This Na konjisquerade o. The babe sef just gallant dey give her number. ![]() |
EastGold:Can even obtain a legit passport and do businesses in some caribbean countries like Saint Lucia and Dominica. Na madness. |
Is that how regular exconvicts just out of prison visit heads of state and feted by political leaders? The elite will use their impunity to destroy Nigeria and end up in exile. They have not learned how indifferent political class in various African nations ended up as fugitives. They once perceived their peoples as docile. |
Cocolatti:God bless you. I write in another thread that New actually means Northern. ![]() |
SLAP44:So you think it's not too late yet? Wait until they bring New NNPC, New NMA, New Society of Engineers, New NPA, New NAFDAC New APC, New PDP 2.O and New everything, splintering the country right through the middle, then people will see how far. |
saheedbadmus:I wonder o. Who even knew the guy was ill? I didn't even know his name. I only saw his pics when the film came out. Some people like me do not rush to watch a film Just because everybody is watching it. It wasn't historical, so nothing for me to learn from it aside entertainment. Of course many who enjoyed his films and anybody else who wishes to, have the right to celebrate him in death. |
Golan007:Your uncouth outburst means you have the potential to be violent like your Boko folks. Sharia NBA would be a good thing. In preparation for the end of Lord Lugard's cursed and failed experiment. Boko Jurisprudence experts will be happy to join your Sharia NNBA. NORTHERN Bar Association. They should just admit the real name. |
Ghana have the right to do whatever they want in their country. Nigeria should ditch Africa first policy fast fast. Cooperate but it shouldn't be our priority. We invest too much in it for too little return. Go where more benefits dangle. The West do so. Permanent interest, no permanent friends. Focus on benefitting from closer ties with Asia and other rapidly developing and friendly countries whether in Africa or any continent. Give citizens more incentives to stay in Nigeria. |
Golan007: ![]() When did Kaduna turn to Israel & Palestine? Oh na that be una plan? On top Boko Haram? And some forming a religious New Nigerian Bar Association? So una dey enjoy all these divisions? Then there are many things "simpletons" like us don't know. May be things I used to call conspiracy theory may have some merits after all. |
Golan007:Then he should not be their governor. Surely a good governor should have aimed to do better than the previous. Not just give up because it is an old problem. |
I do not know how they are manufacturing so many kings in some parts of 9ja. When to many monarchs are not rooted in tradition, custom and history, they can be manipulated by politicians and rich men. |
Unless they are fellow runs girls, such code Na wash. Even at that the code is very limited when and absent if the prize is big enough. |
olawalepopoola:Listen Mr Man. If you want to know about Owo n Benin, I can enlighten you. That Owo royalty was influenced by Benin is no news. Similarities still abound between both. I straddle both. A large number of Benin people still reside across Eastern Yorubaland as Ado-Akure people today. Upele/Ipele in Owo LGA is largely of Benin descent. Though in last 50 years, a son of Oduduwa has been smuggled in as the 8th or 7th settler in addition to the 6 or 7 Benin settlers who first came. You know it became the trend for every yoruba community to conjure up descent from Oduduwa to be seen as Bona fide. Something the Olugbo of Ugbo has also talked about. Like Arab monarchs now all claim descent from the Holy Prophet. Even Saddam Hussain found a way to put the Holy Prophet in his family tree. That you could totally mistake another community for Ozanogogo is very strange. I would be very happy to see that all Nigerian tribes are related. Maybe it would reduce tribalism a bit. I for one feel kinship with people of Lagos, Edo, Delta, parts of Bayelsa and Rivers and Eastern Yorubaland. But we need to probably define these relationships. |
The evil some people in dear country are now capable of is nauseating. Life in prison for kidnapping is long overdue. |
IDENNAA:So you know history of Onitsha more than the grandmother of Dr Zik? She told Zik the history. A woman probably born not later than 1840. Zik was born in 1904. During Zik's grandmother's time, Igbo nationalism had not taken root, so people were still honest. The Aroli and other names, were they written in their birth certificates? Is it not through oral stories that the names were mentioned? So nothing makes those more genuine than Zik's grandmother's story. You think you know the language Ezechima and his followers spoke growing up more than a woman born probably around 1840? ![]() Like Olu of Warri, Oba of Lagos and several prominent monarchs today, the first monarch of Onitsha left Benin with followers. Meeting Igboid people across the Niger & relative distance from Benin soon Igbonised the new Kingdom. Just like Warri & Lagos monarchs. At least both acknowledge their Benin descent. I know Biafra quest makes it all too political now for Igbo to see beyond coming from Middle East Whatever the case, Benin do not care about Igbo or Anioma. The sooner Biafra breaks away the better. The sooner everything will go back to what it should have been. Please go meet Igbo & Yoruba using you guys to play ludo despite being 25 million people at least. Benin resisted the foolish contraption called Nigeria by resisting useless British protectorate status when many others were falling over themselves to accept it. Except a few other brave ones. gregyboy ghostwon |
proeast:I wanted to explain but I thought you were at least a little smart at least. But I was obviously too optimistic. If you read again I wrote " who later became popularly known as Ezechima". Meaning he had another name from Benin before getting that name later. In Japan, the Emperor gets his royal title after his death. It could be Enlightenment, Advancement or whatever (education, economic/technological success) best transformed or marked society during his reign. I keep referring to other old cultures because many people are too unexposed to see how humans have done things, irrespective of race or culture. So a leader being given a new name later is nothing new. So it appears you have not read the book Dr Zik wrote just after Biafra War. You can find out Ezechima's Benin name if you are not too lazy. Or should I spoon-feed you? |
JasperVII:I nor be Agbor. But several Ogbor deins were titled Gbenoba/Igbinoba. An Edo word meaning I seek protection or refuge with the Oba. Like Obika Gbenoba who reigned from 1935 to 1967. https://www.facebook.com/ASIRIMagazine/photos/obi-obika-gbenoba-obi-of-agbor-who-was-obi-from-1935-till-1967-photo-via-solomon/1555170664515080/ |

proeast:What's my business with Anioma? Are they packing gold in the streets of Anioma? ![]() I just illustrated the meaning of certain words in Benin Language in my post you first quoted. You could not prove that Okoro in Benin doesn't mean prince. Or that Uwa (like the girl sadly murdered in church) does not mean wealth/progress. So what's your argument about? All I care about is that people have the right to identify with who they want in accordance with what they know about their history. If Zik of Africa said in his book that he is the descendant of a Benin prince later popularly known as Ezechima, no idiot has the right to rubbish Zik for it. And that applies to anybody else. Let people write their own history. QED. Find another avenue to unleash your frustration. |
revolt:You are a low grade unintelligent agbero in fact. ![]() |
proeast:Lol. King George the first of England was the elector/monarch of Hannover when he was called become king of England in 1714. If you do not know about world history go learn about it. If you have the ability to do so. Because many of you are so narrow minded and bitter to read widely. Does it mean that England is today under Germany? The Royal family of Sweden came from France, is Sweden under France today? The first Oba of Lagos and Olu of Warri were Benin princes, are these kingdoms under Benin today? You and your Yoruba friends believe that originating from somewhere means inferiority, that is why so much fight to twist history. That due to more population of Yoruba on Nairaland, making wild claims, reflecting higher population of Yoruba compared to Benin in Nigeria does not mean they have any evidence. Evidence desperately cobbled together by ewedu academics. ![]() Benin people are not the ones conniving with Hausa Fulani to deny you lot your due in Nigeria 50 years after Biafra war. Those new friends of yours also connived with Hausa Fulani to massacre you people in Anioma. For your information, it's this silly and useless talk by Alake, a very recent monarch in history, that made Oba Akenzua the second to lead Midwest out of Western Region. We are used to the shinanigans of fake Yoruba and immigrants to Yoruba land who over do it. Like religious zealots who converted newly overdo it. Go face your history and current life with Yoruba since you call yourself Igbo. Benin has perfectly dealt with Yoruba for centuries. |
Mistakemaker:It's an advantage. As long as lives do not continue to be cut short Just when people become a bit comfortable or just climbed higher in their jobs. With people marrying later in life due to economic hardship, at 52 many still have all their kids below 20. Still in education. Much hardship for the surviving spouse and kids. |
gregyboy:The "thing" must be an Arisco foot soldier. Part of Ogiamien propaganda. They should go look for Osarobo, their rightful Ogiamien missing for years now. They are lucky that the palace is lenient with them because of the heroics of Evian, their original ancestor. This leniency is not to undo the generosity of Oba Ewedo towards Evian. The Benins respect bravery of our any citizen & ally no matter how long ago. But they should not push their luck too much. |
ethicallyright:Listen carefully. Low life expectancy of about 52 years is why Covid-19 fatality was so low in Africa & Nigeria in particular. In Europe, over 80% of those who died were over 70 years old. Despite the young faces mostly shown in newspapers. Over all over 90% of those who died were over 60. Now look at those prominent Nigerians who died of Covid 19. Even without taking football age into account, most were still officially over 60! A young population means fewer or no underlying conditions and better immune system. |
revolt:Stay put when asked to go and you think disruption won't happen? From your uncouth attitude and language you are clearly an agbero. Go try breach public peace Na and oyinbo will deal with you in their calm but resolute way. Your coconut head doesn't get it that if there was unity and harmony in that family previously, such drama wouldn't have happened. The kids from whichever mother should have all arrived together with the current wife as a family. |
revolt:Where did you read your law? Onakpakogberegeun law school? When you are disruptive police can send you away from your father's house never mind graveside. You are wiser than all the people at the graveside who asked the kids to take it easy and just go? You think it's by shouting (capital letter) and gra gra that law abiding societies use to function? |
mamaafrik:Na police go carry you comot there. You may even get a caution or criminal record that will affect all aspects of your life: profession, employment, political ambitions, visiting USA and some other countries, etc. UK nor be gra gra place. The wife at this point has the legal rights. When his last Will is read later, that's another matter. The wife can even challenge the will in court if she feels it is unfair to her. The kids can challenge it too but it favours the wife far more. |
Interesting. |
madridguy:And you never wet floor for Nairaland elders since. Do quick o. Congrats. |
pretydiva:True. But Shuaibu was never a poor kid. His dad officially adopted Adams Oshiomhole through ECWA in Kaduna. He put Oshio in school and later textile job. His dad was comfortable enough to go through the rigours of adoption. Officially by adoption Oshio is his brother. |
epigramdigital:My dear it shouldn't have surprised you. It is no different from university sorting or sex for grade. There are even special exam centres for all kinds of national exam. You see city kids leave their city schools to enrol in village schools for WAEC. Because they (students, invigilators, ghost exam writers, hired writers, school teachers, etc) can do whatever they want during exam in those schools. You can buy FG and state government jobs and just about anything in Nigeria if you have the money. And we are all worse for it. |
Op, how old are you? The guy has already read you. He knows he doesn't have to do much to get you laid. How you go forward from here will determine many things. No matter how much you have fallen in love, do not show it foolishly. All the advise here won't make any difference though. You will run into his arms any way and get played. |
