She just makes my skin crawl. Karma is best served cold Stella

For me, it's between Maryam Babangida and Mama Peace (Patience Jonathan). I actually think most of those giving it to Stella Obasanjo belong to the indomie generation. Just saying, though. No offense meant.
Late Maryam Babangida was the first first lady to give meaning to that office. Gone are those days- Better Life!
Mama Peace! Hmmm...
Anyway, she was popular for being a loose cannon.
I don't agree sir. Mama Peace was popular for all the wrong reasons and since her husband left office she seem to disappear into oblivion except for the saga with EFCC. However I'll admit I was only a toddler when Maryam was first lady and even my elders and parents don't rate her highly. Those times were good times and she will definitely be remembered. However Stella was what a first lady should be. She had class, she could represent Obasanjo at an event and would get an applause, her work in charity and giving to the people made us love her more. I cried like she was someone I know when she died. She's the first lady Nigeria need. Not this concubine turned wife we have now

Bros ignore them. They think it's by force to add delta to Biafra. They want Biafra, which is and should be only eastern state, but are dragging territories which will only worsen the situation. They can as well request for Abuja or we rename Nigeria to Biafra. The hate comments from the average Biafra/Igbos on nairaland shows how low minded they are

TsaTrinity:
Hmmm....after reading all the comments here, I've come to realise that IPOB accept Anything concerning biafra. Even if it's a lie. Can you imagine what all of you are saying? Kogi and Benue be part of Biafra? Since when? Am from kogi state and even if things ain't fine in the state, nothing will make Kogi join Biafra because they will be a minority group there and the Biafra govt will care less about Kogi and Benue. Is it not the reason why Biafra was created? Coz Nigeria cares less for you guys?
I respect the ideology of Biafra, infact assuming am the president of this country, I would let you guys go and knock yourself out but joining Kogi and Benue is No No. Am sure it's because of the oil found at the Anambra/Kogi border that they're been mapped out. So don't give yourself hope, call us pitiable, call us anything but Kogi prefers to be in Nigeria or Arewa/Oduduwa nation than Biafra
If this is true and judging by the comments I'm seeing here then the Igbos don't know what they want. They might as well just rename the country Biafra to make them happy. Do Spain claim territories because those places speak Spanish? Do Britain claim territories because people speak English? Fine you have igbos there as well as around the world who have been there for decades. Why not go to the US and claim states there as Biafra territory. The agitation is turning into something else

..so my question now is what changed in between??i mean how did u go from been a dullard and unserious to been the best student now,,na that chnge dey baffle me
The moment I realised it's easy. Education just like the society has been built in a way for you to see the difficult part. Once you understand this you're good. Just like in society once you solve the need or were a sector is lacking you're rich, just in education when you know what the examiner wants then you can get your A without bodering about cramming it. In uni I only read maximum 4 hours during weekend and few hours before exams just went through my journals to see what I've noted down. And it worked like magic. My coursemate would see me partying, flirting, watching movies and football but making excellent grades. They barely saw me reading. But once you understand how it works, you'll make it. I also didn't read for jamb and post utme into Uniben but got over 60 in utme and 234 in jamb. You just have to understand how it works bro

I just called my brother who's serving in cross river, he's currently in camp,CROSS RIVER STATE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, AKAMKPA, CROSS RIVER STATE and he told me how a female corper attempted suicide after she was harassed by a female soldier. According to him she was ordered out of the room yesterday by the soldier but she refused because she was not well but the soldier got aggresive, poured water on her and started raining hurtful abuse on her.
She had been crying all day and was found later in the room hanging from the ceiling fan. She was rushed to the hospital with an ambulance. The camp cordinator have been trying to get the matter under control. No news about the female soldier.

toofit007:
your argument lacks foundation, just as you have rightly said.... your not Hausa nor Yoruba neither Igbo only God knows who you are, but I will begin to take you serious if you can help me answer this question. Before 1914 (amalgamation) who were you? if your answer is that your were not a "Nigerian", then I will ask you to go back to who you were. Nigeria is not a nation, she was the creation of a man called lord lugard. nation is not the creation of man, it is revolutionary in form. oduduwa republic is a nation (Yoruba), Arewa republic is a nation (Hausa) and Biafra republic is a nation (all people from old eastern region) . you don't force nationhood unto people it is by consensus and if my knowledge I have acquired all this while could serve me right then it is a fact that formation of Nigeria was never through a consensus. I have grown to understand that the centre can not hold again in Nigeria so it will be better for all to go back to how we were before 1914. don't go about telling me that obafemi awolowo, nnamdi azikiwe and tafawa balewa were there to represent each region. No! it is never done this are just merely 3 individuals and the mostly came into play during the sham independent they gave to the so called Nigerians and not during the amalgamation. for the avoidance of doubt, this is what a consensus means .... consensus

(noun (plural consensuses)
- A process of decision-making that seeks widespread agreement among group members.
- General agreement among the members of a given group or community, each of which exercises some discretion in decision-making and follow-up action.
- Average projected value, as in the finance term consensus forecast.
) and this is what a nation means..... ( nation

noun (plural nations)
- An historically constituted, stable community of people, formed on the basis of a common language, territory, economic life, ethnicity and/or psychological make-up manifested in a common culture
- (international) A sovereign state.
- (chiefly) An association of students based on their birthplace or ethnicity.
synonyms
- (an association of students) student nation

noun
- (rare) Damnation.

adverb
- (rare) Extremely; very
). I don't just engage people in an argument, but if I will do then I shall go into such arguments with facts and figures. in a country were some religion fanatics and lunatics will kill me because am a Christian, kill me because I urinated beside a building. No! I don't want them in my Country I don't need them. let them take their country Nigeria and let me go back to who I was before 1914 amalgamation. we are pursuing the restoration of Biafra and that we shall get, sooner or later. I and them are not one and we can never be one. it is Biafra or death, one out of the two must happen in this our restoration struggle. the first stanza of the biafra anthem has covered it all ( Land of the risen sun, we love and cherish,
Beloved homeland of our brave heroes;
We must defend our lives or we shall perish,
We shall protect our hearts from all our foes;
But if the PRICE is DEATH for all we hold dear,
Then let us DIE without a shred of FEAR).may God bless you sir, and all lovers of freedom world wide. shalom.
You sounded personal. Like I called you out. And you also misunderstood me. Read again and you will understand what I said. We didn't choose to be Nigerian, we were born into it. You were not born igbo but because your parents are. No nation on earth existed as it is now. Most were colonies. Various race have come and gone and some have spread around the globe. If Biafra wants to go on its own then let them. However this is an age were the international politics works is more complicated than ever before. No wonder the west is moving in the speed of light and we seem to be going back to the stone age. Yes Nigeria is a product of amalgamtion but The United States wasn't a unified country either. And Lord Luggard was able to to that because he represented the power of the British crown. No man can just amalgamate colonies. Azikivwe and co represented their regions and that has been how Nigerian politics have been working for over 60 years, regional politics. If it will prevent bloodshed then let Biafra go. Nobody need to die, not you, not the soldiers who would fight for the sovereignty of Nigeria and Biafra. If it happens then we're not worthy to be free men

This would be my first time I'll be commenting on anything Biafra. I don't understand why some of their supporters are always quick to throw insults and call names when this should be a forum to discuss this and plan ahead. I'm not saying the country should be unified still but if one side wants to seccede then let them do it democratically and with due procedures but is Biafra ready. Maybe for over 50 years you could say it is but are you ready to face the 21st century challenges? Countries are increasingly looking for ways to come together and it's now we want to break Biafra out? Borders and terrorism are on the rise more than the crusade years and we're straining our already fragile security? Britain,France,Belgium, Germany these were security powerhouse but seem to be crumbling under the weight of the 21st century and the rate at which the world is changing. Look at the EU, they've lost its major power house, Britain. In a time world leaders are clamoring for unity we're trying to break away. I've been to the east and frankly speaking I see no need for an independent state. Certain things would happen if Biafra split, they'll either become a zoo like their hero Nnamdi Kanu says or they'll join in the mediocrity of nations who have failed it's sovereign powers or become a war zone.
NB: I'm not Yoruba, I'm not Hause, I'm not an Igbo, I'm a Nigerian who've seen the failures of our fathers and leaders and hope the coming generation come together to make things work or finally collapse under the weight of ethnic wars.

1. mine was going everywhere with my mom, especially to work. I didn't have much friends as a child except in school. At home my mom and brother were my friends. She used to join us whenever she was free to play in the house. At work She would make sure we were studying while she's attending to her patients and would always buy us one thing or the other whenever she comes back to check on us. we were quite popular in the hospital she was working then, had so many doctor friends who were quite generous then with cash.

2. I had zero worries as a child, I miss this part a lot

3. loved Watching Godzilla and wrestling then on ITV, after every wrestling match my brother and I will turn our parlor into a play play boxing ring. But most times before the real play ends, we end up having a real fight and quarrel.

I could go on and on about my childhood, had a mom who would get me everything that could make me beautiful and neat and a dad that bought me story books a lot. Am still my parents child, happy Children's Day to me and every child out there
Godzilla and wrestling on ITV cheesy cheesy you forgot ghost busters and samurai X wink wink after school with my socks and dirty uniform would sit on the couch watching them and mom will come and chase us in but my dad would say she should leave us. I prefered watching wrestling on EBS. Seems you're in delta. Cos that was our dstv cheesy

If he started at Porto rather than City, by now, he'd be entering the EPL into Liverpool or Leicester or so, rather than what some may assume is a step-down to the hammers.

Nevertheless, great move. He will become the pointsman of a very decent West Ham team that already has a cohesive and creative midfield.

Best of luck to the lad. He's found his level. City was the wrong environment.
Very wrong move. He and De Bruyne humilated Man Utd at Old Trafford, he's scored in huge games. The move might affect his growth. But if he had been in a team that nurtures home grown talent he would've been top of his game by now. Teams like Man Utd, Arsenal and Southampton. Look at Rashford
