It's really sad what has happened to your sister. But firstly I put the fault at the door of your father. He didn't make the right decisions. I'm sure he's one of those people who think being strict with his children is the best way to raise them. I'm sure his eyes don clear now. He needs to grow up and start taking the right decisions starting with welcoming your sister back and offering her a good support system.

Your sister on the other hand needs to pick herself back up. It's not going to be easy, but the earlier the better. She's still young at 21 and this is the time to do it. By the time she's 30 and she hasn't achieved much, she'll look back and regret not making healthy decisions. At this stage it won't even matter whether she's married to the guy, enjoying a blissful marriage or not, or raising a child. Nothing would matter. Time would be far too gone by 30 and picking herself up at that time will not be an easy thing. There have been multiple cases like this and most of it ended up bad. It'll be incredibly surprising if she turns out to be an exception. That won't happen.

Please I have an urgent question to ask concerning my sisters traveling to Canada for her studies in Canada in which she has gotten her visa and booked her flight for departure this week.

The question now is, her school is to resume by April/may this year 2022, she had written her Canadian school severally for them to adjust her resumption date to January or February but she didn't get any reply from them. She has gotten a Canadian visa since last year 2021 December.

Now, can anything affect her flight ticked she purchased from traveling knowing fully well that her school resumption time is April/may?

Please I need someone or persons with experience to clarify me on this situation, to avoid issues?

They won't allow her enter Canada if her school resumes in April and she arrives at the border in January. Whether she will be allowed in is at the total discretion of the border officer. Let her stay back in Nigeria, reschedule her flight, and go back in two months.

Congrats to everyone who has gotten their PPR and COPR. Please note the following.

Driving is not a luxury in �� Canada, it is a double necessity. So before you leave Naija, get your International Drivers license, it will help for your first 3 months or till you are able to get your drivers licence here.

Also get the drivers test handbook, begin to study it just like you did for IELT (I have attached a copy here for you). All those our driving in naija no be am. There are apps in your app store to also help you.

When you arrive / land Canada, you should write the test and once you are successful (score 25 out of 30). You will be eligible for a learners license or permit. With this permit you will be able to drive (with a full license holder seated beside you while driving). Also you will be able to exchange your Nigerian driver license (make sure it is not fake) and be giving the privilege of applying for a full licence. In Alberta it is called class 5 Advance and Ontario it is called G.

Passing the road test is not often Child’s play. But you can pass both knowledge test and road test once. (To God be praised, I did).

For those in Alberta and around Calgary, I will be willing to help you pass the road test, you can get in touch.

Good post and nice initiative to help others with the road test. However, I have to say that driving is not a necessity. I don't know why nearly every Nigerian keeps saying this once they are in Canada. There are numerous Canadians who don't even have a bicycle, let alone a car. For those with bicycles, it works just as well in summer times. And if you are living very close to work (which is very possible), the subway may be all you need in some cities like Edmonton or Toronto. I know people who have lived for years in Canada and have never had a car. These days, people have been working from home, making having a car totally unnecessary.

i've been living under the fear of having a heart problem for more than five years, but my people refused that i should go for scan probably because of fear that it might be true, and there won't be money to care/treat it..

Why are you afraid of the truth? Don't you realize that what will happen will happen? Is it not better to know what exactly is happening to you and whether it is even possible to quickly remedy it? The longer you wait, the more dangerous it becomes. Have you even thought of that? Go for a scan immediately and don't delay it further.
