I agree with the doc on most of it but not all.
I do not agree with the lesbianism part. Not because of morality but because it is illegal in Nigeria.
Every country has its own laws, whether liberal or archaic, law is law.
We pay heavy taxes because the law requires us to do so. I can personally disagree with the level or how the government uses some of our tax money, but I still obey the law & pay. That is the main issue.
Whatever you do that becomes public knowledge, you will always have enough hypocrites and judgmental folk folks t pummel you. So no no biggie.
The rule has always been: do not get caught. Nothing new. |

Sadly human ritual is very common in many parts of 9ja. We hear everyday of certain areas with almost news of ritual shrines, kids & waka about girls kidnapped for ritual, forests littered with human remains. Although some of the the skeleton seems unreal. I hope that at least despite disturbing the peace of the dead, that those people were not freshly killed for rituals but perhaps taken from the cemetery. As bad as it is, at least they were already dead. |

favoured234: ...azole (antifungal) that's the group of flagyl Sure I don't self medicate especially with antibiotics to avoid resistance The argument is not that metronidazole is not an azole, but that you seem to suggest it is not antibiotics. I may be wrong though. Hence my statement Tetracycline & metronidazole are antibiotics "too." For clarification, flagyl is better used to treat bacterial vaginosis these days. And flagyl is just a trade name for metronidazole and does not generally cover other azoles. Since Clotrimazole was discovered in 1969 and gradually came into use thereafter, it became preferred for treating candida. Also try to remind people to first consult their doctor. Seems like common sense but some can read our posts here and head straight to the pharmacy/chemist. |

favoured234: Not grouped under STD's, very common infection and easy to treat Its called so many names in Nigeria such as; toilet disease, candidia infection, virginal itching, I am reacting to toilet, I wore wet pants. If you attended a boarding school you will hear and see a lot of these, the prevalence is very high. In Nigeria, most times they just give tetracycline and flagyl (yes it works, but too many medicine and bitter) or some messy chemist give antibiotics (trust me it doesn't work cos its not a bacterial infection). there is also this pill that they insert I know canesten insert pill and fluconazole (just one oral tablet) My dear, both tetracycline & flagyl (metronidazole) are antibiotics too. In fact, they are some of the most abused antibiotics, especially to self-treat running stomach. The result is increased bacterial drug resistance. Like you also mentioned, antifungals like the azole group are usually first line. BUT always consult your doctor FIRST. |

See them. 9ja people negative o. What if that lady is an old friend, for a prince who studied in UK, was ambassador in many countries across Europe? When we told people that in ceremonies, Oba & his queens, Dukes & their queens symbolically cover their mouths, many were not listeng. Their minds are so closed that they talk like robots. Oba was having a public audience where he will also usually make a speech. How can he talk for example without teeth showing? Things done during ceremonies are not things done on daily basis. When an Oba shows a human face, they complain. When he follows what custom demands according to occasion, people still complain. Nigerians are very negative. We talk ourselves down too much. Nobody can take us serious if we despise ourselves so much. Those talking of oyinbo & whether they are not humans, I have an oyinbo in-law, who by virtue of marriage to a person of position in Benin Kingdom, she has reasons to be in the palace & has met both the late Oba & late Queen Mother on occasions. And she's not even the only one. We are all much more inter-related now than it was long ago. |

Be informed, once upon a time in human history Africa was the most advanced continent. When the Dutch first arrived Benin kingdom around the 1600 century they were so shocked about the rate of development they saw over here, so much that their expedition leader had to report back to Europe saying ''The town seem to be very great. When you enter into it you go into a great broad street, well paved, which seems to be seven or eight times broader than the Warmoes street in Amsterdam.
The king’s palace is a collection of buildings which occupy as much space as the town of Harlem, and which is enclosed with walls. There are numerous apartments for the Prince’s ministers and fine galleries, most of which are as big as those on the exchange at Amsterdam. They are supported by wooden pillars encased with copper, where their victories are depicted, and which are carefully kept very clean.
The town is composed of thirty main streets, very straight and 120 feet wide, apart from an infinity of small intersecting streets. The houses are close to one another, arranged in good order. These people are in no way inferior to the Dutch. They wash and scrub their houses so well that they are polished and shinning like glass''. And this scenario wasn't peculiar to Benin Kingdom. The Ashanti king in ancient Ghana kingdom was so rich that his official seat was made of REAL gold. Africa was extremely very prosperous before Europe made contact with us.
There were no significant difference between development in Africa and Europe by the time Europeans made contact with us. In fact, we were already leading in arts, in anything that had to do with sculpture. As a matter of fact, the British stole a lot of artworks from Oba Ovonramwen palace after they captured the king in 1897 or thereabout. Why would they want to steal a substandard artwork?.
Nobody was walking around naked in Africa, unless of course those in remote villages, and its still like that in many parts of the world. Europeans did not bring us dress and dressing!. Its not in record in anywhere, unless of course brainwashing education has fed YOU the lie. There're still cultures in Asia, Africa, South America that haven't made contact with modern civilization and are walking around naked. The neanderthals in Europe, and even in the medieval times in Europe also walked naked.
Let me tell you......The British actually killed the textile industry in all their colonies in order to encourage import from European manufacturers. Booming textile industries were destroyed from India, Malaysia, Africa in order to create market for Europe. That's what slavery and colonialism was all about- resource control.
Binis were the first people to develop copper or brass cast artwork, long before Europeans or any of the known world at the time. This's something that would've evolved into 3D cast early enough. We were already on that path!. Bini and Oyo artworks were so superior to Europeans at that time, such that they were massively stolen. And till today our artworks are still subject of display in museums in Europe and across the world. In fact, white people have refused to return artworks stolen from Bini empire, cause they're so precious. One university in Britain (Jesuit college) still use a stolen African art till today as its school emblem.
But everything changed once Europe made contact with us around 1400 AD. We became conquered and were no longer in charge of our destiny. Instead of developing our lands, African natural and human resources were being used to develop Europe. Therefore, we lost steam and were thrown into total darkness as a people for over 400 years!. But, within this 400 years Europe entered the age of technology and industrial revolution, all made possible by exploitation of Africa. Trains were built, cars built, advance in physics, chemistry, biology, e.t.c happened within this period, but sadly Africa was never a part of this technological revolution. That's why we cannot build our own car!. That's why we cannot build our own airplanes!!. Just imagine where a people could not make a single development for 400 years!.
Worst of it all is that before leaving they installed a brainwashing education to keep YOU in perpetual imperial control in absentia- which is the reason you have no problem the king ordering cars from the descendants of people that exiled his forefather. One of the reason for our current situation is as a result of many years of imperial intimidation and fake education/mis-education given to people like YOU who no longer believe we had a life before we met Europeans.
If we didn't have contact with Europe we would have advanced as much as Japan- one nation that was relatively immune from slavery. If we didn't meet Europeans we would have of course speak and write in our native languages.
Please go read ''How Europe underdeveloped Africa'' by Dr. Walter Rodney. To begin with, the same Walter Rodney's death allegedly murdered under instruction of President Linden Forbes Burnham of Guyana, a fellow black man. Sop reading a few books here & there makes you no expert. Every race tribe had a point when they lead in innovation & advancement. The Egyptions, the Greeks, the Persians, Arabs, Indians, Chinese, all once lead at some point. Eur |

I am beginning to believe paedophilia is VERY widespread in 9ja. And politicians may not be free from it. If not, why are they not enacting stiff laws to tackle it? Sadly, we will be producing the next generation of damaged women who cannot make good wives on the account of childhood trauma & abuse. I have been shocked by stories of people (now women) who were molested by a neighbour, school mother's boyfriend, tenant and more when they were still under 15. Most never reported it, those who reported were not believed or hushed down to avoid "shame & stigma". Also alarming is the number of underage boys abused/seduced by one "aunty" in the neighbourhood or another. |

Lescalier: You are an Edo man, but not a Bini Man. Maybe not Benin but if you trace the origins of his people, you will find very close links with Benin. In fact many people from his area regard Oba Ozolua n'Ibaromi (Ozolua the Conqueror) who reigned 1483-514 as their father. Ozolua is even a common surname for that reason in his area. His people made enormous contribution to fighting off Idah people/Jihadists from Edo North. Ozolua even temporarily moved his court to that area for a long time. Although a large number of them adopted Islam later but at least not on the pain of death or by force as Jihadists wanted. Ozolua was so impressed that he proclaimed all freeborn Etsako people princes & princesses of the empire. An enormous privilege at the time, like eligibility for positions in the military command, chietaincy titles and so on. That proclamation was never repealed. Chief Barrister Mike Ozekhome (SAN) from Etsako is a chief of Benin Kingdom. Maybe if you know a bit of history, you will know that Oba of Benin does not give chieftaincy titles to people without links to Benin Empire. |

That of 800k is also along the same road a distance duration of about a minute
Also there's another opposite Golden Heart College at Moloko Asipa going for 700k per acre
I can't say for the distance from Sagamu , but from interchange en route to the Moloko Asipa which is before Abeokuta it would take 12-15mins. Thanks very much sir. |

mastermaestro: Did you also listen to the language he used on Dangote during his coronation? When he spoke about the Gelegele seaport, he said that Dangote "must" investment in its establishment. People in the hall turned and looked at one another in amusement. They were surprised why an incoming monarch would employ such undiplomatic language in wooing non-indigenous investors.
Now you understand my points. When Ewuare I The Great was crowned in 1440 AD, there were big men wielding power anyhow in Benin then too. Oba's reforms looked impossible then. Remember things were tougher then and there was no much history of such change to draw on. Nothing Ewuare II has said so far has not been expected of him. If anything, it has been rather mild so far. Erediauwa was extremely lenient & diplomatic. Of the old school. But Nigerians take leniency as an excuse to misbehave. Like they did under Shagari & GEJ. But Benin is a unique place when it comes to monarchy. Even in the face of European tyranny then, with Ovonramwen in Calabar, Benin people carried on as though Ovonramwen was right there in the palace. Time of handling serious matters with kids glove is over. |
