We call them trophy wives, i love how today's men are raising the bar when it comes to dating by not settling for anyone just because she is beautiful.

As a matter of fact just yesterday on Twitter, a girl was trying to match make her friend to prospective young dudes who work in tech and people called her bluff, by asking pertinent questions like: What does she do for a living? How much does she earn? Is she from a rich family?

Nobody want's to end up with a liabilty of a woman nowadays, she will drag you behind when other power couples are building wealth amongst themselves. And the OP is right, women who are georgeous looking are often bereft of character and what it takes to build a modern day family. As a matter of fact there is this notion that comes with having a beautiful woman as a companion because everyone assumes that she is taken, or shows little to no intrest in staying in a commited relationship.

Ever watched one of those spy movies where the bad guy maps out a nifty plan to breach a security protocol to steal data a troove of data unoticed, this reminds me of the popular TV show "Mr Robot" who is a nerdy computer hacker and along with his hacker group "F_s0c13ty" wiped out the financial data of the county and people woke up the next day to a cyber attack that made life unbearable, you can relate it to having your phone stolen or your computer crashing and you can't even backup your data.

The federal govt of Nigeria has been rather reckless with the registration of the NIN data capuring exercise. Nigeria is really a populous country and if there is anything we struggle to do in this part of the world is efficiency, when you bring efficiency into the mix, it cuts back on time, and gives you speed as a leverage to monitor things in real time. The NIN servers as a social identifier that gives you access to some social services and should not be handled by random sub contractors who just take a tent under the tree, get their laptop and charge for services that are presumed to be free and most likely budgeted for. The crux of my argument is that have we carried out an extensive security analysis to ensure if our data is being handled securely and not being sold to bad actors? Because a cyber breach of this magnitude would be embarassing for the most populous black country in Africa. With #1000 i was mandated to pay to register for a govt data capturing exercise that was suposedly free, so if i was a crime gang boss, and i opt to pay an NIN agent to compromise and hand me over data for over 3k people would there be punishment for folks like that who err? Do the NIN agents take an oath to safe guard the data that they look over.


I am of the opinion that the NIN exercise is too simplistic to register, and that bad actors could could register on it so as to have dual or multiple identities so bad that they can even use it to register multiple bank accounts for money laundering activities, multiple passports and so on. Plus for the fact that we share a boundary with other African nations, folks from Benin, Togo and it's environs could come here lie about their names, address and place of origin so as to have an NIN ID card, violla there you have it. Nigeria has become the easiest country to become a citizen just with #1000 note. When you become a citizen in America by birth, you get assigned a Social ID number which is a unique identifier to such child, and also in cases where you file for citizenship. Who knows how many non Nigerians have an NIN numbers by just strolling to a canopy and with #1k they are citizens.


Data is the new oil, and we owe it as a responsibility to be safeguard data with our life. Cyberwarfare can be catastrophic and can be embarrassing in ways you can't imagine. Hacker groups like Lazarus group, Our mine, Fancy bear and Moses staff are working round the clock as undermine governments and compromise national security.

A lot of younger men are continually showing disintrest in marrying these days anyways. My uncle who work as an automechanic complains about the same thing too. Aparently she is used to the high fly life and she is groaning due to the fact that she has to make some lifestyle changes and is kicking my uncle below the belt.

Before you talk about marriage you must also talk about dating, young Nigerian men are seeing no incentive to date in today's. The dating market is a joke to begin with, a lot of women who are looking for superficial T.V. kind of love which doesn't exsist, and a lot of men have been denied female attention from their teenage years up until adulthood and you are asking why don't men date.

The economy is also messed up too, i was on clubhouse room "ALPHA MALE MENTALITY" when a lot of folks were debating back and forth as to why there seems to be low marriage amongst Nigerians in the diaspora and a lot women said they don't want 50-50 type of relationship but they want one where their partner pays a significant amount of the bills. Whilst that is possible with some people, it isn't the reality for a lot of relationships out there.

Dating is a Nigerian girl today is about what you can give her, hardly would she ever go out of her way to get you gift or extend some kind gestures to you and going forward the men get tired because it feels like they are being used.

I have observed something very striking here in the north.


You will see a woman very young but she is already divorced.


She has many children when in the south, so many ladies her age aren't yet married.


Also, contrary to the belief that so many women here married as children, there are so many unmarried Hausa single ladies who are above 20 but have never been married.


But some of them could even be divorced and you don't know they were once married.


This is fueled by the tendency of their males to marry more than one wife.


One boy who married his wife few years ago is considering marrying another, even as he is contemplating divorcing his wife who is even a child.


Hausa girls are getting married more than southern girls because men are marrying up to 4 wives and because with N50,000 you can marry a wife.


Some girls are the ones who would provide the furniture while you provide the house.

Some girls even provide the accommodation where she and her husband will stay.


So men don't spend much for marriage.


I believe the international community should do something about those who marry children in the north.

The problem with Buhari regime is that they don't know to communicate business policies, that was why few months to him resuming office, there was massive capital flight which put pressure on our small forex reserve, amongst other factors.

I was part of the people who crossed the border 2019 when we found out that there was going to be a "2 months border closure" and that the border was going to be closed because of the increase in smuggling activites of drugs like Tramadol. A lot of people who trade around the border were awaiting for the re-opening of the border only for them to say turn around after 2 weeks and say border was going to be restricted for the export and import of certain goods and there was panic in the market.

Back in Uni, we all studied something called "Backward integration" if you want to produce something locally which you import, you need to do your research and make investment that will not only allow you to produce cheaply but also at a comparative advantage. We all know rice import is costing Nigeria a lot of $$$ and we need to engage communicate with Nigerian farmers on how we can 2x our local output and also invest in value chain that can guarantee economics on scale in that regard. But what did Buhari's regime do "Ban, outlaw, cancel, nullify".

One thing Nigerian market dosen't like is uncertainity and panic that will put more pressure on inflation and the middle class.
