To all those saying "It's a scam", " how much was Paul paid", I can only wish you well. I'm currently helping to manage a COVID patient and I know several people who have been affected. Apart from those who are lucky to have mild attacks and the asymptomatic ones (high risk people to others), it's not a palatable experience.
Stay safe at all cost. |

Hmmm! This reminds me of the visit of the Pope to Nigeria during the Gen. Sanni Abacha era.
Father Kukah actually said nothing new. The Sultan of Sokoto and many others have said the same thing in different ways.
What is required is a genuine review of our circumstances towards a meaningful resolution. People are really tired of the insecurity and hardship especially. |

Sebastine1994: When half of my neighbors have travelled, I am now left alone in the compound. every year it is only me who remains back, I am ashamed. I can't go home. I offended my family so much.
I was deported from South Africa for drug trafficking, my father spent all his life saving to send me abroad, I went there to do drugs,
Now I have my freedom, but my heart remains in chain, seeing my family struggling financially because of me and the failed investment on me. I am depressed because of this.
I can't call them, I don't know what to do. I may take my life if the emotional torture becomes much. There's nothing new under the heavens. Let them know your situation and be ready to work to recover all they have lost. Many have towed that path and are successful today. Find something to do, no matter how lowly. Rebuild yourself to reprogram your life. Learn a vocation if you can't immediately go back to school. There are some NGOs and government owned centres that can be of help to you. If you're religious, find out opportunities available through the Church or Mosque. It's just a bustop in your life. Everyone has a past. Move on to greater things by God's grace. |

Ibadan is a very large city. As a traveller, you're not likely to pass through the modern, beautiful layouts.
When next you visit, let someone who knows the city well take you round. Most residents don't even know all areas.
Olashore International School at Iloko is close to Ijebu Jesa too. A very good school indeed. |

Some of us don't even know the difference between bone straight, Brazilian, Peruvian etc. Congrats to her and hubby who is obviously comfortable enough to afford it. For the struggling youth.....My old school mind often wonders how people spend so much money on stuff like that and still complain about the economy. Some people have phones and hair that have values that's sufficient to start a small scale business yet they're searching for jobs or looking for sponsors to set them up in business. It's time to be smarter in our decision making process. |

Politics › Re: Dapo Ojora's Family Announces Funeral Arrangements by delpee(f): 8:57am On Dec 18, 2020 |
zoedew: All these for a suicide! The society increasingly should discourage folks from going that way by denying such folks funeral rites that celebrate their lives lived in a manner that brought pain to others and cowardly too! Judas Iscariot is a clear example. Suicides are responsible for their actions and not anyone else! Stop passing the buck. Stop rewarding the memory of suicides. Wake up and smell the coffee. A cowardly disposition to not take responsibility for one’s action and seek the help of GOD for a way out is at the very causative root of suicide. No one alive lives without a challenge or the other. Everyone does. The suicide gives up and thinks of himself alone only to bring a stain on the family. From now on no one wise will marry into his family without serious caution! Amunibuni omo! The Police say they have their suspicions. Some people have been arrested and investigation is ongoing. I remember the case of the man who was said to have died from a lone boat accident only for the Police to find out that he was killed by some clients. Also the Parkview case that was blamed on the wife only to find out that he was killed by his househelp. Let's wait for the outcome of investigations. May his soul rest in peace. |
