, and sister Fayezik? |
Good piece. Very good piece. May Allah help us. |
@leochinedu I'm so happy for you. Alhamdulilah. May Allah make us firm on the true path and die as muslims. ![]() |
chief Imam:we know. we're joking too. |
uplawal:LOL. He too wouldn't want to do that. He knows we aren't available for such. |
Welcome sis. Toheebah. We'll make a headway insha Allah. |
Age is nothing but a number, especially in marriage. The individuals is what matters. Are they both matured enough to handle it? will the wife not be angry nd tell the hubby "I'm not your mate!" when he's playing the manly role? will the hubby not say" I should have married someone younger if the wife behaves like a woman? and so many issues like that. On a final note, we have a perfect example from the noble Prophet (saw) and Khadijah his wife who was about 15years older than Him, yet love and happiness blossomed in their home even after her death. |
I've been on and off. Combining so many things. thanks again. ![]() |
kulyie:Zumun bukmun umyun, fahum laa yarji'uun. ![]() |
toba:I'm fine, thanks. And you? |
Alhamdulilah. May Allah bless the union and give you beautiful children that'll be a pride to you and for Islam. |
What is your point poster? |
@op may Allah reward you for the attempt. We however must not overlook somethings in the above: First off, there is no verbal intention for either ablution or any of the prayers, intentions are the heart. Saying intentions verbally is an innovation. Neither the Prophet (saw) nor the Sahabah made verbal intentions for salah or ablution. 2ndly, washing of the mouth goes together with the nose. The remnant of the water that is scooped to wash the mouth is used for the nose simultenously. Same thing goes for the wiping the head and ears. You scoop water, rub it over the head and use the same to rub the ears. Dropping water into the mouth and raising the hand is also an innovation. We can learn more about salah in the book Sifaatu salatun-Nabbiyy by Sheikh Al-Albani. Let us learn Islam properly and practise it in its pristine way. May Allah accept our acts of worship from us. |
uplawal:Asalam alaykum sister, how's everything. Hope you're enjoying marital life. ![]() |
I'm sorry if I sound a bit harsh, but you shouldn't expect anything better from this guy you talked about. Any so-called Muslim who can keep a lady that he's not married to in his house over the weekend in the name of courtship is not a good/practising muslim. Even an average muslim won't do that. Anyone can use phrases such as 'insha Allah' etc, even non-muslims use it so it's not a criterion to judge a muslim's seriousness or otherwise. You just be a muslim in the real sense of the word and you'll see that you'll meet with real muslims and have them as friends. |
asim 1:There are many ways you can be respectful to your parents and elders without going all the way down. Your respectful attitude towards them, your general countenance, care, humility and all that Islam teaches are enough to give. If you're humble in all ways and carefully explain why you wouldn't go all the way (that prostration is for Allah alone), I bet they'd understand and take you the way you are and even use you as a model for others. This is what I do and it's working for me, even amongst my in-laws. |
Good suggestions brother. Let more people come on so we can deliberate together. Though I doubt if I can come, you know cooking for family and all. Contributing money won't be a bad idea and we can even have it in one of our homes. May Allah preserve our lives till then and beyond and make the Ramadhan a 'barakaful' one for us. ![]() |
asalam alaykum, what about mukina and mustay? any news from them? |
Dad called me Abeke, I miss the name and the special way he called it. (he's late now). |
Try the ovulation calculator. |
@op Are some people so jobless and idle? ![]() |
Nonsense. Even a child knows that those people up there aren't muslims. What would unbelievers not do to slander Islam? But the joy of it is that truth will always stand no matter what. Little wonder, Islam keeps growing despite all the lies and slandering. I just pray for those writing these rubbish that they repent before death overtakes them. |
May Allah reward these women (and the like of them) abundantly and make this life easy for them, and above all, grant them al-jannah firdaus. |
The answer to your question is in Surah An-nur 24:31, Ahzab 33:59. if you're a xtian, you may want to see it from the biblical viewpoint. Check somewhere in 1cor. Can't remember the particaular place now. |
You're not far from the truth. But at times, the stepmum may be nice but the step son/daughter will be the difficult one. I've even seen a case where it's the husband that brings th trouble, always shouting at the wife whenever she corrects or scolds the children, always hiding behind curtains to see how his wife is relating with his ex-wife's kids etc |
Why are you talking about having intimacy with another person? Aren't you jumping the gun? You should mourn your spouse according to the dictates of your religion or culture. After the mourning period, when you find someone, get married again and then talk of intimacy. Right now, you sound like you already have a person waiting all the while and you can't wait to have intimacy with him. Watch it! People will say you and your boyfriend killed your husband o. You know Nigerians. |
My 2-year old has not started going to school. She can identify a dog, hen, got, sheep, snake etc. c'mon, there are pictures in books to nteach kids these things. i can't blame those kids for being dumb (that's if the story is true), I'll blame the parents for not teaching them. |
The man who wrote that is crazy. He should have included that if there's news that his mother was dying and needed his attention he should not be told. The match is even more important than his own kids. Nonsense! |
I picked a 217-page novel (academic) and finished reading it in less than 12hours. (yesterday). That's an achievement, isn't it? |
Has anyone read the comments posted at the site of the news? The sons of the woman are actually saying that what we read in the news is contrary to what happened in their home. One of them claims it's just an attempt to rubbish their family name. http://news2.onlinenigeria.com/headlines/28616-Industrialist-Dumps-Wife-Marries-Housemaid-Wife-Demands-N1B-Compensation.html |
@Lagosboy, Jazakallah khayran. Where have you been all these while? |
