Music/Radio › Re: Where Are These Nigerian Musicians? (Pictures) by deavicky(m): 1:24pm On Nov 05, 2014 |
They are gone for there real calling AndyBoomba: NOTABLES:
By matter of fact, it would be grossly erring to have put these carefully selected names as part of the above listed because their contributions in the industry have been of particular value adding input to it’s growth. Regardless, for some, it is out sincere wish that the hands of time could be turned back to the time when they ruled the streets and frequency waves with their hits while others, we pray consistency on their behalf.
1. Chuddy K: The Gaga Crazy crooner who once defended allegations pertaining to his sexuality previously had music stints with acapella groups, one of which included Wande Coal as lead vocalist. It was this prelude to his debut single released in 2011 that bagged him the award for Best Street Pop at the 2012 Headies. Chuddy K has maintained fame with other hits Shampoo, Brazilian Hair, Rambo and Ima Bom to mention a few.
2. Rayce: Believe it, Rayce has been in the business of music since 2002. His hit single Roll took a bit of time to grow on fans before attaining the ‘smash’ status. Roll showed Rayce’s impressive music intellect, a feat that bagged him a top spot on the best singles of 2011 list compiled by top Nigerian bloggers (us included). Since then he’s kept afloat with Jack Sparrow, Tested Ok, Just Like That, Igbedu, We Dem Boys and more recently, Gbunmadun.
3. Weird MC: Ogun-native, Adesola Adesimbo Idowu aka Weird MC gave Nigerian hip-hop a new status with her Don Jazzy and JJC-produced single, Ijoya off her second studio album, After Da Storm. Sola never backed down on her dreams even when her parents put forth heavy opposition to her ambitions in the showbusiness.
4. Kel:Remember the chart-topping single, Waa Wa Alright? Kelechi Ohia a.k.a Kel was the femcee behind it. Doing an impressive 16bars on a track wasn’t the only feat she achieved, the cataclysmic reception her jam got, earned her a couple nominations and awards for the year her song was under review… and to think she only got involved with rap for want of a hobby.

Romance › Re: Funny Thing(s) You Did Because A Girl Says 'No' by deavicky(m): 8:41am On Nov 05, 2014 |
msmon: It's not a gain saying that guys can be very funny when a lady they love keep saying 'NO'.
I have a lady friend(just friend) whom a guy was really in love with but she keep turning the guy down. The guy try so hard and did everything to impress my friend but she keep turning him down, so I decide to talk to her 3 days ago that I hope she won't lose the guy who truly love her because that's what I noticed from the guy.
In her response, she told me she's trying to find a place in her heart for him but it's just impossible, she explained that she detest him because he's trying to hard and even go to the extent of crying in a public place.
On a personal note, I have cried as well because 'she' said NO to me but not in a public place (never will that happen).
Here are some of the funny things I see guys do if a lady they truly love keeps saying 'NO'.
CRY: Either privately or in public. REPORT TO HER FRIEND: a guy will talk to her friend to assist in wooing her. FEAR HER: Because he doesn't what to do anything that will further create hatred
So guys, what is that funny thing you did because she keeps saying NO?
Ladies on the tried should share with us what funny thing they notice guys do when they keep saying NO.
Let's go there! how old are u? |

uboma: The Nigerian Police Force has advised all residents and visitors to Lagos be wary of these locations to avoid falling victims to violent crimes.
I dont reside in Lagos so i dont even know most of these places. However for the residents in Lagos, please contribute by listing out the areas that are mostly and less prone to robbery attack and possibly safe alternative routes one can take to his destination.
1. Estate bus stop at Ketu-Alapere: Attacks are carried-out both day and night
2. Berger bus stop (along OPIC - Ibad Expressway): Criminals attack victims with guns on the long bridge and in traffic jams
3. First Gate junction - Agidingbi: Robbery point
4. Boundary bus stop in Ajegunle: Popularly referred to as the 'one million boys' gang territory where criminals attack passengers in vehicles
5. Ijora bus stop: Notorious spot for gang-rape; abduction in buses (popularly known as 'one chance',
6. Mile 2 Oke: Hammers, knives, guns are used to rob motorists in traffic jam
7. Church bus stop - Agboju Mile 2 (Badagry expressway): Haven for street urchins
8. Agric bus stop - Mile 2: Notorious area for buried arms that are used for robbery operations in the area
9. Abulosu bus stop along Mile 2 - Badagry expressway: Drivers conspire with thugs to attack victims
10. Apongbon bus stop: Hotbed of 'one-chance' bus attacks
11. School bus stop, along Mba - Mile 2 road in Ajegunle: Use of jack-knives and other weapons on victims
12. Bamboo area along Oworonsoki - Ibadan Expressway: a dangerous spot about 100 meters from Alapere Housing Estate Bus stop
Please try as much as possible to avoid all the bus stops listed above when you can. If you find yourself around any of these bus stops, ensure the following:
* If you are a passenger or driving your own vehicle, stay alert and do not display priced possessions - mobile phones and devices; jewelry; cash.
* Wind-up your windows and remain alert when driving.
* Drive faster in these areas but please consider your safety and the safety of other road- users by keeping to speed limits.
Safe driving to everyone in Lagos (both visitors anr residents). with all this bus stops mentioned, it's like no bus stop is safe in lagos |

Tomis14: [quoute]Joy Williams, 23, from Thamesmead, was described as a 'caring and funny' girl who was 'loved by everybody.
She died on October 23 after travelling to Bangkok to have £2,000 buttock augmentation surgery.
Speaking yesterday from his home in Lagos, Nigeria, Miss Williams's older brother Anietie, 28, said he had been looking forward to her visiting him in Nigeria this Christmas. He said: 'We don't really know what went wrong, we only know what is in reports in the media. 'She was a beautiful girl, loved by everybody. We will miss her so much.'
He added that the family were still making preparations to bring Miss Williams's body home and that his brother was planning to fly to Thailand and return to London with it.
Miss Williams, who was born in Lagos, settled in Thamesmead with her mother Christie in 2007 and had been to Thailand twice before choosing to visit for surgery.
She initially visited the SP clinic, which she found on the internet, on October 14 to have the operation which she hoped would give her a bigger, fuller bottom. A few days later her wounds became infected and she returned to have corrective surgery to remove the silicon implants.
The doctor who carried out the procedure, Sompob Sansiri, 51, was later arrested and accused of negligence after it was found that he had been carrying out night-time surgery without a licence. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2813420/Pictured-British-woman-died-Thailand-buttock-surgery-brother-reveals-family-don-t-know-went-wrong.html Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook she no die well she for die again. KingEbukasBlog: Superstar actress Genevieve Nnaji poured it all out in “The Truth” chat with Olisa Adibua on her love life and past relationship . The 35 year old actress revealed about her first love , her present relationship status and described her ideal guy . Read all of it below :
About her first love He was a very, very, handsome man. A long time ago, very handsome man, trust me.
Let’s talk about relationships – are you currently in one? Are you looking at settling down at some point? I know you’ve heard that question a lot of times but tell us the truth now.
I think everyone is prioritizing and so am I. It’s not like I don’t want to settle down, want somebody and until I find that person, there’s no thoughts of me settling down. I’m not looking, I’m a woman, we are not allowed to look.
When was the last time you had a boyfriend… do you have one now? I don’t have a boyfriend now.
Ok, so what are you looking for in a man? Your ideal guy, what are you looking for in a man?
I am that person that eats with her eyes, like I need to be attracted to you. Definitely. There has to be physical attraction that will draw me to you but at the end of the day, it’s your mind I’m going to fall in love with. I’m probably looking for a friend, someone who shares a like mind amd somebody who is confident. Aww, I love tall guys. I’m short you have to think of the kids.
Don’t you think a lot of guys are scared of you now?
They will say she is good looking, successful, she’s got her own career, let me leave her alone, I can’t handle that kind of wife. I can’t tell her what to do. Then he is a baby, a boy. I’m not looking for a boy. Men don’t let artificial things like that intimidate them.

Romance › Re: Dating A Broke Guy(my Experience); Is It Worth It? by deavicky(m): 12:41am On Oct 02, 2014 |
OlamiB: I Just don't know why broke guys wants to have a girlfriend too, before you start complaning let me quickly tell you am actually dating one
Guys jump into conclusion that girls don't want to date a broke guy simply because he has nothing to offer financially, but this is not true in all cases, a girl that loves you sees you in her future like her husband. She wants the best for you cos she sees you in her future, a girl can date a broke guy but no girl will intentionally marry a broke man.
I love my broke boyfriend because firstly am not dating him for financial reason and 2ndly because I see a bright future in him, but one thing remain, I can't marry him if he continues being broke.
I have stopped condemning girls that doesn't settle for less, there are so many disadvantages of dating a broke guy namely:
*talk about a boring relationship; when your female friends are going places with their rich bf, you are just there lying on his bed staring at each other's faces in his heated room.
*your friends will not respect him; by the time your female friends get to know about his brokeness the respect will just not be there anymore, girls love each other and they want the best for each other.
*he will always disgrace you; yes! This is most annoying, a little amount of money will cause fight between you two, imagine asking your broke boyfriend to at least present himself in a wealthy way to impress your female friends by buying provision or something for them will make him tear you apart.
*he commands too much respect; this is funny, even rich guys that can afford to buy expensive things for their woman doesn't command as much as him, I guess this is done so you won't disregard him.
*he will naturally look stingy to you ; imagine asking your broke boyfriend to help you with #500 when he himself already has a plan for the only #1000 left with him, this is ridiculous because by the time he decides to impress you with 2000# you won't just be feeling him anymore.
This is just a few of what I can remember now, guys should note that their being financially okay brings a kind of hapiness to their girlfriend/fiancé not only because of what they will enjoy from you but because they see their dream being fufilled through you, you live in the best house, drive the best car and all tell me if ur partner won't be proud to show you off.
I love my baby very much but as little as 100# can cause a misunderstanding btw us. God knows the kind of joy that will fill my heart the day he will be financially ok.
'it takes a real woman to date a broke guy and help him fufil his dream'
All this is written from the sadness of my heart.
I guess some guys don't understand me, I am only asking the guys to be rich for their own good not because of a leech girlfriend/fiance. Nigerian men are quick to insult any girl that comes here to talk about money in a relationship. I am not after my Boyfriend's money or anything, his happiness is mine also and I know he will be happy by the time he is financially ok to cater for all his own needs and beyond.
If you become financially successful it is your name that will be known not your wife's name talkless of a girlfriend, that is why I used Dangote and ADenuga as example...how often do you guys hear of Mrs dangote or Mrs adenuga? Is it as often as both men? NO! And in case the woman is as sucessful as the likes of omotola jalade, ngozi iweala their man is as successful as them.if u no like broke guy try rich guy make u see watin we dey take girls that are after wealth do maybe that will encourage u stay with him. |
