OlujobaSamuel:All Na politics. They cannot even tell the world his infringement and the procedure followed before voting to remove him. |
Sammy07:Well now Na three way fight. Igbo were fed up being spectators. They were just clapping hands before. Now dem don enter dance floor. ![]() At the end of all this oyinbo researchers will later tell us nobody came from Egypt, Saudi, Yemen, Israel or Nubia. Na that same 9ja our ur-ancestors dey Tele Tele. All just moved in different directions over time. ![]() |
OfoIgbo:Oh boy you just dey form Nri supremacy story. Take permission from Nri? ![]() Benin was a place where every kingdom had what today would be called an embassy. Though not permanent structure as today but regular envoys. It's no secret that noblemen and princes from far and wide came to understudy Benin administration, culture, and monarchy. You can focus on Igbo cultural renaissance without trying to claim Edo like Yoruba are doing. They want the shine of Benin history. Claiming to have controlled Benin is an attractive but dubious short cut to relevance. When put in their place, they call Benin is 2 x 2. Why bother about and scramble over "2 x 2"? ![]() When pikin drag something and e nor reach him hand e go say I nor even want am before sef. ![]() I guess post Biafra war Igbo were too busy pursuing individual wealth. Now it's becoming obvious that history and culture are vast inexhaustible wealth on their own. I wholeheartedly support any group researching and bringing their culture, art and history to the fore. Igbo culture is important to nearby cultures of Edo, Yoruba, Idah, Idoma, Efik/Ibibio, Izon, etc. |
Dansuqi:If he loses or if anybody wins let it be fair and square. No rigging and no intimidation. That's all that matters. |
Dansuqi:My relatives have positions in APC. Both party and govt. I should normally be hyping APC if I was a typical 9ja person. But I do not support APC or any party. I support individuals who I believe to at least one eye in a country of blind politicians. |
Dansuqi:His entitled mentality cousins whose aunt is also Ize-Iyamu's mother! Una nor sabi anything about how these people relate. Agho Obaseki's family is a big family so of course they inter married with most prominent Benin families. Two Obasekis including Agho were Benin traditional prime ministers, The Iyase, second in command to the Oba. Elite of the elite. |
GamalNasser:Na lie o. Michelle was not much liked by white people. She was too visible and opinionated in their opinion. Obama was just too good on his own. Young voters across the board supported him. Of course Michelle privately contributed to how good he is but whites did not see it that way. Kamala Harris is a complex character who did what she needed to do in a white dominated society to advance her career in California and get to where she is now. |
iLUCID:Edo has been cosmopolitan before Eko was even founded. Sure Lagos later grew as British Lagos colony with much trade and later as FCT. I guess many people don't know what cosmospolitan means. The most cosmopolitan states have something in common : most were or are FCT, Regional capitals or otherwise historically commercially important. People have moved to these places since centuries and decades to try their luck, or be close to seat of power : Lagos, Oyo, Abuja, Kaduna, Edo, Enugu, Kano, Rivers and such fit in. Some like Lagos have HQs or major offices of multi-national companies. Sample the mix of people in these places and see the result. Plateau, Sokoto and Delta are also very diverse. Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers have recently increased in diversity also. Nearness of Niger and Nassarawa states to Abuja and Ogun to Lagos have made these places increasingly diverse too. |

God punish poverty. May God bless them. |
drskyfly007:Leave him. He does not know that precedence is very important in law. In a jurisdiction like UK that has no written constitution, a novel High Court judgement can even become what is called a "judge made law". Basically a new law is created without recourse to an Act of Parliament in Westminster. Even some countries with a constitution like Germany, the Constitutional Court (their version of Supreme Court) and even the High Court, can make what is called a "Grundsatzurteil" meaning "basic judgement" which becomes law to guide future related cases. That's what happened in the Supreme Court on Bayelsa guber election. |

edochie12:Maybe they want to be able to regularly go to the grave site to meditate and put flowers on the grave. The idea of bringing everyone home is not possible nowadays. Many who belong to a tribe are born, bred and live whole lives in other places and even other countries. I have seen many Igbo people buried very far from home. We all have to accept cultural evolution. I would argue that virtues of close family ties, hard work, honesty, respect for elders, patience and such that various tribes value are far more important to try to maintain. RIP. |

heendrix:As for those smiling for a selfie, it shows the warped show off mentality common now. A young vibrant lady's funeral. Not an old woman who had lived a long life. In Nigeria coveted government jobs have many diabolical people in it. With only few jobs lucrative around, competition is fierce. If you oppose or hinder the cesspit of corruption that goes on in public jobs, God save you. |

BlackSpanner:Look at that crowd. Less than 5% will be over 60. Think of all those you know to have died of Covid. Over 90% are over 60. People over 60 are more likely to have weaker immunity and several other illnesses. The low level of serious Covid-19 disease and deaths is due to low life expectancy of about 52 years. The same pattern is seen worldwide. Of course these young people will shake it off mostly after no or mild symptoms. They have too few elderly people still alive to pass it to. |
The trouser this your matter wear, its sharp gator can cut person like razor blade o. ![]() |
Hmmmm. |
His people will soon call him omale. The babalawo who did the drug lord's otumokpor must have been killed immediately. The juju is working seriously on zombies. ![]() |
FunkyAlhaji2015:That lady chii59 you quoted is really cute o. Haba! It cannot be an insult comparing herself to Zara. |

Settling rubbish scores. Creating enemy everywhere. |
Good that the world is watching. Even those who are silent. |
Because the blood of Funsho Williams has not caught up with this man he is still talking. Maybe it partly has. Funsho Williams' children were complete to Bury him. This should now be clear to previously blind Edo people. Yoruba want Edo as a territory. Using Akoko Edo and Edo North people with ambiguous ethnic and religious loyalties like Yoruba people. We left Western Region in 1963 democratically. No going back. |
No ceremony at all. Those people obviously don't deserve any more second of time. ![]() |
seunmsg:And you think Oshiomole that was allowed to do his 8 years jeje but now wants to distabilise govt is an angel of peace? Oshiomhole has Brought godfather politics of crisis that Akintola and Awolowo introduced to Nigeria to Edo. Midwest left Western Region in 1963 to leave that sort of poo. |
