Hmmm! I just heard that someone died of COVID 19 in Ibadan. I don't know if it's included in the data posted.

A doctor said to have treated the Lekki protest gunshot victims also died recently according to reports. Apparently, few tests are being carried out so we may not have the true picture. Please be careful. Mask up and stay safe.

Due to their backward cultural norms of seeing women as lesser humans, you should by all means stay away from marrying from igbo land, if you are a yoruba woman. They treat their kind as trash let alone one ofem.man,u(sic).
Let's consider the fact that not all Igbos will do this. Even the Uncle spoke up for them. Bad people will always find a reason to mess up. It's not necessarily a tribal issue.

The conventional print media has always been biased against the North and Muslims in General, and this hasn't changed with the news media.

Hausa Muslims were killed in oyigbo but there is no outrage.
The killers are the IPOB terrorists, & those that championed the Endsars protest on social media are deliberately not interested in these killings because those Nigerians killed are the Hausa Muslims.

Our rich/Elites must necessarily invest in media, nobody will tell your story if you don’t tell them yourselves, even if they do, they’ll never do justice to you.

Until the lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will glorify the hunter”.

Thank God for social media
Wow! This is most disheartening. Killing innocent traders who are just striving to make a living for themselves. To achieve what purpose really since this has no bearing with EndSARS.

Aljanah firdaus to them.
Great pity!

EDITED
Seems there are doubts about the authenticity of the post afterall. Still I recall that Gov. Wike banned IPOB. May peace reign in Oyigbo going forward.

That's wonderful! A great morale booster for the Police. They deserve to be well catered for. The families will heave sighs of relief knowing that there's hope for the future.

A wise move by our Governor indeed. We really need the Police back at work soonest. Lessons learnt on all sides. We look forward to reorientation of the Police to be more focused, humane and diligent.

We know each other personally and he has no blood relation to Edo's. His father is one Samson Yomi Osewa who owns one top tier school- ambassadors college, and he's no Edo man.
Mr Samson Yomi Osewa is an alumnus of OAU Ife. The Ambassadors College is a very good school. I think it's recognised by the British Council.
Seun looks like him albeit slimmer. Intelligence and diligence flows in the blood. smiley

Thanks for submission but I do have some posers for u.

1. Why were the military not directed to areas where looting and arson were committed?

2. Why choose Lekki that has been acknowledged to peaceful?

3. Did the governor know the military were heading the tollgate?

We patiently await the outcome of the inquiry, pray it be independent.

But something looks pretty obvious, the action was perhaps taken to dismantle the recognised intelligentsia arm of the of the struggle and regain control of the tollgate where the emperor had been losing millions.

Time shall tell.
The true story will be revealed no matter how long it takes.

That is no reason to shoot directly at protesters in my humble opinion. Someone being shot in the chest area creates an impression. If you're invited to maintain peace and enforce a curfew, bullets should be the last on the consideration list of the rules of engagement.

The sight of a military truck full of soldiers is enough to make most people scamper for safety anyway. Unfortunately, the Governor has no control over the rules of engagement. Besides, the shooting happened before the curfew commenced.

I wish that the youth had listened to wise counsel for them to retreat and restrategise once the FG accepted their request. Sometimes you have to retreat to fight greater battles and win the war.

Yorubas say "moja, mosa la fi nmo akinkanju ogun". (Not sure I got it perfectly right.)

I don't understand why anyone is paying attention to this clown. The sad thing is that those who think his sense of reasoning is okay will assume he's speaking for the Yorubas. He's very much on his own causing trouble from far away UK. Restraining myself from being abusive.. angry

I will always have 100% respect and love for a man who makes mistakes, and acknowledges his mistakes and works hard or makes honest attempts to rectify or fix the consequences of those mistakes. Sometimes our greatest mistakes are INACTIONS. But the actions taken these past 48 hours has proven that Sanwo Olu is a real man. We may not agree on every issue or LASG policy but I have 100% respect and love for Governor Sanwo Olu. His heart is clean. May God continue to bless your Excellency, Sanwo Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State with more wisdom, health and positive ideas to move Lagos forward and greater, and may God continue to have mercy on me.
Amen! I believe he's doing his best under the circumstances. The looters and arsonists have made things more difficult for us all. More unemployment, more transport problems, more capital expenses that may impinge on funds for other critical areas like health and education. We just got into a bigger mess because some people chose to reason foolishly by cutting off their noses to spite their faces.
Lagos will rise again!

Mheen! Even looting the government items or properties isn't a good act! Why?
When they are done looting government properties, they will come for the common man's own which we are already experiencing.
Also, common man might have to start from zero level which you and i don't pray for. So, it's necessary we condemn every looting acts. I come in peace!
Let's hope people understand this. It's amazing that some people are justifying the daylight robbery and destruction going on. Sadly, everyone will partake in the aftermath one way or the other.

any Yoruba or non Igbo ladies that marry Igbo man, married future disaster even their ladies are now running away from all those uncivilized monkeey, na to abuse other tribe them sabi whereas their inhumane and godforsaken region need both spiritual and psychological cleansing

Igbo are kind of tribe that are full of themselves, they believe they're better than you because of their ritual money whereas they're empty in all areas

Igbo as a tribe is a cursed to humanity, as it is today my woman were forced to child labour outside of her region when her late parents died, just because they're all ladies, all their father's land shared by their dad brothers and family and the kids were abandoned

the woman that brought her to Lagos for child labour eventually do her a favour though because she fell in the hand of good Yoruba parents who adopted her and sponsored her from primary school to tertiary

going to pay her bride price in East, these fools that abandoned them still come outside to collect bride price. Igbo people are shameless
Even if your story is absolutely true, you shouldn't generalize. Igbos can't all be same. Other tribes are mixed bags too.

Why should anyone attack RRS officers ? They've been fair in their dealings with the public as far as I know. They're also better equipped and probably well renumerated by LASG.

The protesters need to restrategise quickly before the bad guys take over.

false claim my foot. I refer you to same Internet and search where Femi Hamzat, the deputy governor of lagos claimed the protester killed in surulere was a hoodlum who was repelled by the police...a reckless, false comment from a supposed leader. After the reactions and backlash, in their usual damage control, they ate their vomit and sanwoolu visited the family of the killed protester yesterday. Gone are the days when their deceits would hold water. Una eyes go soon clear
Probably based on information available to them at that time. They investigated and have now done the right thing.

May God comfort the family as his soul rests in peace.
