TravelRe: Have You Ever Been Denied Visa To A Country Before? Share Your Experience by Yoighaman(m):
Calypso80:
I cannot decieve myself being whom/ what I am not. Holding a citizenship of another country doesn't change my racial or cultural status. If you are in a foreign country that makes you a foreigner, I was born and brought up in Nigeria my country, that's where my heart is.

I don't expect you to understand all these if you are in Nigeria and never travelled out, though it all still depends on individual.
I understand you perfectly well. Your line of thought has always been my position as well. I was born and bred in Nigeria, but I travel abroad.

I was in a restaurant in London with a friend some years back and I overheard a Nigerian with our accent calling himself a Briton; I was taken aback by his comment and wondered in my mind "How can I say I am British or American?" because deep down in my heart, I know I am not; I will be troubled in my spirit if I try to claim who or what I am not, just like you rightly said.

On the other hand, If my children are born and bred in the UK or US, they can claim whatever they like but they would know their lineage.

As for me, just like you- Home will be home, that's where my heart lies.

Cheers.

You don't get it, I hold one of the 5 world most powerful passports. I can travel over 160 countries without queing up in any of their respective Embassies. Before now I visit Nigeria 2 times a year.

I am not an ilegal immigrant. Just tired of being a foreigner, tired of being afraid to stay in my own country 'as if man na fugitive' just because of the embeciles who selected themselves to be leaders.

For how long? Hope you get the word 'fugitive ' now?

Modified. Canada, USA and Asian countries inclusive.
Yeah, now I understand you better....but if I may ask; Why are you tired of being a foreigner?

Tired of travelling (running like a fugitive) I look forward to a peaceful Nigeria as one or divided, whichever way. Me, I am tired being a foreigner.

Good luck to those wishing to travel out.
So sorry about your plight, I can imagine...but why not come back home instead of constantly avoiding immigration?

May poverty be eradicated from our people, instead of killing themselves, why not use this same energy to face the greedy politicians who put them in this position. SMH.

I am angry right now,
My brother’s wife is so full of pain, whenever she sight me.
I don’t know where this hatred is coming from, today she did worst than before.
a male friend visited, and I went to the kitchen to cook and serve him.

After my friend left she started ranting, and I shouted back at her.

She packed out my belongings , and she started throwing my bags and other stuffs outside.
She locked the house entrance and left with the keys

I decided to stay calm and wait for my brother to come back.

Because everything my brother own, we both struggled for it.
@words in bold: He went to the kitchen to cook and serve his friend. What's wrong in doing that?

We should stop this nonsense of making women feel like they got authority when we get married to them; for Christ's sake, this is my brother I've known all my life, someone we came out from the same womb and sucked the same breasts; to put a total stranger who I have probably known for maybe just 3 years over him is unacceptable.

She even had the effontry to throw out the guys luggages. Men should stop being sissies for crying out loud; we should know where to draw the line.

Do they know the pains of being a victim to a fraudster?

They should just keep quiet and allow the judge mete out the punishment the scammer deserves.

Which is better? A 45 year old with loads of money starting a family at that age, or a 36 year old struggler with a family? What is the advantage?
Well said.

The way some people reason baffles me; someone is planning how to get a better life for himself despite having couple of millions in naira; that person is here talking about having grandchildren.

You can tell these are the kind of people who say marriage and children bring good luck without making adequate plans for their future.

People should start putting on their thinking caps.

"The RUGA agenda on paper is telling us in beautiful lines that:

1. Government will GAZETTE LANDS from the 36 STATES of Nigeria.

2. These lands will be dedicated to RANCHING to accommodate Pastoralists and their Cows so they can stop wandering all over the places where they have been at constant friction with Farmers.

3. The Government will provide everything the Cattle farmers need so they won't have cause to ever wonder outside of the Grazing area.

4. In all likelihood, by any reasonable balance of probability, the majority [ if not 100% ] of the occupants of that RUGA will be FULANIS. And we must remember that this RUGA are extremely large expanse of land as big as an average LGA. The Fulanis will therefore be kept out of mischief and th criminal elements amongst them easily identifiable.

That is the way it is painted but Nigerians are much wiser because we have spent the last 60 years studying our leaders especially their propensity for insincerity and abandonment of projects!

The first thing that is a CERTAINTY is that the Government, somehow or any how, will derail from the original intensions of the project, assuming the intensions were even honest in the first place.

There are plenty basis for this cynism.

1. Somewhere between Ore and Benin, the Federal Government sited a "LEPERS COLONY" in an area off the Ore-Benin expressway where LEPERS were kept and being taken care of.

The idea was to reduce the risk of spreading the dreaded LEPROSY disease so they camped all patients/victims in that place.

I am not sure the Government sustained that project for up to 5 years. It became a common scene on that expressway to see the LEPERS trooping out in large numbers to line the dangerous expressroads as BEGGARS.

2. Somewhere in the town of ORU, near Ijebu-Ode, the same busy-body Federal Government sited what it called "REFUGEE CAMP" to assist the rescued citizens of Liberia during the civil wars in that country.

The Nigerian Government in less than a year abandoned them after a short while, obviously some people have just used the plan to sweep money from the budget.

Those guys quickly poured onto the streets, some had to take to crime, many became beggars and their women went into prostitution.

It was terrible for the Ijebu People of ORU.

Now, tell me, a Federal Government with this antecedents will now embark on a project of creating RUGA where Pastoralists will be encouraged and assisted to live in and NEVER TO LEAVE.

What will happen is very easy to predict:

1. The Fulanis would have been ASSIGNED LAND BY LAW, FREE OF CHARGE all over the 36 States of the country.

2..They will IMMEDIATELY POUR all the population of FULANIS they can find from all over the world into those lands.

3. They will quickly install Serikis all over the 36 RUGA who will gradually build an Emirate.

4. The 36 RUGAs will have Military Garrisons for FULANI geurilla fighters.

5. The Government will make a show of the efficiency at the RUGA for one or two years and abandon them.

6. Gradually, the Government will certainly STOP supplying FREE FEEDS and WATER for their cows in the RUGA.

7. As the Pastoralists DONT DESIRE or have any plans to spend a kobo on the animals in the course of their business, the HERDSMEN WILL TAKE TO THE STREETS AGAIN!!!!

8. What it will then mean is that the HERDSMEN will HOLD THEIR LAWFUL RUGA and at same time will resume the HARASSMENT OF FARMERS ON THEB OUTSIDE OF THE RUGA and this time, they are fully fortified with more than adequate capacity for TERRORISM. They will knock every of their Neighbours to submission.

In due course, they will remember Uthman Dan Fodio's delayed agenda and there can't be a better time to resume than at a time when they have enough men, resources of 36 strong bases and a Federal Security infrastructure that is most certianly under their control.

In all of their planning, the planners and their conspirators will assume that every other Nigerians are dumb and stupid."

Also heard of a story like this, a girl was fvcking two friends codely and the boyfriend got to know, so he invited for a weekend, fvcked the hell out of her and threw her out on Monday morning. She went to the other guy, who kept her for some days, bleeped her well well(said he bleeped her ass also) and threw her out also. Now the bitch lost both ways, she was a fool to think either guy was going to keep her.
This happened to me and a close friend many years ago...she eventually lost the both of us.

It leaves me to keep wondering what these ladies 'smoke' or what beliefs they have. They usually think they are very smart and sharp; truth is, they actually are, only God can reveal them to us.

So I wrote a post on how to spend it

As we all know valentine is this Sunday, it is a special day for lovers and most times it usually ends with sex except on. few cases(argue with your keypad)

But the last thing people usually think about is the bedsheet to be used on that.

Come on, having sex on that same sheet can be a little bit boring especially if it is a worn-out sheet.

Oya come let me help you spice that day with a clean, beautiful, and romantic sheet that would make the sex worthwhile even if you are a two seconds man(na joke or tongue) grin

I promise to add a pack of condom with it grin
May God bless your hustle.

Adieu papa!

Jakande's legacy still endure! In his time he gave us classrooms, he served us real food. His enemies termed the classrooms "poultry" but hey, we were forged in those humble huts, our destinies were molded. Today, we are men and women of intellect and rare substances because of your discretion and milk of kindness.

I remember in the early 80s while I was in pry 2 and 3. We had good teachers.

The syllabus was strictly adhered to. Education was so good.

Growing into adulthood, I later knew the Ajah road LCC recently upgraded was constructed by him.

The day I met you at the airport was a day I won't forget. Gentle and angelic. Our gaze met. I felt an immortal grace, and it left a mark. Thanks for giving us Lagos.

You already wrote your epitaph with celestial ink, on stones so precious.

Thank you Baba Kekere!
