BillGoldberg: [b] Now, South East I believe has 2 APC Senators! South South has more than 3! The problem with that region is that you lack wisdom politically. Are you aware that senate rules says to qualify for senate president, you have to be a returning senator. A first term senator cannot be senate president. Now tell me, how many are qualified from the SS and SE. Or how influential they are in the party or their regions. |

How can that region be dumb enough to repeat the 2015 mistake in 2019. The lack of political wisdom will continue to rob that region their right. Akpabio deserves the Senate president but Akwaibomites dont deserve it, hence they will not have it. |

My story.
Just secondary after school waiting for admission, there was this sweet girl living with a family in the same quarters. We were good friends until i developed feelings for her. I had very little courage but mustered it to approach her. After jisting one night, she was walking me down the street, i began my pre-planned moves trying to be more than friends. The girl cut me short with a wave of hand to my face saying, "hold it there, are you toasting me. You are disrespecting me. We are age mates and i cant go out with you. I date only people who are older and matured not boys like you." She said a couple of things that stoned me. I said sorry, tried to do damage control and later bade her goodnight.
I never spoke to her about it again even though we remained very close friends. Infact our friendship grew stronger after i made that attempt. I was shocked one day she gave me water in her house with all the respectful gestures she would her own father. I was shocked or confused to see her change of behaviour. I swore i wasnt gonna attempt again so i wont be humiliated.
To cut the long story short, i later asked another girl out and she agreed same day (my wife today). The other girl wasnt happy with me and our friendship suffered. About 10 years later, we met, she told me how she just played hard to get and i abandoned her. That she was so in love with me but i misread the signs. I just told her it was destiny. |

How many manual transmission vehicles are still out there (other than danfos)? Chairman, do you know the number of 2008-2015 Toyota Hilux and Corolla that are using manual transmission. Almost all fleet vehicles are manual transmission be it government or private. These cars end up in private hands. Taxis are manual too. I am typing this reply in a manual car. victorD3: The 15k was for a direct Belgium.
2) the reason I changed it was that both side started making screeching sound (the normal sound shaft make when it fails)ie when you wheel the car towards left or right
3) I got a direct belgium driver and pasenger side shafts the pasenger side pulled on my way home and the shaft was cut and extended but that leg started vibrating when I'm driving
4) Got a new shaft for the pasenger side which worked just fine but within 10months but pulled from the cup (not the gear box) and my Mech fixed it by just recoupling it and putting it back inside
5) shaft pulled again after 2 months and thesame fixing was carried out
6) pulled again after 3 weeks and the tripod inside the cup damaged a bearing. I went for another direct Belgium shaft that also pulled immediately
7) My Mech found out all my engine mount (seating) are gone which I changed including the hear box seating
On putting the shaft again and coupling of everything except tyres I realised if I wheel the car completelyto the pasenger passenger side i feel one of the three bearing porp out from the cup. I can feel it with my hands through the rubber boot.
QUESTIONS
1) is one bearing suppose to porp out? Because im scared of test driving the car so something wont spoil anything if it pulls again.
2) my car have never experienced any serious accident apart from the pasenger side droping into a small ditch once
3) Is it my camber? It doesn't look faulty and my rubbers are not that bad.
4) Is there anything like a long or short cup for the extension ( pasenger) side? Thinking I may just purchase I shaft that has a long cup.
Please i really need help with my 2008 Accord (4cl)
cry cry cry cry cry Pls change your mechanic. Note, its ur driving shaft that has been pulling out not your ball joint. Only a dumb mechanic will keep working on driving shaft when engine mounts are bad. Driving shaft pulls out on 2 major conditions. Wrong shaft or bad engine mounts. |

Avedonn: Any synthetic 5w-20 but Mobile preferable
Change the oil after 3000 miles. That'll waste some money and destroy the environment if mobil 1 synthetic oil is relaced at 3000miles. Disposal of engine oil in Nigeria causes pollution, I hope you know that. Too frequent oil change is also aiding pollution. Most Hondas recommended 10,000miles/1year normal use or 5000miles/6months severe use for fully synthetic oil on a 4cylinder with filter at 10,000miles/1year For V6 7500miles/1year normal or 3750/6months severe use. Severe use is in driving in freezing or very hot weather, towing/overloading, taxi or long driving hrs and lastly, excessive idling with AC like in holdups. |

kopell: Power waste by longer piping and distance between evaporators and compressor. I disagree with this comment in regards to AC capacity, technology as taking care of that. Chillers are mostly used in heavy demand cooling in most commercial buildings, the can push as much far distance as needed. Why is the discharge pipe of ACs insulated? Why is the chiller duct always insulated? |

desiji: That is not true with the new gas system which is more enviroment friendly and it density is also very light (R32) you hardly need a big HP and distance dosen't play a big role till 60metres and height till about 10metres Type of gas is a whole new dimension. Assuming you have same brand technology of compressor and refrigerant, longer piping means more volume, more volume means more refrigerant more refrigerant means more power to deliver the same pressure of gas to the evaporator. Yes, the refrigerant type does matter, in most cases you cant simply change your refrigerant so the refrigerant issue is not the issue here. Assuming its 1kw, a compressor at a distance of 20m cannot possibly deliver that 1kw exactly as it would 1m away from the evaporator. |
Properties › Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by adanny01(m): 11:24am On Feb 21, 2019 |
topsy23: Good explanation, but these days we have multi split unit system that can cater for a bedroom flat i.e one outdoor to 3 to for indoor rather than having outdoor for each indoor. Most of the commercial buildings and some residential building inside Banana island are using VRF system. They have low power consumption that's the advantage.
See how this house is flooded with outdoor By my estimation a 3 bedroom flat would require 1hp per room plus dining and a 2 hp for the living room. This brings the total to 6hp in comparison to the same powered central cooling. Before i continue, it is a fact that a window AC unit is more efficient to a split AC system. Reasons being that power waste by longer piping and distance between evaporator and compressor. These leads to losses in cooling capacity and pumping capacity. Longer piping also leads to increased costs. The same effect is multiplied in the central AC where the refrigerant pipes are far longer leading to greater loss of efficiency. This does not even account for more insulation, more electrical connections/control gadgets and more installation cost. In other words, a 6hp window unit required by a 3 bedroom may be equivalent to 8hp slit ac and equivalent to 10hp central ac. Secondly, all costs are increased while more cooling capacity is required leading to more cost. The VRF is a technology which means more cost too. In the end, when you talk about cost, central ac is quite expensive. |

Badgers14: Quick question :
Is there any reason why New homeowners are not embracing installing central air condition in their houses?
Lots of times, we see a fine duplex with air condition boxes littered all over the walls.
Is there any structural/architectural argument as why homeowners shouldn't embrace using central air in their homes? To expatiate what diordaves said, imagine powering a 20HP central AC connected to all rooms when only one person is at the home. It will waste energy. Besides, only a room needs the cooling but the power required is higher if you install a 1 or 2 hp ac single unit per room. It is clumsy but more efficient. |

GE9JA: GE9JA
The Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, has accused the All Progressives Congress, APC, of being in total control of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
It also claimed that Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai and Amina Zakari are in charge of the Information and Communication Technology, ICT, of the electoral body.
National chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, made this claim on Tuesday during PDP’s emergency National Executive Council, NEC, meeting in Abuja.
He was reacting to the allegation by the APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, on Monday that INEC informed the PDP before postponing the presidential and National Assembly elections earlier scheduled to hold on February 16.
He said, “Since last Saturday they have been talking and making claims, they even accused INEC of telling us before postponing the election. All they have been saying is they are not aware, they don’t know but I dare to say that the government is in totally in control of INEC.
“This government appointed one of the vendors who is from the Villa and the other is from Niger State and they are members of APC.
“The ICT of INEC is totally controlled by El-Rufai and Amina Zakari, so I don’t see how they will turn around overnight. But maybe it’s part of their plans to win, but Nigerians know the facts. This government is in control of INEC.”
Speaking at the event, Senate President and Director PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Bukola Saraki, stated, that Nigerians accepted the opposition party because they have become tired of “unemployment and poverty”.
“Nigerians are tired of insecurity, unemployment and poverty. Nobody wants to be insecure, unemployed or poor. This is why our message has resonated across the country.”
He then called on Nigerians to come out to vote during the rescheduled elections on Saturday, saying “We have four more days to go. I want to appeal to Nigerians, do not let them frustrate you. When there is a low turnout, they can rig, but if you come out to vote, they cannot.
“When you come out to vote on Saturday, do you want a Nigeria that that adheres to the rule of law, or do you want a Nigeria that is governed by jungle justice?
“On Saturday, when you come out to vote, vote for Nigeria.”
