They have admitted that these people use state funds to run their parties, and some people are here still supporting them. What is the difference between APC and PDP? We are not ready for progress and good governance in this country. We the citizens bear a greater share of the blame for the shambolic joke this country has become than the criminal politicians.

I believe in God,
the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from there He will come to judge the living and the dead... AMEN smiley
Complete it.
I believe in the Holy Spirit.
The holy Catholic Church
The communion of saints
The forgiveness of sins
The resurection of the body
And life everlasting. Amen

At the Mention of the Name of JESUS, every knee bows.
There is no other name by which Humanity can be Saved.

Having Said that, lets leave Mary alone.
Mary, Martha, John, Peter, Paul, Elijah or James have nothing to do with the Salvation of anybody.

Mary was Privileged to be the instrument through which JESUS was brought on Earth. It could have been anyone.it could have been any other woman. It was a Privilege and that's where it ends.

Mary, Paul, peter, James, Moses or whoever cannot Save you or Help or assist you to be Saved.

Salvation is ALL about JESUS and JESUS ALONE
Keep your half-arsed opinion to yourself. No one said anything about worshiping Mary.
Romance › Re: #SilhouetteChallenge: The Day Naked 'Prostitutes' Invaded Our Timelines by Arielle: 4:50pm On Jan 31, 2021
uche87:
When I was growing up as a Christian, I was regularly told that my body is the temple of the Lord and it should be honoured.

"Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own" 1 Corinthians 6:18-19.

This verse from the Holy Bible appears to have lost relevance in the minds of Nigerians youths who have sacrificed their dignity on the altar of 'easy money'.

In the teenage ministry, the above saying resonated more about the girls who must have been virgins then. Flaunting of cleavage, tummy, bum and hips were alien to the accepted fashion trends then. The ladies easily appeared like the Deeper Life Church faithful, and the beautiful ones were still spotted and admired. This was before the advent of heavy make-ups that are as thick and compact as the foundation of a building. Those who flaunted their bodies were hastily regarded as prostitutes and people making those judgements were hardly wrong.

Today, it is hard to differentiate a normal woman from a prostitute who is out for business, and I say this with all sense of respect. These women don't only expose sensitive parts of their bodies as they move about their daily activities, they also nurse the desire to give pleasure to willing men, in exchange for money or favour, in diverse means.

Social media pages are set up as marketing channels to reach prospective customers. These young women have become influencers with a huge following, by simply posting naked photos and videos on social media. They desperately want to prove to the outside world that they are doing well. Behind the scenes, in their DMs lie series of sexual transactions from big men, who are ready to offer them highly lucrative deals for the most despicable sexual experiences. But that is an issue for another day.

On Wednesday, the 27th of January, 2021, the mind-boggling SilhouetteChallenge caught fire in Nigeria, and it was raging on Twitter. It involved young ladies dancing naked under the cloak of silhouette visuals using Snapchat and TikTok’s latest filters. Their unclothedness is covered by the veil of darkness and dim lights while their jiggling breasts, round hips and bouncing bums are viewed in the form of shadows.

The challenge comes with the use of American-Canadian singer Paul Anka’s hit single “Put Your Head on My Shoulder”, which is used as background music due to its slow chord progression. Nigerian ladies who were already in the business of desperately seeking attention and 'marketing' opportunities were handed a free hand to express their level of moral decadence and crass display of indecency. In a viral video, a lady's hand was almost cut off by a ceiling fan as she tried to join the silly challenge. Another was beating blue-black by her father, who caught her recording herself without clothes. The funny backstories have been endless.

Most of the ladies that shamelessly participated were already familiar faces, with a long history of posting obscene contents on Instagram over the years. They have become brand ambassadors of phoney sex enhancement drugs which have been over-advertized on Instagram. They also appear in highly sexual comedy skits. They twerk, appear publicly in scandalous outfits and share ridiculous sex tips for social media visibility.

The unholy and ungodly trend afforded them the blatant opportunity to reach out to a bigger audience and expand their client base. It was done under the guise of youthful exuberance, harmless fun and social media trend, but there was more to it. A randy man with a few coins in his pockets will be interested in surveying the 'products'. Social media is like a showroom. He understands the deep intentions of the ladies and he makes different enquiries that could be tantamount to a 'market survey.

The bottom line and result of the #SilhouetteChallenge is prostitution. We know this but we tend to shy away from the truth as long as our relatives are not involved. There is a saying that it is easy to watch a mentally-challenged person dance but it is harder to have one as a child.

Pastor E. A Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God must have been let down by the trend that he was forced to condemn it vehemently. As a cleric, he must think for once that the church might not be doing enough, despite dominating every nook and cranny of Nigeria. Nigerians are not holy, they are only very religious. There is a clear difference!

The good thing is that the #SilhouetteChallenge has been replaced by the #ScriptureChallenge, and the bad girls have been forced out with their disgraceful contents and antics.

The #SilhouetteChallenge days will be fondly remembered for the golden opportunity it gave the women of easy virtue to brazenly showcase their wares to the outside world. They were suddenly in our faces, and those that couldn't stand the heat of the kitchen were forced to leave.

No matter how much Dele and his tribesmen may have erred in both their judgment and past actions, it is not enough to mock them and disunite against the common enemy or the war that is coming.

No one gains anything from mockery but the bond of affection that binds us (South) together is strengthened in the days of adversity.

If silence will bring you peace but brings war to your neighbors, choose not to be silent because the war will ultimately come to you.

Who honors those we love for the very life we live? Who sends monsters to kill us, and at the same time sings that we will never die? Who teaches us what's real and how to laugh at lies? Who decides why we live and what we'll die to defend? Who chains us? And Who holds the key that can set us free... It's You. You have all the weapons you need. Now Fight!

Thank you. Well said. We still do not realise the keg of gunpowder we are comfortably sitting on. When the conflagration comes (and it will come) everyone in Nigeria will be comsumed. Whatever your tribe or political leanings, whoever you voted for or supported, everyone will go down with this sinking ship called Nigeria. As long as you are in Nigeria, you will feel the calamity that is coming. There will be no time to 'port' to another country for safety. So continue pointing fingers at apologists, ass kissers and 'wailing wailers' who are just begining to wake up feel real fear for our common enemy. Because that enemy is stronger, more united and more determined than you could ever imagine. While we shout, abuse each other and remember all past wrongs and misguided actions our fellow southerners have committed in their greed and quest for political relevance, that common enemy is consolidating and waiting for the right moment to deal the final blow.

What I see is incompatibility. I say so because what he did was wrong and your reaction also was mean. See lemme tell you one secret. When your partner does some extremely annoying things, it always wise not to obey your instinct of revenge because at long last, people won't see his wrong but blame you for your extreme reaction. That's the formula most men use to avoid physical abuse of their women.

You shouldn't have cut the call on him. And from the story, you seem to have had him in mind over his lack of support in previous times which was what pushed you to react that way, because if that wasn't the case, your conscience would strike you to call back and apologize for hanging up on him...that's the normal thing when in love.

Besides, waiting a whole week to call him back, truth be told, you seem to be emotionally stable than him and you're using it as strength against him. He seem more emotional, that's why he wanted to year you say something affectionate about taking his little offer of support for the car. If you had joked about it and gave him a tender feeling that you'll take his offer, that would have puffed up his masculinity and he'll feel honored. You need to study his psychic to know what response will soothe him.

You both need to open up to each other more. That issue of asking him for money because you have been the one supporting him was probably presented as a sudden rise of intelligence which he's not been used to from you. You shouldn't have presented it like "I can't afford it, I need your help". It would have been better if you had presented it like "I can afford it but I want ur support so I can remember you and brag of you" Not like a revenge strategy now but like I want your influence and aura in my things. That will not only make you wify but will also make him feel you believe in him. Wish I could advice you privately
Spot on. You're very smart.

Was it Covid-19 that caused his death?

That ought not to be of those who are truly God's servants. Check their history in the Bible.

Perhaps there's something we don't know.

Nonetheless, may God grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss. Amen.

Apparently it was only because his time to die had come, because there was still life in his bones even after his death.

2 Kings 13:20-21 (KJV)

And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.
And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.

So Elisha didn't die because of the sickness but because his time to die had come, otherwise the sickness would have never been able to kill him.

God bless.

A bank officer, especially top management have fiduciary responsibility of honesty, integrity and acting in their customers best interests. A fiduciary is an agent of his principal, in this case the bank. For this reason, their personal lives are not their own. In this case a man was cheated and lied to. Failure of integrity and concealment bring the M.D capability as fiduciary into question and pose the question - if this man is incapable of integrity in his personal life, is he capable of it in his official life?

In a more sane environment, he would have resigned. But Nigeria being what it is - nothing will happen.
Thank you. People have forgotten that a banking environment is supposed to be a conservative one. At least in normal countries. Being in charge of people's money means that they expect a high level of integrity. It is only in Nigeria that bankers act like over-sexed celebrities. As a leader, there is also the issue of ethics and the fiduciary relationship he holds with the bank and the board. I can't believe people are questioning what case he has to answer!!!! What a sick society we live in.

Celebrities › Re: The Misguided Hate On Nigerian Rich Kids - Opinion by Arielle: 1:33pm On Dec 30, 2020
Freemasonry:
I've come to understand that it's almost normal for the hoi polloi to hate privileged people. I don't really understand the psychology behind that but I know it's unhealthy and silly. Instead of misdirecting such misguided hate on people whose fathers made money why not hate your father who couldn't make it.

Take for instance, a few years ago Paddy Adenuga had published an inspiring article where he shared his struggles in business and how he succeeded, but in a bizarre twist of narrative the haters attacked him and alluded to the fact that his father's money did this and did that.

Shortly after, Dj Cuppy was also bullied online by people who believes she has no business being a dj, let alone a popular one at that. To them it's her affluent background that's doing the trick not her talent.

The same with Davido. No matter what he does, how many awards he wins, or cool tunes he drops, he'll never be good enough for these people who believe he didn't earn his place at the table.

Instead, they revere and respect those they think are from the streets even when these people are nothing short of mediocre. A case in point is the current frosty relationship between Davido and Burna boy, how did it all start? Both of them were chummy until Burna boy made a disparaging remark about Davido's father buying fame for him. This was not only in bad taste but smacks of obvious jealousy. That you struggled to climb up the ladder due to lack does not make you better, or mean that those who have the resources to advance their dreams or careers must suffer like you before their talents can be validated.

And if the eyewitness account in the media is anything to go by, then it’s obvious that this unfortunate incident was all Burna boys doing. He showed up at the club with 6 hired goons and went straight to the VIP section where Davido was sitting to confront him. Although this is yet to be verified but judging from Burna boy’s propensity for violence it is highly probable that is what happened.

It’s time people do away with this wrong notion that privileged kids don’t deserve what they have. No matter how hard they work there’s always someone who thinks that without their money they’d probably not make it that far, but nothing could be farther from the truth. These kids work just as hard as the poor kids, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with using what you have to advance yourself. I mean you can’t hate on these kids just for being rich as if they’re the ones that stopped your father from making money. It’s wrong and it’s in bad taste.

Instead of hating divert that energy into making money so your kids won’t be just like you. Shout out to David. Keep keeping it a 100.

Romance › Re: I Love Him So Much But I'm Afraid I've Lost Him. by Arielle: 4:41pm On Dec 11, 2020
roteblomen:
Telling a woman "I love you" is something men do not easily say, and definitely not via internet. Just as women protect their sexual integrity by not having sex too soon, men protect their emotional integrity by not saying "i love you" too soon either. If he tells you too soon, especially when you haven't met, then chances are, he is overdosing you with word pills that will scatter your brain, afterall, women fall in love by what they hear. If he is handsome, then surely, he would have experienced with lots of women about what works and what does not.

Did he send you nudes just as you sent him yours? I bet the answer is no. He didn't even paid for your ticket, but expected you to pay with your money, so if you decide not to come, the loss is in your pocket. How can you not see his game here? Listen carefully to this part, and it is that men express love by giving resources (money, phone, car etc), and women express love by sexing. If he told you that he loves you and can't even pay your flight before hand, he is lying. I understand you're under emotions and can't think straight, but I'm telling the so called guy is a gamer.

You see how men rapidly comfort a random woman crying in public, and treat women like delicate flowers, so how will he ignore you for days when he knows you're hurt by his indifference? Its not man like. Men have a deep instinct to comfort a woman in distress, and especially not to be the cause of her distress. Your case is easily believable and legitimate because it is clear that you lost your flight money, making the reason for not coming to Lagos believable. You're at loss here. Also, where is the understanding in his own part? If a little issue like postponing your visit can infuriate him this much, what if something even more bigger happen if you eventually be in a committed relationship?

Now bet me on this. He will come back to you. When you assume disinterest and stop contacting him, he would "forgive" you, shower you with a bit of love and try to ignite your feelings before it dies completely, in the hope that this time, you can make it to Lagos, and his plans would be accomplished. I know you won't listen, because its hard to advise a woman in love. But when he comes back, play this game with him.

Tell him to come visit you, and that you'll pay for his flight when he arrives Abuja. Just reverse the game. If he thinks its fair for you to come and the flight fare reimbursed by him, then he should accept it when the table is turned around. If he refuse, then you have to kill whatever love you have for him. He doesn't have your best interest at heart. Visiting someone in a place where you have no home advantage is dangerous. Dont do it. If you refuse to have sex with him for example, then, you'll have to be strong enough to repel him if he forces his way, and also have a place elsewhere to sleep either.

I'm advising you like I would do to a young sister, I only hope that you listen. Take care.

Gwan2:
You can quantify the intelligence quotient of a nation or population just with the advent of this Covid 19 vaccine. Where I currently reside in one of the western countries, most of the population especially the younger generation are sceptical of the vaccine and some say they won't take it if it is made voluntary...now MOST of the people I meet here say they are having doubt because the vaccine was rushed, they have the knowledge that from antecedence vaccines take longer duration of passing through series of stages before final approval and administration to masses. As a result of the shorter duration of approving this vaccine they doubt the efficacy of the vaccine and some say they will wait and see the repercussion on those that have taken it first before taking their shot.

Now here in my country Nigeria there are several scepticism and theories about the vaccine, one of the scepticism about the vaccine is that BILL GATE want to use the vaccine on people so that he can control the world population. Another theory is that ''They'', in many cases I have asked these conspiracy theorist who are the THEY but they kept it at they...so these theorist believe the vaccine is a tool for mass control and population control. Another theorist in my country Nigeria believe is the coming of Anti-christ and this vaccine together with 5g network is the first stage of the drama.

Now with these state of mind you can guess what year or century we will think and start manufacturing jet engines, space rockets, robots, 5G technology, twin technologies, jet fighters, aircraft carriers...the list goes on and on.
Spot on. The vaccine was rushed. The processes of animal testing was totally by-passed. Attempts to develop a vaccine for the corona virus has been on going long before this pandemic. And the results found during the process of animal testing were quite horrendous. Why have they decided to by-pass that crucial stage especially given the dismaying results previous testing on animals showed? These people (whoever the hell they are) need to be truthful with the world. At least let us have all the facts before we make decisions to take some unknown, barely tested substance into our bodies. My concern is that they may, at some point make it mandatory for everyone to take the vaccine. That sounds ominous.

It's rape because she's underaged. The legal age of consent is 18 years. Anyone under 18 years is a child under the Child Right Act. So, little wonder northern states refused to domesticate the law. I hope you now understand what statutory rape means. Consent is no excuse, because a child cannot consent.
Please do you remember our footballers who ran afoul of the law in Europe? They had consensual sex with girls who though underaged, actually /physically looked matured. So it's an adult's duty to verify the age of a would-be sex partner before the act. Otherwise, you would have your self to blame.
