It can be difficult to find on the aisle sometimes. I can bet that I have bought soap before thinking it was body lotion. cheesy
The shelf arrangements need to be looked into in some of these stores. Check Savers, lots of varieties at decent prices.
I can relate to this o. Happened to me once. I bought soap thinking it was lotion. Skin was getting dry and scally. Till I complained to my colleague, she looked at it and laughed at me. I had been using soap for cream.

This was in cameroon so the label was in French and the soap looked like cream.

Out of curiousity, will our naija shea butter or locally made coconut oil work?
I do not know about that one o. The aveeno was recommended by a naija GP when we took him to the GP for dry skin and some skin reaction. Very visible improvements since we started using it.

Have people forgotten that Sterling used to be in Liverpool. He left Liverpool and has won how many premier leagues with Man City and was maybe until now (i dont know Guardiola's plans and black players) a key player for them and the English national team

@ newbie715, @Divine88

thats great, but not all workplaces are open minded, at my former place of work 3 months before expiry they had already started to hound me for the visa extension by expiry date else contract termination.

I had another opportunity which i was totally qualified for 3 months to the expiry of my brp but speaking to the recruiter, she would not put me forward again for said reason.

For peace of mind if you have the cash, do a priority application if you can.

Hi, can someone please confirm this for me.
Hubby brp is due to expire on 4th jan, so we have applied and have appt om 4th jan.
One is his egencies for work has told him they can't book him shifts from the 4th even after we have sent proof of appt.

was any1 here stopped from working whilst you waited for the new application to be completed? i searched online and saw a section 3c that basically states he can work whilst waiting a decision

anyone experienced same?
In another thread it was mentioned about how lots of hr in the UK are ignorant about immigration rules. If you have an application in you are still in status until your application has been decided. A couple of people between this post and yours have posted the link on how to check for status but these guys can be ignorant and still see the date on your current brp as the cut off date for you. All you can do is try to educate them about this but I don't think there is anything you can do if they remain adamant.

If you can afford it go the super priority route where you get your decision the next working day £800 o think it costs or the priority route in 3 working days for £300 if I am correct. Its also difficult getting something new with an expired brp

So I heard there are some unis offering to pay the £2585 for students just to “lure” them to their side
maybe they had calculated revenue and projected that students might defer admission because of the fees or seek alternative elsewhere. They probably decided half bread is better than chinchin since their cost will probably be the same. Who knows how they will collect this money back from the student.

How about those who can not afford it? How about those who has a place to quarantine but was forced to pay £2585 in 10days and at the end test negative?

People who have tested negative 48/24hrs before arriving or 2days after arriving should not be forced to pay that stupid money.

You decided to come to the UK after the rule was introduced then it’s your problem, pay whatever you are asked to pay because you knew the consequences of your trip but for those who got caught out while away should be allowed to quarantine in their homes.

I planned to go through out countries not in red list but I have changed my mind. We will sort ourselves out at Heathrow airport when I get there because that money is not coming out of my bank account.
ghen ghen!!!!

Do not try this if you do not have a red or blue or what color is the passport these days?

@ayinke93,

I can relate with your post, the biscuit and energy drink part made me laugh.

A tip I got from someone is don't spend too Mytchett time at a go looking at your screen, take a break after say 1.5hrs and do something physical for maybe 30 minutes or has helped me a bit. If nothing is entering don't force it, it will only lead to headache. Can't count the number of times I have doubted myself but will try not to quit.

The journey is long and hard but keep focused on your goals.

If Western nations all join forces and refused to buy Russian Gas, believe me that will not even bother Russia a bid BECAUSE only China alone can keep Russian economy steady by buying all their oil and gas reserves for next 100 years.
Chinese economy, industrialization and production capacity is bigger than all the western Nations put together.
Europe will freeze to death. We are complaining of gas prices now at all time highs, gas will literally become gold.

Thanks my brother. I saw one on gumtree now. The
Asian guy said I can come for viewing this morning. Please, how do I know is not scam?
You guys need to be careful with all these rental agencies/ads on all these platforms. There was this article sometime ago or was it on the news can't remember now, how people were scammed in Glasgow.

They will ask you to come for viewings and you will think they are genuine because they have access to the property when they also rent the apartment on Airbnb and other short-let platforms. And the presenter said these scams are difficult to detect. Of you can avoid gumtree et Al and go for recognised estate agencies.

ImpactBooks:
Hello NLds!

I have been a family member of this group to years and what I have found most interesting about this forum is it's educative and/or enlightenment opportunity it offers.

Yesterday, a thread was opened which discussed the way and manner Immigrants are being extorted, most especially, at the Lagos and Abuja International Airports. One cogent thing that I learnt about the thread is that the first-time travellers are more evenurable to the Airport Officials illegal activities even though some argued that giving anything to these officials is by choice ESPECIALLY WHERE IMMIGRANTS TRAVELING DOCUMENTS ARE VALID AND COMPLETE.

This is where I need your guidance.

I will be travelling out of the country for the very first time by next month. Therefore, I need guidance on two things:

1. For someone that is travelling on invitation base on medical ground, what are the valid travelling documents that the person needs to have to make it COMPLETE? This information is needed in ensuring that my travelling agents did a thorough job regarding my travelling papers.

2. I have taken my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and my second dose is scheduled for 19th of this month. Once these doses are taken, do I still need to take another vaccine before my departure again or I only need to do another COVID-19 test? If it is the latter, between what Internal/period do I need to do the test, where and at what cost?

Thanks as I await your guidance.

Blessings
Most importantly DO NOT COLLECT ANYTHING OR CARRY ANYTHING FOR ANYBODY EVEN IF THE PERSON IS YOUR FATHER IN THE LORD

So because you never enter international flight you are not entitled to your own opinion right, that line is not needed, everyone is learning weather you have entered flight or not
Everyone is entitled to their opinions and they are taken and well respected in this thread. You do not agree, state your opinion and move on. Live and let live. You are quick to try to defend him but don't see you calling him out for saying someone is unwise.

The people who know and have lived in the UK are giving their experiences for free here. Some of the things Ticha has given to us here you pay thousands of pounds just to hear.

I know what's possible in real estate in the Uk, i have done a bit myself even these days when it is even a lot more expensive not to talk of years ago when she started. That property he posted at £800k , 10 years ago could have osted £300k and you do not need to fork out 300k to buy. There was a time in the UK you could buy property without having to put down a deposit. So potentially you could have bought that flat for nothing and be up £500k in profit over the period.

Let's be quick to hear and slow to respond. Nobody is obligated to reply anybody here. I believe in people respecting one another even if it is afaceless forum.
