I went to a Catholic school in Lagos, and some of my classmates back then were Muslims, I am talking of those rich Awori Muslims. Guess what? We attended Mass service together, twice every week.

During Sallah, we go to their houses to eat Sallah meat. We were one United Family. Never at any point in time did religious tension arise throughout my six years in high school.

Its only in the South West that you will have Alhaji as a Father, Deaconess as a mother, and Alhaji will drop his family in church on Sundays.

Only in South West Nigeria, have I seen Muslim families asking a pastor to come pray for them.

South Western muslims will even tell Christians going to church on Sunday, "pray for me too ooo"

South Western muslims are enlightened and educated. They don't give room for religious idiocy and fanatism.

South West muslims will come to your house and finish your Christmas food.

South West Christians will even attend the naming ceremony of a Muslim child, they will even play with Alfa, and eat enough food.

South West Christians will even buy Sallah ram for some mosques.

Do you know that South Westerners will have a Muslim landlord, Christian tenants, and they will live together for 10 years without ever having religious conflicts

If they are trying to break South West with religion, they have failed already. No SW muslim will ever take to terrorism and fanatism. This Sharia is dead and buried. Not going to work in the SW.

When I get to work today, I show some of my colleagues this topic of which some are Muslims and others Christians, u known what happened? Some them just bust to laugh while others just smiled, one of the Muslim among them said "Kole work" meaning it can never work, did u known why? Out all the Muslims in my department ( About 10 of us) it is only two of us that do not take alcohol and do not womanise, pls tell me how will this set of people support sharia laws? And this is kind of life most SW Muslims leave

Secondly, (this one is personal, I lost my dad very early in life and my mum got sick along the way) I was raise from my teenage age to my adult hood till I finished my higher institution by my aunty who all her family are Christians, she and her children was there for me both financially and emotionally. She carry 90% of my financial responsibilities from my teen age till I left her house, even the first house rent, she still made part of the payment even do I am working. she is even one the reason I am still practicing islam today if not probably I may not be there or here. And I also have one uncle who has formally contested for ogun state governor b4, who is a Muslim, when I want to do my final year project in school, I went to him for assistance, did u know how much he gave me? 1k, this is for mechanical engineering student project ooo, and this was the 1st and last time I went to his house. so what I am trying to push, is it's not religion affiliate that make somebody be Ur real brother, Christians or traditional worshippers can be Ur real brothers. Many states in the SW has a silent Islamic majority who keep quiet due to marginalization. However, they have recently found their voice and are speaking out and speaking up.

Sharia is not something imposed on other faiths, Sharia is merely our collective culture as those who submit to the will of Allah. People wrongly fear it due to propaganda, but living under Sharia actually brings peace and sanity to a given area where implemented.

We should be very careful in our spoken statements as the tongue has the power to build and to destroy. Islam came into the SW from Mali 238 years before Christianity even reached the shores of Nigeria, from outsiders at that.

Islam is as traditional to the SW as it is to the North. However, the Muslims in the south, particularly in the SW are oppressed even though in certain states in the SW they are the majority. This is a fact, as such, there is nothing wrong with Muslims demanding that their traditional legal system be put in place.

The current legal system handed down through British common-law derives from the Bible. What is wrong with demanding a legal code based and rooted in African belief and culture of a vast majority in the SW?

Firstly, Islam is not traditional to sw, it is one of those imported religion into sw just like Christianity.

Thirdly, I am from state that have either 50/50 or 55/45 Muslims/Christians but we neither demand nor want this your so called Sharia in our state, one of reason is some one of Ur like, every where this is being practiced in Nigeria their citizens behaves and act like animals and barbaric in nature

Fourthly: we are practicing democracy government in Nigeria in simple "term free choice" check it from Bible from page 1 to end u will not see it there but in Quran you will find something like this, so be guided we are not practicing biblical coin constitution in Nigeria, we practice people constitution.

And lastly, as a Muslim in sw nobody! I Say it again, nobody has never oppressed me or my family members or those Muslims around me as far as I known base on our religion affiliate neither we have to other people base on their religion believe.
