Mannyballs: Good day everyone, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I seriously need advice. I'm 31 this year and all I've got to show is a useless Waec certificate. I've got no Job or skills, I still live with my parents. I spent 8yrs in the university trying to get a degree, but failed woefully, it wasn't because of a lack of effort, I worked as hard as anyone else, but somehow all my efforts ended up in vain. I'm an introvert, I don't go out, so I find It difficult to mix up with people. I've been depressed for six months now, many times I question the point of my existence, I don't know what I want to do with my life, I can't seem to figure out what I'm good at or enjoy doing, I think I'm pretty much useless at this point. Also there's this feeling of fear and self doubt within me whenever the thought of trying out something new comes to my mind, i instantly dismiss it, because I don't think I'm capable of succeeding. I think I'm better off just ending it, I can't continue to live like this. Nairalanders please I need your advice. Are you still there? |

Realizing how childish and immature he had been, he was just apologizing upandan Doubt it well. Because it's reflecting on the quality of posts here. I wonder how people concluded on the intelligence, though. Once there's money involved, people lose their judgement. |

detectivejones: Women are easy to scam by these bandits in suits and robes, that is why the population of women in prayer houses and churches outnumber the men. It's easy to say they like going to churches, but you have decided to ignore the societal reasons why. With all the mockery Nigerian women face, why wouldn't they be in churches? When they are told they will be old and doomed if they aren't married by 26, why won't they be in churches trying to reverse it? Just the other day a 32 year old woman opened a thread because she was being pressured to marry a man she didn't love, by his pastor. Why do you think she was in a church in the first place? Her major concern was that she was at a "marriageable age". The snake used it as an opportunity to try and manipulate her into marrying a destroyed man by claiming he heard it from his god. Until the society of men stop pressuring women when their husbands are infertile, when they aren't married at 26, when they don't get children in their first year of marriage, it will continue. Women don't like churches, but I can see that Nigerian women are pushed into the places. |

Macphenson: I think they are. I innocently once dated a HIV positive girl and narrowly escaped being infected. Then I was in depression and she came to my rescue. She was so nice, loving and caring. When I was coming out of depression, we were already fuckn raw. I even was even planning on settling down with her since she was there for me in my challenging moment. She was so pretty, tall and fresh. Her plan was to infect me so that I can settle down with her.
One day, I came across her medications and googled it, only to find out its an anti retroviral drugs, with lots of immune boosters. I confronted her and she confessed. I broke down in tears and told her if I go for test and its positive, I will simply commit suicide.
I went for test at CDC in Yaba, it was negative. After three months I went back it was also negative. I tried about seven different hospitals and Labs, it cane out negative. Even when I travelled to east, I checked with several hospitals and lab it also came out negative. There was evwn a time I delibrately went to donate blood so that my blood will be thoroughly screened, the result also came out negative.
I explained my ordeal the doctor there and he was talking about people who are naturally immune to HIV. Selfishness on her part. But why didn't you think of using a condom? Lucky you. |

To think I was just showing my sister a video of them yesterday where Davido slept off while teaching Ifeanyi and we were laughing at Davido.
Who was with Ifeanyi when this thing happened? They should be interrogated seriously. I suspect fowl play. Im suspecting one of the baby Mama's planned with someone inside to carry out this job.
They felt threatened by Ifeanyis presence and had to take him out. With Ifeanyi out of the picture na, Davido will not marry Chioma again. Gosh!!!!
Who ever is behind this will not go unpunished. They are wasting their time. The marriage will still hold. Not just fowl play, milady. |

Figures he would fall back on his favorite activity. No wonder he's quiet. Always thought he was somewhere serious where someone might've taken it upon themselves to make him a shiv. |

1stGenAmerican: No, he doesn’t. In Federal prisons, prisoners don’t have access to cellphones and signals are usually blocked inside the prison. Everything is monitored and recorded, even landline phone calls. If the inmate is allowed Internet access at all, every key stroke is monitored which is how many people get implicated in crimes. How did the guy who claimed he was wrongfully arrested manage his feat? |

They are naturally curious and will always want to be in the pool, them like water die.
This death could have been avoided.
Me that has been shouting "swimming pool on the house" before I got married, now that I have my own child, I see why it's a bad idea.
You leave them for 5 mins and all your cream is all over the floor. There's nothing wrong with having a pool and children. We can't use one incident to taint something that is in almost every home with children. |

BreconHills: Have no idea how it happened. I tried to point out that pools need to be closed when not in use. If you are wealthy then an automatic cover should not be outside reach.
You are right. My friend lost a househelp like that. She stood in the shallow side and then slipped into the middle and she couldn't swim. Nigerians including the rich don't maintain their pools properly.
Of course we don't know what happened in this case but people should be aware that pools can be risky if some ground rules are not put in place.
May God comfort the parents. Sure. It's like the dbanj case. How can someone who can afford a pool not have a pool cover? Even we common folk know to cover it when we aren't using it, and when kids are around. Too bad for the house help. The boy isn't dead. Maybe it's bloggers at work. |
Celebrities › Re: Davido's Son, Ifeanyi Falls Into Swimming Pool, Rushed To The Hospital by BRATISLAVA: 7:13am On Nov 01, 2022 |
BreconHills: There are swimming pool covers ( automatic and manual) that you can cover a pool with. There are even very cheap ones on jumai gor less than 30k. I wonder why they are not used in Nigeria. Because even if you go into the shallow side and the pool has not been cleaned for a while, you can slide on the near invisible algae and find yourself at the bottom of the deeper middle of the pool.
Truly tragic. May God comfort them. Did his feet reach the bottom of the pool and he slipped in the pool? Pool should be cleaned a minimum of once a week. But Nigerians can keep filthy pools. |

Ayooade: Goodevening all, i have been wanting to get peoples opinion about something that has been bothering me. I am a lady in my early 30s, 32 to be precise. I have had like 3 relationships that failed. Among of them is a guy i dated for 6 years but later ended the relationship because i got a job and at the time but he didn't have a job, he ended the relationship due to some certain decisions he took. I am a kind of person that believe strongly in God and things of the spiritual, i later met a pastor guy that was assisting me in prayers but to my surprise this guy started telling me that God has told him to marry me. I told him immediately that i am not interested, i had a dream once about him where they showed him to me that he is my husband, i woke up and prayed against it. It was this time that i told him to stop any prayers he has been doing for me if his intentions was to marry me. I educated him of how marriages are crashing this days even the ones that loved themselves dearly, i also educated him about how wifes are killing husbands and husbands are killing wives but i think this guy has refused to listen. I got a call from his so called " spiritual father " sometimes last month and the man was telling me all the implications of not marrying him that if i want my journey to be fast in life then its him that i should marry. I immediately told the spiritual father that its not possible and I won't marry someone i am not emotionally attached to, I'd rather remain single all my life than go into a marriage that i know won't last 6 month all in the name of God told me to marry him. I know there are people who are wiser than me concerning marriage issues, i know there are people who have been in the same issue as i am now, please how do you pple cope, is there a punishment when you don't marry who God wants you to marry? How am i sure its not this guy that's messing in my head? For the fact that i am in my marriageable age doesn't mean i should push mysef into what I don't want. I am sorry for the long epistle There's nothing called a "marriageable age". You get married when you can/will and to whom you please. You're being blackmailed into marriage. Seems you're one of those people who are constantly in churches listening to the words dripping from the fangs of the venomous snakes known as pastors. |

No wonder there's so much antibiotic resistance. I thought Nigerians produced organic meat and that's why there were herdsmen attacks nationwide, only to realize their chickens are feasting on treatments all day.
