Chriswazo: Some of these people don confess tire, God have mercy. These pictures are terrifying mehn Security people d try, even press men wey get liver d snap people that are running for their lives o as if dem get 2 lives. May this never be our portion! They(experienced Wartime press & security forces) use to be extremely afraid too. Overtime, when you face a situation repeatedly, you become desensitized (No matter how dreaded, disgusting or anxiety-inducing ) and you soon become used to it. There are little fears here and there[since life is still at stake] but their general attitude exudes much calm than the typical person experiencing it for the first time. |

Rebuke: Ok, today I was to meet one of the bakery owner and he later cancelled the appointment due an emergency, according to him.
Well, I won't stop till I gather reasonable infor and enough knowledge.
Somehow, this thread is becoming my own diary. Hmmmm.
I didn't create this thread for myself o. If this continues, wll leave the thread but I promise to share pix of my bakery once its opened.
Hope say una go patronise me wella sha. Watch out for me. I don't know a lot about bakeries BUT seeing you struggle to get info both here and with real bakers, I would proffer a solution. Get one or two good/practically inclined books on (production) baking. And watch as many videos as possible on YouTube to supplement, making your own tweaks where necessary. It is just pricing/sizing that you have to look around to understand (since you'll still sell in a local market) . And that should not be a problem. In this age, More than any other time in history, access to Information cannot be the problem. |

Edodefender: Pidgin English originated from Bendel area and we'll make it an official language of the Niger delta or Benin kingdom..
Benin, the nightmare of ndi Igbo and evil wishers as well. The greatest race on earth.
God in my next life, I want to be from the descendants of Benin be it Bini, ikwere, urhobo, ekpeye. Just make me a descendants Pidgin English originated from Bendel ? I wish it was. but.....No. Pidgin has no Native speakers. Creole/pidgin is spoken for ease of communication in many parts of the world. The pidgin English spoken in Delta/Bendel/Edo in Nigeria is arguably the most interesting (I myself appreciate and find it Amusing). But make No mistake, Pidgin(Including Pidgin English/Creole) has been spoken in Most parts of West Africa since the Colonial ages. |

SmartMindsFx: you are making points that are not valid stylishly. If you are a certified financial advisor, you can be an advisor in forex, stock, crypto etc.
Learn what financial advisor means before trying to raise a point... Ok Sir. I guess we would have to agree to disagree then. I still think that as a High risk, Volatile, unregulated and Unsubstantiated fringe Instrument, Cryptocurrency doesn't yet fall under the realm of any traditional instruments covered by a conventional investment house. If anyone thinks/calls himself a Cryptocurrency expert because he is a/an Financial/Investment advisor (in the traditional sense), such a person MAY be overreaching. Some of the world's most successful Finance people do not even claim expertise in the technology. I don't know the direction Cryptocurrency may take in terms of its potentials and very few (If any) would know yet. Claiming expertise in these areas NOW is, at best, ignorant and very risky. Thanks. |

SmartMindsFx: Sir! There are certified financial advisors in the crypto line. You'll be so amazed to know a 17 year old Brit is one.
As for you to understand what you wanna put your money in, what I mean by that is that your should decide if you wanna be an investor or a trader before going into crypto. Ok then. please what legally recognized body Certifies cryptocurrency advisors? |

SmartMindsFx: There's a difference between CryptoCurrency investment and trading.
The reason so many people got burnt is that they didn't understand how crypto works and that's why they have themselves to blame.
You need a certified financial advisor if you wanna be a crypto investor (investors are long termers).
If you were one of the people that invested with their life savings, accept my sympathy.
But if you have been a common trader just like me, I say a big kudos to your mentality.
Bottom line, understand what you wanna put your money in before jumping into it.
If you wanna learn how to trade crypto with ease, I am one of your go to guys in naija (even if I day so myself). But there are no 'certified financial advisors for cryptocurrency' as it is a burgeoning technology with substancially unproven capacity. "understand what you wanna put your money in"? No one can yet claim to have any substancial knowledge of how the tech would turn out. At best what you'll find are chronic speculators that scored a few net wins' |

Politics › Re: Billionaire With Private Jet/ Yacht To Pay Luxury Taxes From 2019 - Federal Govt by Asour: 12:45am On Dec 26, 2018 |
Asour: Really? But what did they do bad? Becoming rich? You too could be on that side(become rich) one day and then would see this general demonization of the rich as unhealthy. The rich actually contribute to the lives of the common man in more ways than you realize.
@ the Topic, The issue has never been about the AMT. of tax revenue the government of raises. What % of the tax revenue would be put to judicious use [that's the big question].? If this is not questioned , what this policy would succeed in doing is to make more money available for thieves to steal.
And as for the rich, trust me they'll do just fine. For one they have the machinery to institute all sorts of tax avoidance schemes to navigate the potential liabilities. The so called 'poor man' may bear the brunt of these initiatives.
Again the broad demonization of the rich does no one any good. . |

Because GEJ, rejected most of his policies.
E.g same sex marriage.
So, he wanted someone lifeless that he can remote.
Now that's he's out, and Hillary is also out. NTÔÓÓR!!! To be fair though there was no guarantee, either then or now, that PMB would enthrone his policy(same sex Marriage) so...? Actually there's no reasonable Nigerian presidential aspirant that buys into that policy. Saying the US supported this guy against that guy because this guy said no to them when the new guy was most likely going to say no too is contradictory. |

adedayourt: That's another angle from which we can view it.
Competition is good for consumable goods, but might utterly profer well for a professional body.
It might just pave a pathway to diminish standard and quality. What standards? To be honest they (in a lot of instances) have shown operational inefficiencies. real inefficiencies. Ask yourself why they always seek to stop(through legal means) any budding professional institute that seek to compete with them rather than Compete out such bodies through output alone. They are the most prominent body around locally but as humans the tendency exists to rest on your laurels and become an arrogant Demigod if you aren't kept on your toes. High quality competition ensures this. Anyone, Anyone, who seeks to prevent this sought of competition other than through work output was never there for public interest (Isn't that what professional bodies claim to protect?) because such a person by preventing others from entering the playing field, claims Monopoly of knowledge/skills which is not true of anyone/group. |
