I know. I don't think anybody can dislike El'rufai as much as I do! But the situation back then was quite different. Do you honestly believe negotiating with the kidnappers will not give more bandits the impetus to go for their own 'share?' PS: I went to the home of a brother to one of the kidnapped today. I never knew it until after his mum called. Among other things, She swore she would rather have her kidnapped son dead than pay any ransome to 'help' fund criminality, Because the kidnappers may still kill them eitherways.

it scares me because rivalry between siblings is always dangerous. Mostly ends up into bitter enmity. It is easier to hate a former lover with a passion than to hate an acquintance. Besides, the three major ethnic groups each contributes a major chunk to Nigeria's cultural identity. Having one out of the nation is gonna inflict a huge blow to our identities. Also, what happens to all the friendships I'd developed over the years. Another reason: Once the Igbos are gone, the muslim north's clear monopoly on power is gonna be even worse than it is right now. And for us, the minorities, it is gonna be a living hell.

How many nigerian parents can pay such for state schools . If this trend is allowed to continue everyone will be schooling in their states or have saved crazy money to send their wards to state schools in other states.

1: The OP was actually trying to point out that nothing about the school buildings justifys the fee increase.
2: the increase is not only for non-indegenes. For social sciences it is from 21k 120K for indegenes and 150k for non-indegenes. While for medical sciences it is from 29k to something around 380k to 450k respectively.
