Xscape1993: Any living being still supporting the evil party call APC deserves death sentence by hanging. Are political parties human? People can be evil...not parties. The irony of what you said is: 1. The party you called evil built the 2nd Niger Bridge after more than 40 years of back and forth. 2. The same party fixed the Warri-Itakpe Railway after more than three decades of promises. 3. It resuscitated more than 30 fertilizer blending plants across the country. 4. Fixed the single carriageway of the dual carriage Enugu-Awka-Onitsha Expressway. The list is lengthy.... So, I don't really get what you meant calling a party evil... |

Godoverevery: Am currently in a relationship with a 31yr old lady for about 2 month now. She want to buy iPhone 12pro max and she doesn't have the total money. She has being complaining about how her phone (techno phantom) isn't good enough for pictures and videos bla bla bla from the time we met.
In my last relationship I actually helped my ex get iPhone Xsmas, she didn't have the total money aswell and I added about 55k to get it for her which I later regret with every blood in me and now the same scenario is happening again.
I actually advise her to get a lesser iPhone which her money can buy but she is adamant she want iPhone 12promax just to show off to other ladies in her office.
She expecting me to help her get the phone and add the remaining balance. From my calculations she is about 70k-80k short of the money to get the phone and honestly I don't have a dime to give cos only a foolish idiot will make the same mistake thrice.
She emotionally blackmailing me and I can't take it anymore.......at 31yrs I expect more understanding and more important priorities. My brother, leave that lady and face your front. At 31, she should be talking something more beneficial to you both. |

FreeStuffsNG: Hmmm. I actually thought it was named after HE Obaino, his predecessor, who toiled very hard to bring this his legacy project to fruition.
Except if Late Prof Achebe is from same place as Obaino, this doesn't look fair and politically correct especially among the kinsmen of Obaino who, for political and strategic reasons, located the airport in his own constituency.
I will not be surprised if this new name doesn't stand and may be changed later.
Soludo should build a legacy project and name it after late Prof. This one should be used to honor Obaino. He seems to be focusing on less important priorities like renaming.
Build great legacy project and name it after Achebe, simple. Check my signature for free stuffs!

Crime › Re: Police Anti-Cult Operatives Chase 17-Year-Old Boy To Death In Delta by CoolAmbience(m): 7:29am On Sep 28, 2023 |
NoahHadNoArk: Say No to police brutality and harassment This is indeed a good cause, we all must say no to brutality in any form, not just by policemen but also by civilians against themselves in the forms of bullying, lack of accountability, rascality, irresponsibility etc. When people are elected into public office and all they do is enrich themselves with our common patrimony, isn't that beyond brutality? For me, I won't entirely call this particular occurrence police brutality. Why were the young men running upon sighting the policemen? Should all young Nigerians start to run whenever they sight policemen? The death was as a result of their attempt to run away. Or are we saying that security operatives can't chase suspected criminals? Does this not happen all over the world? Why were the policemen arrested? I see no justification for their arrest? Why would any normal person come out from a Chemist shop and start running upon sighting security operatives? Would it not amount to negligence of duty if the policemen didn't react by chasing them? Please, except if there are other details of the incident that we are not privy to, otherwise those officers should be released immediately. Just two days ago, there were strong air military raids on target hideouts somewhere in Okigwe, Imo state and Orsumoghu, Anambra state that resulted in deaths. These were a direct reaction to the killing of security operatives and burning down of two trucks by hoodlums that happened in Imo state last week, should those officers that carried out the raids be arrested to? Security operatives have a job to do and we must let the do their job. By this analogy, I am only trying to establish the scientific theory of action and reaction. A run would likely lead to a chase. In this same vein, an action of heinous killing ( or confrontation against a sovereign state) would naturally attract a strong military reaction like a raid. The simple question is why did the boys run upon seeing security operatives? Were they killed by gunshots from the policemen? We must all take the issue of abuse of hard drugs by young men seriously, and stop being overly protective of wrong and criminality. This is not to say that our security operatives are all saints, and shouldn't be called to order when they get excessive. |

Oxb90: As long as innocent people are not killed or injured, I am satisfied. The Nigerian security men I know will label anybody they killed in this exercise as ESN or IPOB. Your point about not hurting innocent persons is valid. However, I often have issues with such remarks. First, the military raids were carried out on target known notorious hideouts and not in the open towns and streets, hence your advice seems misplaced. Another angle is that, we do not see many of comments like yours when these hoodlums attacks innocent security operatives, market women, other harmless citizens and burn down public institutions. While it is very important that such military raids are properly scrutinized, we must also be mindful so as not to be seen as being sympathetic to criminality. |

CoolAmbience: Ibori's influence has waned significantly, though he is making frantic efforts for a rebound.
We all saw how Okowa upstaged him to install Oborevwori as Governor after an earlier knockout in the primary election, which his protege, Edevbie, lost.
His daughter's (Mrs Ibori-Suenu) election into the NASS was a really tough one as she almost could not make it. The election was declared inconclusive until somehow she emerged.
He also lost the PDP state chairmanship tussle to Okowa's candidate, Esiso, as his man, Atose, was trounced.
Even though I am not from the Southsouth, I can emphatically say that both men did more harm than good to their region. The word influence shouldn't even be associated with any of them. They knew nothing about leadership. I have been visiting, and have lived in nearly all parts of the Southsouth for close to two decades.
While Jonathan couldn't fix the East-West Road in 6 years, or accomplish the NLNG train 7 project or the Bonny-Bodo Bridge project, Warri-Itakpe Railway, Ogbia Regional Water project, 2nd Niger Bridge, among others; Ibori was more preoccupied with governing his native Oghara town and thieving mindlessly.
One was a gentle thief and grossly bereft, while the other was a bold and reckless thief. Ibori invested billions building a Teaching Hospital for his then yet-to-completed Western Delta University whereas the state-owned Delta State University, which taught Medicine & Surgery didn't have a Teaching Hospital. This isn't a subject for any debate. I said it here months before the election. Obi lost a significant amount of votes in muslim dominated states, which are in excess of ten states ( and this is likely to repeat for as many times as the election is conducted). Obi was also expected to share votes, favourably, with Tinubu as Southerners. There was also the big factor of Tinubu's wife being a Christian, a clergy and a member of one of the largest pentecostal churches in the world. Most votes Obi hoped to get were traditional PDP votes which he had to work hard to pouch. So, when people say Obi won, I just look at them and sigh. |

Infact, in this past election, the tribunal ruled against a lawmaker from the North for not having duly resigned his appointment as a lecturer at BUK before contesting the election. The was filed by a member of another political party. So, there have also been precedences in the contrary. |
