I quoted someone's comment(he suggested Ladies should not leave their kinds with the Man).

I simply disagreed with him stating that it holds true if the father is irresponsible, being that i grew up with my father. And i added that even though i got a very good treatment,its still best if the mothers are in the picture.

Mismanagement of resources, bad leadership and extreme corruption makes the citizens live in poverty and the country not-so-developed.
For the records,Nigeria is wealthier than alot of the so called developed countries,but the difference is that they put their minimal resources into good use and appear better than Nigeria and we dont.



Maybe you should remind yourself how many barrels of crude oil that country produces everyday and countries that depend on it.(just crude oil,not talking about other possible and untapped sources of income)

I lived with my father,left my mum @ age 4 because i was very fond of my father.Since they lived in different cities, the option was i go live with my Dad and visit my Mum during short Holidays.
He treated me like a Queen, gave me the best he could ever afford.I got the best my other siblings never got.

Although the importance of a mother in a child's life cannot be overemphasized. Even with the loads of care and special attention i got from my Dad,at some point in my Life i still feel miserable and sad for not having bonded with my mum as a child(esp. a female) should.and yes i never stop blaming her for letting me take such decision at a very tender age,nothing can ever take the place of motherly love.

Mothers should never live apart from their children for any reasons,esp. for a long period of time. I for one cannot do that, the thought alone is....

I think you should continue with your present course of study,and then take the DE route when you roundoff. This might be a better option since you didn't sit for UTME this year.(you made a mistake not writing the UTME in the first place).

Why? because you will be in 300l during the next admission session and will have just one year or so left to graduate.In My Opinion, leaving 300l to start afresh is a waste of time and resources.(it would have been an easier decision to make if you hadnt gone in for anatomy already).

By 23+ you would have been done with your first degree, then you can go in for Medicine.(double achievement thats if the passion remains.

I got to Uni.7Yrs after High School.(wrote jamb for 5 consecutive times,got good scores too). I survived it, you too can.

At the beginning of this month I was recently in a place enclosed with glass and was telling a young girl that was leaning heavily on the glass wall to desist from that as she can fall if the glass gives way and her mother was busy telling me that she cannot fall. There are some things we make use of and put too much trust on like machines, structures etc without having second thoughts behind our head that we may be in danger while making use of such. Better not to be trusting with some of these things.
If I am the one living in a glass house, I will never be caught leaning on it because I would have thought that it is possible that it can give way. I guess the families of these couple may want to sue the builder but then houses/structures gets old and weaken besides we humans are imperfect beings as to get everything perfect to the teeth. I sympathise with this painful loss of lives.

Seriously most houses in china are made of glass windows from top to bottom,even with the incredible height of the houses.No protectors around.

I can't imagine how jobless one can get as to fabricate senseless stories

talking about medical apps, android really has good ones. in addition to medscape you can download the app "on exam" this one helped me prepare for finals. its grouped according to systems basically showing you pointers on how to take a structured history, physical exams following IPPA and specific tests you might want to do according to that system. Also contains many clinical signs and practical steps to two eliciting them. Those in fourth year starting clinicals will particularly find it useful.

Another one to get is called "medical doctor". importantly it has lung and heart sounds you can play . both normal and abnormal. it can help you identify fine crepitations, coarse creps, rhonci, wheezes, split heart sounds, and various heart mummurs.

Those of you still in the struggle wish you best of luck. one day it'll all be over . its not all about being intelligent, many intelligent people have failed out, you also have to be wise.

Whatever you do just know the basics and know what you're supposed to know. don't go start reading mega stuffs to show off at the expense of the basic stuff you should know. You will be forgiven if you don't know about Meigs syndrome but no examiner will forgive you if you don't know basic stuff about hernia, intestinal obstruction, acute abdomen or appendicitis.

One other thing, get close to repeat students. They have valuable experience that can help you and usually have some very useful materials. that's one tip I learnt back then.

4words: I want to disagree with this saying "if he cheat with you, he will also cheat on you", its not always like that. Its obvious you love this dude and you'v not been able to replace him, his divorce with his wife has nothing to do with you, probably they were never meant to be. Because I believe if the guy had come to nairaland with his matrimonial problems and the mistake he made by getting married to his wife, we would still be the one advising him to get a divorce (though I am not in support of the fact that he cheated on his wife, he should have gotten the divorce before he started dating you)... A divorced person has every right to seek love and compatibility where he/she finds it. This being said;

Since your feelings still runs, I will advise that you should be very careful with the relationship he is asking for, ask him to spell out exactly what he wants from you, spell out what you want from him, if agreed fine, if not, my dear stay clear him.
