There is nothing like exaggeration here please, if you happen to step on that bridge, I am sure your opinion will be different. I have experienced it, the bridge vibrates awkwardly. It is very scary!

I witnessed this 1st hand and I can say that I was gripped with fear! Two weeks ago, it happened that my car suddenly overheated on the bridge during this early morning heavy traffic around 7am. I came down to open the bonnet to assess what was going on but to my greatest fear the bridge was vibrating dangerously. Please, this calls for a big ALARM!!! That bridge needs serious attention. Even though, I don't work on the Island but my occasional trips there now is worrisome.
EXCEPT IF THIS IS THE WAY ALL BRIDGES SHAKE. BUT MY NORMAL INSTINCTS SAYS THERE IS DANGER! SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT.

Those guys are very notorious at Iba Express just before the Badore bridge. They broke my fog light with big stick. Those policemen are crooks, extortionists! They are criminals! They block the roads on the 2 ways and extort freely, and if you don't want to give, they will forcefully drive you into there police station which shows their bosses are the ones who send them out on this criminality.

I have a brother, in fact the eldest son of my Dad who is disabled. In spite of his disability he is now a PhD holder, now lives in the United States with wife and 3 Children. He has a coaching centre in California and has a foundation in Nigeria which helps disabled people like him. He gives money to able bodied people like me. Even with my able body am yet to complete my MBA since 2014. What more can I say...? Life is life! Just be convinced within yourself and make your decisions. It will be well!

So the young lady in question made it clear that he is independent. He got to this stage of his life without this lady physically assisting him so why would she start bathing and carrying him around? What makes you think he cannot climb stairs?
The bottom line is as a society we are biased against people with a disabilities. We assume some external forces are at play, it’s contagious and disabled people should not enjoy life as we do for one reason or the other. That is just ignorance at play.
To conclude it is your life, there is no guarantee that marrying an able bodied man will yield better results.
It might take a bit of time to convince your parents but persevere with this.
Society in general needs to look at disabled people the way you do with this man. View them as people not just focus on the wheelchair as some comments seem to be doing here.

What I don't always understand is - why is it that, it is at the worst parts of our roads in Lagos (Nigeria) that we have the presence of Government Agencies like LASTMA, FRSC, POLICE, CUSTOMS, IMMIGRATION etc. and yet nothing happens. Is it that these guys don't report the disgraceful state of the roads to their bosses or the Government?
This is why I will never stop for any Road Safety Corp along Mile2-Badagry-Seme road, because there is nothing 'safety' on that road amongst others.

THEY ARE SLAY RATS, N1000 NOTES-EATING RATS! IF YOU VENT ANYHOW THEY WILL DEAL WITH YOU!!!
