " chun Chin' or Tiago?

This is not a stone age when people were more obsessed with their lineages. People borrow your culture, identity and traditions when you are at advance stages of civilizations. Besides, what is so honourable in accepting or speaking a language but rejected names that comes with it?

Lmao valid points there, very valid and sensible, but then we have to promote our culture and tribes, part of which is our use of native names, I for one did not give my kids english names because to me, english names sound ridiculous, more like bland with no identity.

As long as they answer their surname, I don't think you have anything to worry about. For instance, a child can be giving 3 names out of which one will be English or foreign names.

There is great advantage in answering a name that will not align to any tribe in Nigeria. I have many friends back them in school, if you don't see their Id cards, you will never know their tribes.

But why will Nigeria be selling power to other neighbouring countries when we can't boast of uninterrupted 24 hours power supply?

Why do we hate ourselves to this extent.

He just took the right step by publicising the matter, otherwise, the bank will do nothing no matter the evidence he provided before them.

The problem is not only with Ecobank but all Nigeria banks. I keep telling people, if you think Opay, Kuda or Moniepoint are not safe, it means you never had issue with traditional banks before.

About 9k was dubiously deducted from my account, up till now, nothing is done to return the money despite visited them several times. And if you call their customer care representatives, they will say you should visit any of their branches near you.

Ogar, I shop in both local and supermarkets and I can tell you that the supermarkets are sometimes even cheaper than your local stores. Ask anyone around you who shop in supermarkets.

Ok, PM me with your location, if you stay near me, we can go to both supermarkets and local market and see.

Even pharmacies drugs are way more expensive than what you get from normal drugs shops.

I'm not saying there's no price competition in the market but the difference these days is not much. So it will even be better to just add the little difference and get the one with a higher quality.

Oga, super market price is far different to what you get in a normal market or provision shops around.

You can do some practicals by yourself, you will see the big difference he was talking about.

I am in a bit of a fix and need advice on how best to confront this situation .

There is this mama put restaurant besides my house in lagos but separated by a fence.
However the said restaurant is built attached to the fence in the next compound and that makes it awfully close to my windows and they cook with firewood not even charcoal but all manner of firewood.

The owner of the mama-put a yoruba woman ( very hard working ) starts cooking by 6 a.m up till 11 p.m with smokes going up and into the windows of my bedroom ( upstairs) and other rooms in my house making my room very stuffy and causing me to keep shutting all my windows .

Personally I can't stand any form of smoke be it cigarettes or smokes from burning stuffs

With the high cost of fuel I can't keep running Gen to keep my rooms ventilated and power supply is poor in my area .

I have thought of approaching her concerning this matter but from my observation the woman is very harsh n raze and I fear she might not reason with me .

I understand it's her means of livelihood but I am suffering cus of it and all my cloths in my wardrobes are all smelling smoke ... My room has smoke smell as a result of this , it only reduces if I keep my windows shut for weeks .
I hate problems and I avoid conflicts in every way ... But I have been suffering this for long now

Is there any authority I can report to ?

Or is there a better way to make her understand my plight and switch to cooking with gas without appearing like her enemy of progress ?

For the first time ever, I feel like this problem or issue has no solution ( especially with the kind of local women running restaurants). If you report her to police or any authority in change, they will come but she will serve them better food and meats plus good drink to step it down and Continue her fire wood the next day. If you report her the second time, she will bribe the authority with food again, but this time, she will adjust the position of her cooking spot but the smoke won't stop disturbing you.

And if you try to grumble again after the second time, those mamas around and some of her Agbero customers will take it up and frustrate the hell out you in that house. If that still not stop you from complaining, they will approach your house caretaker or landlord to evict you.

Please move out of that place if you can.

the matter has been settled. she came to my house and asked me to forgive and forget. if you read through the pages you will see it. the daughter wanted to come with her friends but the mother refused so the child didn't come to me.

I've kept my distance to a reasonable degree. I only feel uncomfortable for the kids when they come to me and say they're hungry which I can't drive them away.

I still care for the kids but I'm traumatized someway. I don't let them stay long in my house anymore. I help at a distance but still provide periodically cos they're children and shouldn't be hungry. God will bless us all.

You don't actually base on what her child told you, children do lie sometimes, especially the moment they knew you won't give them a particular thing if they don't talk about something.

Try to let her mum know about it and settle it amicably.

Parliamentary system is a way forward, return the country to regionalism or better still federal government and 774 local governments. The sharing formula should be 80% local governments and 20% federal government.

State government is a waste of resources.
