Politic/elections are always determine by party structure and spending power. I've been going to polling boots since inception of current democracy in 1999, what i want you to know is that, over 80% of voters are illiterate or semi-illiterate who are not on internet. He who have more foot soldiers and money usually win elections.

Now this is the issue, If APC give its ticket to someone withiout solid structure, and the other aspirants who control large structures do not want to work with him, they can easily sell out these structures to the opposition that is ready to spend.

I hardly discuss politics on Nairaland because quite alot of people here know next to nothing in reality.

I dont really have special person as my favourite before you say I am Tinubu advocate, but mark my words today, Osinbajo presidency will further worsing our situation in this country( both economy and politics). If you knew the population of Christians in the North, especially the North Central, plus the entire South: which is largely Christian dominated in at least 13 states, you would keep quiet.

We have: Ekiti, Ondo (majorly Christian states) in Yoruba land, the rest 4 are 50-50 at most, the SE is 99% Christian dominated and despite their preference for Obi, so many are willing to vote for Osinbajo, the SS is purely Christian, so what are you all saying?

Religion aside, a lot of educated, well-meaning and non-politically partisan Nigerians don't even believe in Tinubu due to his corruption-related antecedents and also because he is ailing.

Osinbajo is the surest bet for APC.

There is need to conduct primary elections in any democratic system of government. The mode of chosen candidates as stipulated in the constitution is strictly followed by the parties, and I think is the best way except we want to totally dish out democracy.

Take a flight to Ibadan, you will see Ife direct bus/cars at Airport junction. You can also take a direct bus to Ife from Berger park or to Ibadan and proceed from there. When you get to Ife, just ask anyone you are going to the General hospital as it popularity called,or better still enter OAU campus and go through staffs quarters.

North is already divides with NNPC, APC governors and stakeholders who will never destroy/lose their structures and advantages to become strangers in Atiku government. Best way for a southerner to win has always been...unite the South, and get most of the Middle Belt behind you...which is how people like Obasanjo and GEJ won.

Northerners win again by getting most of the Middle Belt, and dividing the South,,,Buhari won that way. (Yaradua won via Obasanjo's backing).

Right now, only way for a Southerner to win is to hope that enough disgruntled elements migrate to SDP or NNPP in enough numbers to form a third force. But it ain't going to happen.

APC will win if they field a Southerner. The agitation for presidency to come south is too strong among political elites including the governors. Dont ever expect PDP of Atiku to get reasonable votes from SS and SW, even SE with the way they treated Obi wont go his way this time.

APC states in the north are more than PDP, you dont expect these stake holders to destroy their structures for PDP. And with NNPC on board, Atiku cant get a block votes from the north. A united south, with APC candidate will defeat any Northern candidate.

The General election is.... Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (APC) Vs (PDP) Nyesom Wike.

I think APC wont be so foolish to give someone who cannot win his state or senatorial district or total have control of party structure in his state its ticket , They will lose terribly. PDP too wont be that foolish to give Wike, whose only influence is being the Governor of wealthy state like porthacourt its ticket. Both of them are not sellable.

Nigeria only need a charismatic leader, who can unify or mended already broken relationships among ethnic nationalities, solve insecurity problems and ensure proper economic blueprint.

Someone like Peter Obi, Osinbajo, Fayemi and co dont have much needed characters to rule a complex country like Nigeria(especially in this our current political climate). Expect a tough time and probably a civil war if any of them become president.
