Blackface made 2Face what he is today – Eedris Abdulkareem
Controversial Nigerian singer, Eedris Abdulkareem, has claimed that his colleague, 2Face, otherwise known as 2Baba, owes most of his career successes to his former bandmate, Blackface.
He said Blackface was the leader of the defunct Plantashun Boiz that brought 2Baba to the spotlight.
The veteran singer appeared as a guest in the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast co-hosted by actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, aka Nedu, Deity Cole, and Husband Material.
Speaking in Pidgin, Abdulkareem said, “Most of the things wey 2face be today, na Blackface make am happen.”
DAILY POST recalls that Blackface, 2Baba then known as 2Face, and Faze were once members of a band called Plantashun Boiz. The band defunct after they split, launching their respective solo careers.
Blackface had in several interviews accused 2Face of being responsible for their split. He also accused 2Face of stealing his hit song, ‘African Queen’ from him.
I wonder why Blackface is the least successful of the defunct Plantashun Boiz. Blackface would have channeled his energy towards building his solo career by composing good songs and getting a good producer to promote his songs just like Faze did instead of accusing tu baba of stealing ‘African Queen’ from him. Success has many fathers but failure is an orphan.
BucketMan: Hello guys, please I need your advice. I'm currently in a dilemma on what to do with my life presently. I'm a lawyer called to the bar in December 2022. Afterwards I practiced in a law firm for 6 months before resigning due to the meagre salary and harsh work environment. I just couldn't keep up, Although I can confirm that legal practice was very terrific but it's something that you can only enjoy if you're well paid at the Law firm or company you work with to effectively maintain the standard expected from you.
I've been jobless for 8 months now as all the efforts I put into securing a job ended in futility. I'm thinking of going for my masters degree(LLM) instead of staying idle at home with my parents. I think by doing this I can keep myself busy and improve on my career academically while also trying to find a good job in today's Nigeria.
Serious advice needed please
You could go for your LLM if the cash is available.

President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Russian scientists were close to launching vaccines for cancer that could soon be available to patients.
Putin said in televised comments that "we have come very close to the creation of so-called cancer vaccines and immunomodulatory drugs of a new generation".
"I hope that soon they will be effectively used as methods of individual therapy," he added, speaking at a Moscow forum on future technologies.
Putin did not specify which types of cancer the proposed vaccines would target, nor how.
A number of countries and companies are working on cancer vaccines. Last year the UK government signed an agreement with Germany-based BioNTech to launch clinical trials providing "personalized cancer treatments", aiming to reach 10,000 patients by 2030.
Pharmaceutical companies Moderna and Merck & Co are developing an experimental cancer vaccine that a mid-stage study showed cut the chance of recurrence or death from melanoma - the most deadly skin cancer - by half after three years of treatment.
There are currently six licensed vaccines against human papillomaviruses (HPV) that cause many cancers, including cervical cancer, according to the World Health Organization, as well as vaccines against hepatitis B (HBV), which can lead to liver cancer.
During the coronavirus pandemic, Russia developed its own Sputnik V vaccine against COVID-19 and sold it to a number of countries, although domestically it ran up against widespread public reluctance to get vaccinated.
Putin himself said he had taken Sputnik, in a bid to assure people of its efficacy and safety.

drimzsmoke: My elder sister always complain each time I'm seated this way, she says it's a sitting posture for gay men. Some weeks back, we had a meeting at work. Where I was seated in the conference room, a lady worked up to me and asked why I was seated that way. I went online and downloaded this image from the godfather movie and showed it to her. So seriously, is this sitting posture gay-like
Abeg tell your sister that the sitting position is "Don Corleone - like" and not gay-like.
Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Kaisha has opened a provision warehouse.
But this has got BBNaija fans divided. While some are mocking her for doing a legitimate business which they think is 'below her status', others have defended the ex BBN star.
"Seriously?😳 Shaming her for a multi million naira business? With warehouses fully packed and these are daily consumptions….. The people shaming her must be dreaming. They think success is only linked to suit and tie🤦♀️"- HGI SERVICES came to Kaisha's defence.
Kaisha was one of the contestants in the BIg Brother Naija 2020 'Lockcown' season.
There is nothing wrong in setting up a provision store. It shows that Kaisha is an entrepreneur. Thumbs up to her.
3 years ago, my dad sold our house without informing anyone of us. Meanwhile, we all had things left at home, including my mum's items. He never told us where some of those things are till date.
He sold that house and went to the village, he immediately started having issues with the village people. Fight today, fight tomorrow. Everyone in the village I heard now disrespect him due to how he reveal his secrets to anyone who cares to listen.
My dad wants to leave the village to go rent an apartment in another state. His financial responsibility has been on me alone. My siblings abandoned him.
He's being nursing the idea of leaving the village and never informed me. Last november I spent almost 2 million naira fixing solar power and inverter for him in his house at the village and immediately after that he started saying he wants to leave the village..
I told my dad never to relocate to the village yet, that he should wait till his is older as he is still agile and all his friends are in the state where we lived or around. He also gets contracts once in a while so I don't bear much financial burden. But no, he failed to listen and sold our house and left.
My dad wants me to cough out another 1M to rent a house, he wants it big, 3 bedroom. I told him to look for a 2 bedroom but he said where would visitors stay.
I am not even comfortable seeing him in a rented apartment, what would my cousins say, they would mock us. I have some of them who are very naughty. He is bringing shame in us.
We have two properties and my husband wants him to come and stay in one, I vehemently disagreed because he will be controlling us, some of my extended family members will come visiting him and carry the news to the village, as well as discussing my own family and I don't want that. They contributed to what is happening to him now. Through him, some of them will come to stay and I can not start what I can't continue with. So I told my husband to dead that idea fast.
He wants to leave the village latest by February. How do I convince him to get a 2 bedroom flat? 3 bedroom would mean 3 mattresses, and everything triple. My dad doesn't like anything less. All the expenses will be on me alone. My siblings don't care.
I can't turn deaf ears to his needs. I don't want him in the village and I hate to see him in a rented apartment but that is what it is now.
I need contructive advice especially those of us with retired parents, how do you relate with their needs? I told him to think of a small trade so he won't be idle like he's been since retirement and he is talking about setting up electrical pole business, I laughed. Sebi he wan rek me. Same way he did not manage hid wealth.
You father should remain in the village. Why would he sell a whole house and then relocate to the village ? What did he do with the money realized from selling his house ?
Elzazzi: I will try and make this brief and please ignore the errors.
I was with my close friend yesterday evening. While we were chilling together, a call came in on his phone. it was his cousin that called telling what had happened and also seeking his advice. Now this is what happened, this his cousin has been dating this lady for about a year I think and he has already proposed to her and even took her to his parents and siblings. He also visited the lady family and did some introduction. Now April this year has been chosen for the wedding ceremony proper and a date has been fixed. This is where trouble started.
My friend cousin created a WhatsApp group for his wedding ceremony, he added all his friends and some of his classmates to this group so they can join hands and make his wedding day memorable. He posted his wedding IV to the group and some pictures of him and the lady, one of his old time classmate recognized her and immediately called him for a private meeting for urgent discussions.
He visited him the next day and this guy told him everything about his fiancée. How she used to be a stripper in Lagos clubs years back and how he and his friends had wild 3some with her. She used to base in Lagos as a call girl but relocated to Abuja and that’s where she met my friend cousin. After all these revelation this guy was in deep pain as he had already gone far with the weeding preparations. Of course his old time classmate advised him not to marry her, but this guy loves her so much and he is in a big dilemma of what to do next. As he thinking of leaving the country and go start life with her elsewhere.
Can such past truly be overlooked?
After my friend explained everything to me, I was just short of words but of course I advised he shouldn’t marry her. What advice would you give him in such a situation my fellow Nlanders ?
Let him or her that is without sin cast the first stone. Every one has a past life. Even the guy that had a three some with her is not Saint Micheal and he is not better than her.
If the lady has forsaken her old ways and turned a new leaf, then your friend can go ahead and settle down with her. Some ex-strippers do get married and remain happy ever after. At times, strippers who turn a new leaf are loyal and are home makers.
Testiebobo: As a visitor, if you taste my stew ehh i swear you will vomit fire like a dragon! Because my stew is as pepperish as a raw chilly pepper. Even the little time i usually spend with my family they know the uniqueness of my culinary skills. I am actually allergic to some foods like dairy products e.g milk yoghurt etc all types of fish except the extremely dried one are digusting to my taste, i hate custard, kunu aya, spaghetti except the peppered jollof. So i dont understand why i need to consume foods added with extreme peppers and other hot spices. Is it a health problem or a natural occurence? Because i sweat alot these days! Some people said there are plenty worms in my stomach. Huhmm!
Hope you drink water as much as you consume pepper🌶️ ?

The story is as an unfortunate one. The level of hardship in the country is such one cannot afford to loose N100,000 to a fraudstar not to talk of loosing as much as 12.5 million naira just like that
