PoliticsRe: APC's Uba Sani Wins Kaduna Governorship Election by adanny01(m): 11:39pm On Mar 20, 2023
I am so disappointed that a professor will even consider doing this to Kaduna no matter what was at stake (seems he was under duress).

The electoral law is very clear and this election should have been inconclusive.

I have never cared which party won an election but this almost brought tears to my eyes. To even think a Professor did this means I have lost respect to the cult.

The man even said "this is not a court", meaning he has been convinced that his reputation is not at stake in court and there can't be criminal charges on him. He knows what he did but did it anyways.

With the way APC is clearing sits, we may end up with a one party state. They form a glaring majority. Does this reflect Nigerians voting despite all the trouble and hardship under APC government, or do we believe it's rigging at play?
Since when Buhari won his 2nd election, I have been telling those who care to listen that our election has achieved maturity, that massive rigging is a thing of the past. Every body I know who hates APC doesn't believe elections have been free or fair since 2015 and it's obvious why they think so.

Pockets off violence is the only thing they can do to make the elections look bad.
PoliticsRe: Mark Essien Had Finally Released The Results Of His IREV-Results Collation by adanny01(m): 8:09pm On Mar 15, 2023
helinues:
Bro, both Pdp and LP did not have standard tallying centre to collate all the results for the presidential election. They relied mostly on what would be displayed on Irev. When LP did not even have thousands of agents across the polling units.

None of them have been able to come out with their final number, all they have just been claiming is they won.

You see the results on Irev, downloading it one by one considering how big Nigeria is, to get the accurate results when collating, it will take nothing less than a month.

Like you see those Obi's supporters in particular, those people just like to dey deceive themselves
All the know is to criticize. Most of the result is on IREV, it's over 2 weeks, they should have collated the results by now but they keep blaming INEC as if it is easy for Mahmood Yakubu to be the collation officer for 774 LGAs or be at every PU to upload result by himself.

I tire for obidients walahi.

This Obi will not let us drink water and drop cup in peace, what is so hard in moving on? I wonder what would have become of Nigeria if he had come second? Seriously he’s disturbing the peace of this country .
I totally agree. He is acting as if he is trying to insite post election violence.

Court granted him access to sensitive election materials when INEC is busy with another major election that they need to focus.

The man is acting like INEC should just drop everything they are doing to serve him and only him.

God1000:
Too bad

Seeing Igbos and Yorubas fighting each other makes me sick, there's division everywhere in Nigeria today, even among minorities

Tribalism is a big problem in Nigeria, we still have a long way to go, nigerians still vote along ethnic and religious lines

This is why I like Rwanda

I thank God for giving me a good heart not to hate anyone, forget my political affiliation
Unfortunately, Obi rode on the back of Igbo's to run for president. His failure only brings them backlash that people like me anticipated. The hatred will only get worst if Igbo's do not rethink their political strategy.

Secondly, Obi should stop the media trial and focus on the court case. What ever he says could only inspire more hate for Igbo's.

No matter how bad Buhari was, the insults only attracts sympathy from his kinsmen.

What I wonder is, after 9 opinion polls said that LP is winning the presidential election, why did Nigerians bother to even vote. CJN should have sworn in Obi and INEC didn't have to waste public resources.

I would not have traveled home to vote at my PU. My child whose school closed for over 2 weeks now would have learnt a lot in the period.

Hell, I know a local government campaign DG who died on election date probably out of exhaustion. He would have been alive if we just adopted the results of the 9 online polls that said Obi will win.

My wife told me this morning she missed her period after I told her we will not add a 4th child, If Obi was sworn in after that 9 opinion polls, I will not be in this mess.

Can I continue?....
PoliticsRe: Court Grants INEC Permission To Reconfigure BVAS by adanny01(m): 9:03pm On Mar 08, 2023
Crimecity:
So why are you souding like they lost?

Lmao.

INEC said they need 5 days to reconfigure.

Can you now see that won't work?

LP will hold the BVAs Machines till they are done. So you're free to cry.
Do you even have an idea where the BVAS are located? Fact they are at INEC offices for the 774 local governments of Nigeria. The is no way LP can have them. They were allowed by the court to inspect all of them in their current locations.

How can LP hold the BVAS that will never leave INEC offices? The only way BVAS leaves INEC office is when they are deployed for elections.

Use common sense please.

If INEC wants to tamper with BVAS they had 10 days since presidential elections to do it without reconfiguration.

The supreme court which can be bought by any highest bidder cannot oversee the CBN monetary policy.

What we expect the supreme court governors to do is put pressure on the central bank to make available more cash of the new notes in the systems and help sensitize the citizenry on the cashless policy if they are sincere because it is a good one.

Who are those still having the old notes? Looters
Shame on the judges
Imagine what the supreme court has done. Even ruling against 20k withdrawal limit is like saying any limit is illegal.

I think, Buhari needs to ask the Supreme court to just bring out their full monetary policy.

Imagine the same Rivers State I voted and 98% of the voters in my polling unit also voted LP same thing goes to almost all the ward, now APC is winning. Honestly I don't know who we offended in this country.
Please, what's the result of your PU. Secondly, please focus on your PU results and try not to recreate you PU results in other PUs even if a friend says we all voted this party.

It pains me that people assume other people voted in the same line of thought with them without confirmation and this kind of thing breeds violence and sorrow.

As for me, I can't be used to propagate violence by pedaling unsubstantiated information.

See fake Tai results where the number of accredited is more than the number of PVC collected.
The problem with online REC officers is the misconceptions.

The OP says Tai and Opobo Nkoror LGAs (2 LGAs) where Tinubu leads with 18568 but you call it false and quoted only Tai LGA with Tinubu 9442.

What makes this result fake for goodness sake?

Why are u trying to create trouble? Do you know the number of people that will swallow your comment whole line and sinker and use it to propagate election violence.

If anyone dies from post election violence in Rivers or even the entire country, count yourself responsible.

Let's learn to abstain from opinions that are not facts.

You asked about those who are educated but are not aligned to Obi and I responded that these people are in the minority; i.e. amongst the educated folks, the majority support OBI but the minority are not for OBI.

What exactly is difficult to understand in the above response? What exactly is the point you tried to make by saying "opposite of education is not minority"? Is that what you understood from my response?
I believe you understand my point but you have been running circles around it.

How did you arrive at these extreme conclusions from what I wrote? So if I say "the majority of people in rural areas are uneducated", how on Earth did you interprete that to mean "everybody in rural areas, including the retired prof, are illiterates"? ...Obviously, not every one who is educated wants OBI and not every illiterate wants APC/PDP; I dont want to believe my English grammar was really that complex and misleading.

The point I made was simply - the majority of people on social media are educated (True or False?), and this largely includes the majority of people who get to vote in all these online polls (that is not to say there arent educated people who don't use social media). With OBI always winning every single online poll with a brutally wide margin, it indicates something; that OBI is the most popular candidate amongst educated Nigerians. Again, that is not to say there arent educated people who want the other candidates.
My original comment had to do with outcomes of online polls Vs the real election.

You wrote this
OBI is clearly the choice of educated Nigerians, and if only educated Nigerians were allowed to vote, OBI will win with a brutal margin.
What does this mean really? Looks like Obi is associated with educated Nigerians as you say. It's is also safe to say Educated people are aligned to Obi. What about those who are educated but are not aligned to Obi? What are they?

If a presidential candidate wins the majority of the votes but doesn't have 25% in 24 states, and his closest rival has 25% in 24 states but doesn't win the majority of the votes, what happens?
That's a runoff.

There's no winner.

Another date is set for all polling units that couldn't vote or votes were cancelled in the first round. The runoff can be repeated until one of the 2 satisfies the criteria for a win.

Nairaland (and social media in general) is full of young and educated Nigerians. Results of these polls indicate one thing - OBI is clearly the choice of educated Nigerians, and if only educated Nigerians were allowed to vote, OBI will win with a brutal margin.

Unfortunately, elections are for everyone, and the uneducated and unenlightened rural dwellers mostly have never heard of OBI... and these are the people the APC and PDP are hoping on 100% to win the coming election.

This 2023 presidential election is a contest between the EDUCATED vs. ILLITERATES
What are you trying to say?

Is a retired professor who has relocated to his village and has no internet connection an illiterate?

In your own sense, every Nigerian who is educated must vote Obi and the illiterates vote for Atuku, Tinubu, Kwankwaso etc? How did you get that logic and where did you place yourself?

Are you saying those Tinubu supporters who are educated are actually illiterates?

If Nigerians are celebrating the supreme court decision, I am very convinced Nigeria will never be better because those who should understand that this policy is for the Nigerian good are blind and blindly following politicians to our own slaughter house.

I can only blame CBN and Buhari for shifting the 31st date in the first place. They have successfully punished Nigerians with no reward for the suffering we went and still are going through.

Same thing with subsidy removal attempts.

Both are same. Love making was coined to give appealing name. Though some ll say lovemaking is in marriage but sex is out of marriage.
They are basically the same thing.

However, this can be differentiated mostly for men.

Sex is simply the act of intercourse while lovemaking is sex attached with emotions and incorporates pre-intimacy and all other activities that derives best pleasure for the couple which are emotionally involved.

Car TalkRe: As An Experienced Driver, When Slowing Down, Is It Clutch Or Break? by adanny01(m): 7:12am On Dec 14, 2022
Omihanifa:
It's clutch first before the break. If you match the break without first engaging the clutch the car will jerk and stop
It's break before clutch.

You clutch when your rpm drops to 600-1000rpm (depending on the current gear) and when you clutch, it is to remove or change the gear and release the clutch. Never hold the clutch down. It's also bad to allow a car to roll freely without gear. The engaged gear helps in deceleration.
