justwise: You really don't get it, this thread is the fastest growing thread here in Travel Section, many members here have being great helping others with their inquiries and results comes in.

Last yr here an agent scammed more than 8 thousand Nigerians with Canadian visa issue, he has an office in Lagos, advertised the scam on radio and newspaper in Nigeria but still thousands were scammed.

What else will that Canadian agent do that people have not done here?

Please just don't go there, keep your dealings with him off-nairaland and good luck with that.
i heard and watched it on the news. No b that 1 wey people go gather 4 National Theater and waiting to check out? Lol... You need to hear the stories of some of those preys. You would pity them. Some borrowed money, some quit their jobs, some sold their property and so on and had nothing to fall back on after mishap.
But what people who scam others do not know is that they too will suffer.
Now imagine the number of curse that the scammer will receive from the somewhat 8k victims. O boy no pray make somebody naked swear for you o o o. I tell you, if it happens, whoever it's swore on may not live to see his own children and if he did, he may not see them reach to seem finish primary school sef. Bottom in that they don't live long. I have seen happen and I can give an account of 3 guys it happened to.

pleep: You cant trust any women... it doesn't matter what nationality they are its just their nature to be untrustworthy.

However, the problem i have with your post is the fact that you have to single out Nigerian women. I Never understood why black people have to only single out our own race, as if the grass is greener on the other side. Trust me its not, women are women it doesn't matter their race.
I have never been outside Naija. So, I can't speak of other race.

If the situation between your agent and somebody get bad what guarantee do have to tender in order for the person to get back his money? Stop that non-sense now!

And did I hear you say he is honest?

I raise a RED FLAG. House and whoever is reading this shouldn't dare it or contact this agent o oo. Whoever does so is only doing at his own detriment.

If your aim is to advertise an agent, I would advice that you ply your trade elsewhere. A lot of people have been fortunate enough to get their TRV without any agent and they did with the information that they got from here FREE!

alakare: I have had it several times you can create a and sell it online.
So how can i go through about thi biz and make money with it.
He means blogger.com kind of website which usually take the form of xyz..com

OP, whoever told you that lied to you and as a matter of fact, you don't own the right to it , so how can you sell what you dont have right over? Besides, it's only a subdomain and not a domain name like xyz.com or xtm.net you get it? You can sell the latter and the initial.

BusinessRe: How Rich Are All The People Using This Nairaland Business Forum? by 2sexy(m): 8:02am On Jul 22, 2012
greenhope: You become rich by selling products which Nairaland is against in other to get people to click on ads google is displaying on their site which they get paid and this ads from google is selling products.

There is nothing wrong with selling. If somebody takes out his time, spend money, consult anad package a product of value. I will pay for the value in other to increase in wisdom.

Abroad information marketer are respected as heroes but here in Naija they are called all sorts of things from people who will never read, apply and have patient to see the results of what they are practising.
Ogbeni, I beg make I hear word.
Abroad, information marketers are respected because they deserve it. Let me tell you, I been into internet marketing since 2007 and I must tell you I have seen alot but I was smart enough not to fall for their tricks more than twice. It was when I knew that most of them don't do what they sell.

Nigerian information marketers got what they asked for. What would you say about the guy(alparifx) who scammed members of this forum few weeks back. Last year, a guy I met here complained about being used to write articles without being paid. Infact, his articles brought alot of money for internet marketer who sold sites but he didnt pay this my friend. I had advice him but he didn't respond initially because he felt that I was one of those. After few months he contact me and we got on well. There was a website which I wanted to sell in article writing nici at that time and he copied some of my write up which he used for his and he got some orders and as God would have it, he placed his website on twitter and advervtised to his followers. A firm contacted him from there to write for them which he did out of passion but he didn't know that there is a job waiting for him. The firm, own by a briton, hired him thereafter. And it is located in Abuja where my friend stays.

It was on that basis that I made a thread to educate people on internet marketing in order to help people avoid such scam and the mods move that thread to the advertisement section.
BusinessRe: How Rich Are All The People Using This Nairaland Business Forum? by 2sexy(m): 7:23am On Jul 22, 2012
omotola1: 95% of people posting in this forum are here to sell ridiculous stuffs (e-book,packages e.t.c). Most of them base their facts on entirely false claims! Some claim they are rich using a captivating headline/caption, when you open the thread or web link, u‘ll discover it‘s just a piece of trash that is hidden in their threads/posts. My question is this: Do we really have rich people in this business forum? If YES, why are the people who claim they are rich here sell stuffs? I think i support the antispam ban!
Ogbeni... You don put sand sand for 4people garri o o o. Lmao. Them go hate you, man.

I quite agree with you though but I wouldn't say that the mods here are even making it easier. They allow people to post rubbish, they allow the anti spam bot to hide reasonable and useful post. How did I know? I made a post after a group of people were scammed here and stating that I would be educating members of this forum and do you know what happened? Someone with a brain and hands moved that thread to the advertisement section. So what do you expect to see here? How would you expect to see any better if a mod could move a more educative thread? Abegi... Infact, what is the essence of an antispam bot if there are moderators on here?

Let me tell you Omotola1, this forum has the capacity to transform lives if given necessary push, it has the ability to make people rich ,but its wont be any easy. It requires had work and 5-10 years down the road, you will changes.

But the sad part is that I don't see that ever happening here.

This place stinks like NIGERIA!

I rest my case.

Enoquin: Na real wa...never liked the guy but still...
for some reason I think this woman is not telling the whole truth... Does it mean that she does not know that Jim Iyke is nollywood actor? How could the same person say he has been in the street since age eleven and you would just believe him like that?

Again she seem so soft and vulnerable. Man, I would rather be soft on my dog than a fellow Nigerians like me. It was the same mistake a woman made that led to the lose of 648k...

BusinessRe: Your experiences with the UBA Naira Visa Africard by 2sexy(m): 11:25pm On Jul 20, 2012
zankey: Good morning Good people, I want to testify to this UBA Africard, after following this trend, I decided to give it a try so on Friday 13th July 2012, I went to one UBA branch close to my office almost opposite Road Safety Office Ojodu, I was given form and I presented my Driver Lisence with Nepa Bill, Unfortunately I forgot my passport photography at home, If not I would have went home with the card that same day.

So on the following Monday I presented my passport photography and ask to pay any amount in, I paid 1k and I was given my card few minutes after(though its unbranded).
I loaded 10k on it the following day and went to ATM and change my pin and latter login online and immediately ask too change my web login details and I did.

After that I went to my Google Adword and pay $10 out of my outstanding balance, it was accepted, to facebook it was accepted and finally my hosting company, www.ixwebhosting.com, I order for a domain name and it was able to pay for it successfully using this same UBA Africard.

Am so happy now I came across this trend. Thank You guys for the liberating information grin.
Awesome! That's the power information. It's one reason why I keep advocating for giving out information that will be helpful to the end-user instead of saying pay money into my account.

yeah thats right. I got to know about this last month from a guy here and he is currently doing his Msc at a Uni in US. The reason US accept HND is because we have the same grade point scale which 4.0. So, with you 3.0, you should find a school that suits you.

The truth is that online data entry does not exist a true business model on the web. People only gave it that name for their own purpose--to waste people's time. Stuff like online survey, paid to click, paid to read, paid to surf, high yield investment, paid to post are not a good model and in most cases, they are time waster.

I would suggest that you learn how to set up a website or if you know how to write, you should well start with that. But unfortunately, I can't take anyone on my back now because I have a project to write and submit within 2weeks from now. Well, hopefully within 3 weeks I should be done. My phone number and email are in my signature. So, keep in touch.

pufectskin: @Op, u have a great business up for sale but u r selling urself short by stating all the challenges and hardly stating any benefit to the potential buyer.
The fact that you don't keep inventory means less financial risk and dat should be a selling point yet u r presenting it as a problem here. If you really want these to sell, I ld say; repackage the offer by giving us reasons why this is a good opportunity; how profitable was/is it for you? On average, how many customers did you have per day?, etc. You ll get better responses this way (in my arrogant opinion).

Cheers
great advice . . . But how many Nigerians buy website? Op, you should have thought of doing this for the international market. Take a look at flippa.com
BusinessRe: Why Is It So Hard To Make Money Online? by 2sexy(m): 7:51am On Jul 18, 2012
clickgold: That is the mindset of so many Nigerians.

They think making money online is magic. Look at the word carefully 'Online Business'.
That is what it is, a business. For any business to thrive the business owner need a few
fundamental in place. When it come to doing business online, it is no different from our
brick and mortar business.

1. You must understand what you are doing. Most people do not know what they are suppose to
do online. They do not understand exactly what their business is all about. If you do not have
ready answer when people ask you what you do for a living, then you have not started.

2. They spend time surfing the web instead of focusing on their business. Checking your email
and Facebook do not constitute internet business unless it is bringing in money.

3. If you are not selling or building quality lists, sooner or later you will be come frustrated

4. Marketing and advertising should be a daily activity that you perform in your business.
If you are not making sales, or building a lists to market to...forget it you are not in business.

5. Internet marketing is not only about selling information product. Most people entered with this
mindset and get themselves burned. Online business is more than information marketers selling to
other information marketers.

6. Settle the peculiar Nigeria challenge. The most challenging aspect of making online as a Nigerian
is the issue of payment. How do you receive money from people who buy from you? do you risk verifying
Pay pal and losing your money if caught? Network can be damn slow days on end, what if you have a job
that you need to quickly finish and turn over? Then you have light wahala.

7. You need to believe in yourself. Forget the scorn of the people who do not understand what you are
about. I keep telling people, if yahoo yahoo boys can use the internet negatively to make money, what
about you who is going legit?

8. look for a success system that is producing result and pattern it. Online, success can come to you
in the twinkling of an eye, if you have a clear methodology and blueprint that you are following

9. Pray and believe in God

10. Sell both services and products. You have room to experiment, tweak and test until you have a line
of best fit, one that brings in money and not your hobby.

I sell web security solution online couple with cloud hosting/storage solutions. Now I am enjoying my choice
not to look for a job. It was worth the waiting.
Thanks for posting this. It's what I have been preaching on here and that making money online is not all about selling information or organising seminars.

It's so unfortunate to see what our Nigerian brothers have made of the name, well painted black. Have you met some people selling off a website that they started over 6months ago for just 10k-50k dollars? Have you seen people make crazy money from website design? It all depends on marketing. For instance, I will be making money from webdesign, the same webdesign that people are struggling at. It's all about marketing and branding.

If you don't know marketing, then forget about making money online or offline.

If I wish to start, I should separate myself from the crowd and do the direct opposite of what other people are doing.

FamilyRe: My Wife Spent 450k On Baby Shoes by 2sexy(m): 4:59pm On Jul 16, 2012
nexeee: Am so angry and disturbed...we welcomed a bouncing baby boy last month...i could not travel to be by my wife's side because of some unforeseen issues..so i held fort here in nigeria...my wife decided to send the excess luggage's in bits and i went to pick some of them yesterday..

i picked a total of 6 big suitcases yesterday..on getting home..i decided to open the suitcases and to my chagrin i saw 2 big suitcases filled with just baby footwear...foot wears with price tags ranging from 70dollars to 300dollars..infact the total money she spent on clothes, toys and shoes she bought for the baby is in the range of 1-2m..i was livid with anger..how can someone spend that kind of money on a baby?? shoes that the child will outgrow in a few years time...the first time i wore a 15k shoe was during my NYSC...i am just maad that my wife is not frugal with money..things are not as rosy as it seems..i called her to complain and all she could say was that she is spending the money on her son...it is even heartbreaking that she sees nothing wrong in spending such moni on a baby..

i honestly do not want to bring up my child in such manner...a child needs to know that things are hard..and am just patiently waiting for her to come back..this nonsense just have to stop.
how you married her is the result of this but if you are a man and you rule the house, lay your rules now or regret it later.
