They will surely reap what they sow. This is not about money, old people need affection of their children even if they dont give them anything. I've seen countless of them, you will think their wealthy children are wicked until you hear their stories.

No one can take care of you like your children when you are sick at old age.

In Africa where government dont take care of old people, children are the best investment anyone can ever invest in. Good children take care of their parents at old age.

Even if you have trillions of investments and properties, you still need sensible or well brought up children to manage them when you are old or die.

Is like you are new in the marriage, most of them are like that, especially if you try to be a lovely responsible family man.

Same way other politicians has nothing to lose if they obey Buhari or not. If Osinbajo relies solely on Buhari backing going to primary, he will definitely lose.

This is 100% true, Buhari preferred candidate is Osinbajo, but let think of it. Buhari is an outgoing president, politicians under APC platform has absolute nothing to lose by disobeying him, they also have nothing to gain by obeying him as the new candidate he endorse may turn his back on them after gaining power.

Remember this is not CPC of Buhari but APC with stong founding leaders that Buhari cant dictate to anyhow as regards changing of party constitution.

There is no way consensus candidate will work with APC arrangement especially now that one of its founding members is interested to contest.

At this junction, a sensible politician will rather work for his preferred candidate rather than supporting who Buhari that is leaving power supported.

Change the constitution immediately.

Local Government must be thoroughly reform to allow total independent and participation of communities leaders.

Each minister from each geo-political to which local government administrators report to. This ensures total elimination of state Governments.

Six prime ministers representing 6 geo-political zones. These are different from zonal ministers or ministries, They will serves as representatives of zones at central under a ceremonial capacity, while the zonal ministers run the day- day affairs of their respective zone.

Each zone must be independent and pay royalties or taxes to the central to enable her fund national security, and other foreign affairs. Central government will still under the control of central government.

Law making and implementation should be a duties of 6 prime ministers at the central after referendum or plebiscite must have conducted in their respective zone.

Education, security, economic, trade and commerce, and international trade would be entirely the business of zonal governments.

Summary: 3 tiers system of government.

1. Prime ministers/central government

2 zonal ministers/zonal government

3. Local governments( headed by chairman or mayor).

I will opt for zonal governments over regional governments because it encompassed same ethnic nationalities than regional governments.

At this junction, it only logical for APC to zone it to where it has strong base in South. You cant zone your ticket to strong opposition base and expect a victory. Remember PDP is very strong in the North as well, and they may zone their ticket to the same region, so tell me where Amechi would get massive vote if SE, SS go for PDP and aggrieved SW dont work for him?

Federal government, zonal representatives and 774 local governments.


The federal government will comprises of 6 elected members( called ministers), each minister from existing 6 geo- political zones. These ministers are the heads of Government of their respective zone. They oversees the activities of local governments through the zonal representatives under them at central. The zonal representatives are not part of federal government but directly under ministers .

Federal government controls the army and foreign affairs, while zonal government determine the security, education and economy of their respective zone.

Election to various local governments and that of representatives is entire the business of zonal governments, which must take place the same time with other zonal elections, in order to allow uniformity at central.

Zonal representatives will comprises of 90 members. 15 members from each geo-political zone. Unlike presidential system, these representatives from zones are not law makers but mere representatives of their people from their respective zones. The duty of law making or amendment of law should be left to plebiscite, through electronics voting or popular opinions from each zone. 2/3 of zonal endowments can amend or makes the law that solely concern federal government affairs. In this case, zonal vote or opinion represents all its masses. Zonal governments are responsible for law making or execution in their respective zone.

774 local governments - Each local government will comprise 10 executive members headed by mayor/councillor and a member each from communities under it. For instance, if there are 20 communities under a local government, the total number of local government council will be 30, 10 official members and 20 unofficial members representing each community. The unofficial members must be heads of landlords in each of these communities. This heads of landlords are not entitle to any salary or arrears, they are only part of executive in order to ensure equity and fairness in terms of developments distribution in their communities.

Each zone must pay certain amounts ( not tax) to federal government to maintain her budget. Resources control should be entirely in the hands of zonal governments. Off shores resources would be control by federal government and share equally among zonal governments after retaining certain percentage for her budget.

Budget deficit would be funded by Zonal governments, while budget surplus would be shared among same zonal governments.

There are many clauses that must still be inserted but let me stop here to see people opinions.
