Car Talk › Re: How Reliable Are Mazda Cars.... by adanny01(m): 8:02pm On Feb 15, 2019
My parents have a Mazda 323f.

Let me describe it; its our pickup truck, our 4x4, our broke car. We used it like a donkey, during building, it was carrying cement, wood, tiles and every building material we needed. During farming, we took fertilizer, farm workers, harvest (maize, rice, beans, ginger, yams) to and fro going several trips a day. Upon all that abuse, it is hardly ever out of service, so when the Toyotas and the Hondas are out of service, this one keeps going.

Our mechanical replacement parts are; rear shocks, outer cvt joint and brake pads. Parts are hard to find outside Abuja. We had a bad toks purchase experience that left the car with permanent mechanical issues which left it kazeemed for life. Even with that we had a strong car. We rebuilt engine twice, the first was a shody job but the second was great.

My generalized view is that its a strong car with strong suspension parts. The cons are; ECM/immobilizer (when it happens, its a knock out punch), shocks, auto tranny (1998-2002). It is underpowered in most cases. I prefer the 323 or the mazda 3.

My friend drives a 2002 626 Automatic. It is smooth, quiet but underpowered.

I had a female roommate in Lautech for 2 years. It wasn't intentional. Her parents are my family friends. So, she landed in my place the first time she came to Lautech, hoping to help her find accommodation. She rejected all apartments I found. It dawned on me she was already having feelings for me. But as a pastor guy I was in school, I had no slightest feeling for her. She tempted me for 2 years until I finally graduated. We didn't kiss for once, not to talk of fvkin.

Once I left for nysc, she made me her enemy and broke all connections with despite inheriting everything in my room.
I get you with this.

This happened to me during secondary school. I was a senior and had this junior school mate and neighbor who's parents were both drunks (since divorced).

I spent most nights in their house till around 2-3am that their parents return. This girl almost raped me if she had the strength to put me down. Infact, she and their 2 yr older househelp both tried to pin me down but i resisted.

My sweet friendship with this girl turned to hate thereafter especially after f.cking my friend. We are both married now but we were never friends again. When we see now, its just hi.
Politics › Re: Number Of Pvcs Exceeds Total Registered Voters In Oyo. INEC Explains by adanny01(m): 8:09am On Feb 15, 2019

Wen U apply for transfer, Ur PVC and ur name is removed from d ward where U are registered and sent to ur new location dat is why it is called transfer of PVC and voter register
Was it d dead man dat informed INEC of his death? INEC is assuming some of d registered voters are dead which is natural cos ppl die everyday but INEC in no way removes names except of such dead ppl jus like dat. If INEC took d pain to remove his name from d register why didn't dey also remove and destroy his PVC?
So you think its one man that is INEC. Just because one voter has been removed from the register because he is reported to be dead, his PVC which might have been sent for product which is a third party contract will just stop immediately. Or if already produced, INEC will follow it and destroy it.

You didn't even think of those who are not dead but transfered. If the transfered voter pvc arrived his former destination, what tells you about PVC production.

When you transfer, your old pvc which carries your old polling unit number cannot be used in the new polling unit and therefore useless to send it there.

Nbote:
Which kind explanation b dis?? If some of d ppl are dead and others transferred how exactly is d number of PVCs still more than d number of registered voters? It is actually supposed to b d other way around becos d dead names would still b in their register while those who applied for transfer would have both their PVCs transferred and names removed.. There is still no way d number of PVCs should exceed d number of registered voters... Every PVC is supposed to appear on their register so INEC shld tell Nigerians how dey have PVCs dat aren't on their register. Dis excuses is dumb and daft
When you are transfered, you cease to be a registered voter in the state but you PVC shows up there. In that case your PVC can be in Oyo but you are not registered there.

Will a dead man remain in the registered?

There is a reason why it's called air/fuel ratio sensor

This doesn't make complete sense. It can mean B1S1 or B2S1 or B1S2 or B2S2. He didn't state the sensor.

However, only B1S1 or B2S1 can affect fuel consumption that much. Like you rightly said, air/fuel sensor which is sensor 1.

good day sir, you asked me the other day to scan my 2003 EOD and post the result based on my fuel consumption problem. The result can as O2 sensor heater circuit bank1 and bank 2 malfunction. Could that be the cause of high consumption. The guy I consulted with said it might not be.i also asked if it could be the indomie he said it had nothing to do with combustion since its after the engine. He then asked me to go and fill my tank and take note of my odometer.

Any advice?
So you have a V6 engine.

You cant have a 2.4ivtec and have bank 1 and bank 2 in the same car.

Only V6 has bank 1 and 2.

Unless you mean to say bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 1 sensor 2.

2.4ivtec has no bank 2.
Car Talk › Re: My Experience With A Bump At 140km/hr by adanny01(m):
rainmaker12:
Key words from what you said are

Performance vs reliability
Value vs value

Now the topic I commented was on performance and safety.

I paid 100m for a German car and it gives me performance and 'extra' safety features.

I paid 1m for a Japanese car and it gives me economy and durability.

Then a discussion about extra safety and performance comes up, which car gets the crown?

Another discussion about durability and economy comes up, which car gets the crown?

90% of the public knows German cars are not reliable. No dispute.

But now we talking about performance and safety.

100m German car made for performance is still better than 100m Japanese car made for performance also.

100m German car made for economy is going to be better than 100m Japanese car made for economy.

Since its about performance and reliability, both cars are king in their category. But if they swap, German will take all the glory.

Do you know why German cars are not reliable? Its not because they have inferior motor parts. Infact all the parts used on German cars are so solid compared to Japanese, I'm talking out of experience. The unreliability of German cars comes from the performance and luxury they offer because there's an extra 'mechanics' and 'sensor' into every part which assist the driver to attain that performance and luxury. From time to time these extra mechanics and sensor go bad often thereby ruining the general part. Its not like they have bad parts. Metal for metal, plastic for plastic, take out that extra, they are the best! And it is that extra you are paying for.

Take out any German car part....''without any extra''...that is simple and compare it with a similar Japanese car part, you will see the difference in build quality.

For now Germans are the best for perfomance and luxury, while Japanese are best for economy and durability. Monetary comparison is futile because you get what you pay for. Extra or no extra.

But overall based on build quality, go and ask a mechanic which is best.
You didn't get my point.

My point is that, that basis of comparison is flawed.

Comparing Buhari to Atiku on the basis of how both will rule is also flawed but Buhari vs Jonathan isnt flawed. The basis of comparison where Buhari is a factor has to start with someone who has been a president. That's cause Buhari as well as Jonathan have been president of Nigeria while Atiku has not been.

The basis for comparison of Mama put rice and drumstick's rice is that they are both food made ready to eat. You now start comparing hygiene, taste, price, quantity etc

What is the of basis of comparing German car vs Japanese car? You have to find a common ground. Performance is not a common ground neither is reliability. A common ground can be their price.

Watching top gear episode some days ago, a Lexus LC500 was compared to Honda Civic Type R. What was the basis, both are sport cars.

I ask again, what is the basis of comparison between german cars and Japanese cars in general. If you say performance, you will start mentioning stability, acceleration, horse power etc but relaibility will not come it since performance is the basis. If you talk about reliability, we talk about parts, cost, maintenance etc.

If you say value, you can say performance, relaibility, design, safety etc

Please I found out people now don't floor all the foundation during DPC, the only cover the blocks area only. What is the difference between the two.
It may cost less this way.

Let me explain.

You either do it this way, or do the "german floor" type.

German floor entails casting the entire building foundation. However, if you cast the entire foundation, at finishing stage, especially tilling, you will require screeding before placing the tiles.

In the picture you shared. The cost that you would have spend casting plus screeding can be economised to a thick screeding that would serve as both german floor nd screeding while you tile at the same time.

This means you save your entire german floor cost for screeding which even cost less and can be lumped with tiling labour charges.

The major pros of german floor is its monolithic nature. Secondly, it will prevent dampeness better than pure screed.

Save this post and quote me after the elections if you are in doubt.
They say assumption is the mother of all f.ckups.

If 50,000 people gather in a stadium to campaign for Atikunin a state like Bauchi with close to 2million voters, what fraction of 2million is 50,000 that you assume the whole state is for Atiku.

Why cant you do your campaign and leave the elections to voters. The 50,000 in the stadium, i bet you not more than half will vote.

This trend of my crowd this, my crowd that has to stop. Its a breeder for after elections violence. After you so convince yourself that Atiku will win, if he loses, how can you accept it with the mindset you have taken.

Am also afraid because Atiku himself has that mindset that he has already won based on the crowd witnessed at his campaigns. The Nigerian elections i know, that is not enough reason to conclude. This mindset will do more harm than good.

Not by climbing pole, when Atiku goes there people will still climb that pole even more. Buhari can't win in Adamawa. You can't love someone's son more than yours unless a foolish parent. Charity begins at home.
Atiku's campaign strives on propaganda.

Propaganda is information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view.

Atiku has mapped all his losing states and goes there after Buhari. He only goes to his strong hold before Buhari.

Secondly, the recent trend of showing pictures of campaign like it has a direct relationship to the main election is a fraud in the making. It cannot change the election outcome but give false hope and when the loser eventually emerges, he wont accept it based on the false campaign turnout he had.

Am really disappointed at PDP for towing this line, it breeds contempt and trouble for after elections. It obvious, PDP will not accept defeat this time if it happens.

He has resorted to pillar to post approach to get sympathy. I pity all the fools that protested for this man.

By this petition, he wants to tell us that he has another source of funds which should explain the pounds and dollars in his account. Secondly, we as Nigerians should have empathy on him because he is just being a Fulani victim, from Aso villa to his farm in Nassarawa state.

The 2023 Igbo Presidency will be determined by 16th Feb (less than 2 weeks time). You will know who is wise then.

It is devils alternatives for the Igbo. If you vote for Atiku and (God forbid) Atiku wins, there is no vacancy in 2023. If you still vote for Atiku and PMB wins, the South West and APC will not support Igbo Presidency in 2023.

Take this as the gospel truth, without the support of the South West, an Igbo man cannot win the Presidency - you simply don't have the numbers and you will not stop fighting yourselves (divided votes).

As unpalatable as it may sound to you, a good forward thinking political judgement will be for the Igbos to support PMB. But the Igbos are not forward thinking, they only think in the contest of "Immediacy". They are not politically flexible so they will carry on with the pain of PMB defeating GEJ (their anointed candidate) in 2015 by voting against PMB again and in 2023 nothing will change - Presidency will change hand from the North to the South West.

If you don't change your ways and actions, how do you expect a change of results (outcomes)? It is an "Impossicant" as we say in the "Kegite Society"

I am sure I will receive a lot abuses and insults for my submission, but it is the gospel truth, and it is what will happen. You can keep the write and we talk about it in 2023.

As a matter of fact, I wrote a similar write-up before the 2015 election that the Igbos were putting "all their eggs in one basket" and they will suffer badly if GEJ fail to win the election. I was abused and insulted, but we all know what happened after the 2015 election. Yet the Igbos have the audacity to complain of marginalization. How do you expect to reap where you did not sow?

The era of political savvy politicians like Zik (The Ewelle himself) and Chuba Okadigbo (the man of Timber and Calibre) are gone. Show me a rallying figure amongst the Igbo politicians that the South West support. They are just minor political loafers. Obi that would have been acceptable to the Elites of the West in 2023 has now committed political suicide by selling to Atiku. It is just unfortunate.

Anyway, 16th Feb is round the corner. As we say in Yoruba Land, "Gbangba a de'kun, kedere a be wo". Pidgin transalation - "Fowl yansh go open" for all to see.
No mind Igbos, they keep failing politics 101.

I have been saying same thing since 2015. In fact, my Igbo president projection is 2039 if at all they wake up.

Unhealthy:
I had to open this new moniker so that I can share my problems without any shame

I developed the staphylococcus infection last year through toilet I life has been so terrible for me.

I have been battling with constant headache, fatigue and shortness of breath, and a worm like movement in my body for a long time. Sometimes I feel numbness on the part of my body and it's really affecting me. My boss has been complaining about my incompetence at work and it's possible I lose my job if things continue this way

I've gone to several hospitals and spend a lot of money to conduct series of test after which blood culture revealed I have a heavy growth of Staphylococcus Aureus.

I took the result to a doctor and he prescribed Pefloaxin for me and I also took five injection to flush this bacteria and it seemed like I was getting out of the bond of this bacteria until the symptoms returned back few weeks later.

I decided to resort to Nairaland because most of the doctors I've gone to are incompetent, and I don't want to take too much antibiotics so that my body will not become resistant to it.. The way this staph is affecting me is becoming unbearable. I can't sleep or breath well

Someone suggested I go to general hospital since they seem to be more experienced but all na the same. They are always too much in a hurry to attend to patients and prescribe drugs.

Please if you have treated this stubborn infection before, how did you manage to cure it completely? Did you use drugs or herbs?

I know many carriers of this bacteria normally get scammed by online advertisers and I know they will flood this thread with their fake herbal drugs. Please I need you to come to my aid and don't look for a way to swindle money from me with ineffective drugs

Here is the result of my test.

Please help me move this to the FP for a wider audience
My suggestion is that, use the internet and compare the drugs on your result, specifically the ones with highest sensitivity. Compare them in specific use of treatment the get a proper prescription of the chosen drug in intravenous form. Timely follow the prescription without missing or delaying. Test at the same lab a day after the last IV dose.

What ever you chose, use the IV. I suggest you take a week off work. Most of these antibiotics work best intravenously.

Of course everything has its limits, but there a somethings that has a high limit to others, that's why I emphasised on the "fraction of a steering input". if its about that, a better car can handle it. That's all.

I don't know why people argue about jap and German cars. The simplest explanation is this.

Germans or British has more engineering
Japanese has less engineering

Which one is better depends on the application. German is better in their own way and jap in theirs. But from my explanation above, a German would perform better, and iv said why.
.
.
Let me analogize this for you.

You have N100million in your account, I have N100million in my account.

You buy a brand new Benz E class for N30million, I buy a brand new Honda Accord for N20million.

With regards to how much we both are worth, we are the same.

With regards to how expensive our cars are, you are better.

With regards to who has more in the bank, I am better.

Everybody wins at his preference.

German engineering cant be better than Japanese engineering neither are both better than Nigerian engineering. The onus boils down to preference.

German cars focus on the preference of luxury and performance while the Jap counterparts focus on economy and relaibility. Their paths do cross at some points but true comparison is only the one that takes into account the monetary value. The only way you can prove to me that german engineering is better is if you give me facts that dollar to dollar a German car always has more value than Jap mobile.

This generalization of german cars being better than Japanese cars makes me see shallow mindedness.

The main question is, is a 2019 Benz C class bought at N30m better than a 2019 Toyota Prius bought at same cost?
