One poor man doesn't want to get married, who cares? The op hasn't made any impact, billions of men would still get married and have children. He's only achieved 15minutes fame on a forum on the internet. Congratulations.

The fact that you think what happens here matters in the real world tells alot.

If I wanted to get married, I wouldn't choose the op, wouldn't choose you either. Are you successful? Rich? Handsome? Don't think so. You're a beta male. Don't flatter yourself.

Good evening forum. I will go straight to the point. I and my man started dating since like October last year, I am a student, and my man is a government worker, who earns well and he even the boss at his place of work.

But the issue I gave is, yes this man wants to marry me, but he doesn't give me good money, even despite him knowing some of my situation. He only me 1k or at times, 500, once in a very while. Sincerely I love this man,and he does too. But the not giving me money is the part that is really hurting me.

I haven't discussed it with him, cuz I am a shy type and I don't even know how to open my mouth concerning an issue like that, cuz I believe Its not my money. Whenever I seek for help in his DM, he wont reply the message.

And I don't intend discussing it with him cuz I don't know how. This thing is killing me and I don't just know what to do, we have been together for like 6months now.

You said the op is doing the good work of letting people know the reality of marriage, so they can choose if it's what the want or not.

If that was his motive, he would have been completely honest. Talked about the good and bad.

Since he didn't, he's just posting his opinion which is: there's no disadvantage of having a wife (read the title). But his father would disagree, no? And millions of other happily married men. Therefore, his opinion is biased and toxic and illogical. Growing up, did he not see the advantage of his mother in his father's life?

His father is the number one man in his life, what other man has revealed his secrets to the op or confided in him?

I don't want to get married cause it's not my thing. Not because I'm a hypocrite, condemning something others want and happily have. That would make me a lousy person. If the op finds marriage distasteful, he should remain single. There's no need to come here, with facts from social media, to write that marriage has no benefits when many would disagree.

There are marriages like his parents'. Does he live with these other couples? How does he know how miserable they are? The couples celebrating decades of being happily together, are they and his parents spirits and not humans? He got his fact from where? Social media? Lol. You only know so much about the people around you. His parents, relatives, friends and so on...they are the people whose marriages he can truly study.

You learn from your home first. No matter how bad other marriages are, if your parents have a perfect marriage, you would still be hopeful there are others like them. Aren't his parents human? How come their marriage is so great but others are bound to fail? He focused entirely on the negative aspects of marriage, ignoring all the good it did his parents. It's illogical and toxic.

I also find it surprising you mentioned your parents are happily married. You outlined only the negative aspects of marriage despite being raise by a couple who you claim truly love themselves. One would think you were raised in a broken home. Did your parents not inspire you? Did you not learn a thing for them? Isn't your mother a paragon of virtue, so much so that you pray for a woman like her... Are you sure you're not echoing the thoughts of your father? You still fail to understand simple politics. Politics and elections is a game of numbers. LP lacked and still lacks the structure to win a presidential election. It doesn't mean that they don't have places where they are strong but their strength is not enough nationally, they lack the spread and structure. That's simple arithmetic.
The factors of tribe, religion and poor FG performance/policies played out heavily in favour of LP as people voted against the ruling party. Those factors are largely removed in state governorship elections. There's no North versus South or tribe versus tribe battle or Muslim Muslim ticket emotions to vote against here. So most states will not have the effect like presidential. Only ipobic dominated areas like South East and social media warriors dominated areas like Lagos and Abuja can have strong LP showing. Evidently, no Abuja elections, so remains Lagos. That's why i didn't write them off for Lagos. Doesn't mean LP will win.
