CFCfan: Lol. The conveyor belt sounds like a generator? That's too sad.Honestly, it was so loud that in terms of HSE, people around should have some kind of ear protection. Now imagine having 9 working like that. It was embarrassing to say the least. Annoying thing is u end up spending so much time around the silly thing cos ur baggage probably won't come up early. |
CFCfan: When the remodeling work is complete, the international terminal would have a total of 9 baggage carousels/conveyor belts.I hope these conveyor systems won't be sounding like lister diesel generators like the current one when they finish sir. Having 9 systems running like the current one may make one think the aircraft landed in a production factory instead of an airport. |
That place isn't worth being called an airport in this time and age. All these fake cosmetic renovations they keep doing on it won't change it from a land strip that it is ![]() I wonder when we will wake up and face reality ![]() |
A white version of Fadeyi Oloro *just joking* |

boleswagg: Pls is it true nigeria to qatar visa is banned? This has been answered over and over again. What else do u want to hear? Caution is the word for u |
boleswagg: thanks but can a nigeria travel to qatar from ghana or london i mean travelling to ghana first and then from there obtain qatar visa?U are still a Nigerian. Coming from Ghana or the U.K doesn't change anything |
boleswagg: Pls my question is i heard qatar visa has been banned from nigerians for a year which lapses last month, has the ban been lifted or not please? i need a quick response or was i been lied to thanksThe ban is still in place on fresh Nigerian visas. U can decide urself if u are being lied to ![]() |
Hmm...this write up is making me dread my trip home already. I wonder why we can't just get our acts together in Nigeria. It's so unfortunate that after our trips from different airports from around the world, the place we dread most is where we call home. IMO, it's not even worth being called an airport. I see it as a landing strip. @ OP Please, is it more convenient to use a taxi from the airport than having a private car brought down there? It sounds like it will be hellish to get to the private car park with my luggage going by your story. Thanks |
Ogakpatakpata, so u are now a "bad guy". If only we all could see ourselves...hmm... ![]() |
This is for everyone living in Qatar or planning to come over. This message has been going round "IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO THE NIGERIAN COMMUNITY IN QATAR The Embassy of Nigeria in the State of Qatar has been very concerned about the high rate of joblessness within the Nigerian community. The lack of employment is directly due to the work visa racket, which has resulted in an increase in crime rate being perpetuated by Nigerians here in Qatar. In order to resolve these issues, the Embassy met with relevant Qatari Authorities at the highest level to discuss these challenges At the meeting, the Qatari Authorities equally expressed serious concern about the aforementioned issues and are considering to assist in Job Placements (where available); help in Sponsorship Transfers; and support in Repatriation back to Nigeria for those that don’t have the required skills to work here. It is important to emphasize that this assistance (arrangement) is only available for those Nigerians currently unemployed. Based on the outcome of the meeting, NIDO, Qatar wish to inform the concerned people of the under listed: • That unemployed Nigerians in Qatar should visit the Embassy during the official working hours (from 9am-12noon) to register and submit copies of biodata page of their Passports, Resident Permits and other relevant documents. • That people that have issues regarding sponsorship transfer should equally register. • That people that are unemployed and are willing to go back to Nigeria should register to receive repatriation support (if possible) from the Qatari government. • That the above is only applicable to Nigerians in Qatar as of December 31, 2013. • That the compiled list will be forwarded to the relevant Qatari authorities for consideration. • That the Qatari government has resolved to be very tough on crime. Meanwhile, the NIDO-Qatar Executives wish to appeal to the affected people to avail themselves of this opportunity. The Nigerian community here in Qatar has been highly regarded and respected until recently and the organisation is always ready to help within its capability. Godfrey Awinoron Gen. Sec. NIDO-Qatar" But from what I've heard, those that went there were arrested. I don't know how true it is but from what has been happening some days back, it's possible. Learnt some Nigerians had a brawl with some police officers, beating him (or them) up. Since then, they've been looking out for blacks especially Nigerians. The code now is any Nigerian found anytime beyond 10p.m gets arrested immediately and whisked to the deportation camp. Extra caution is needed now. A word as they say is enough for the wise. |

Trust u are fine@ Henricar Lol. I pity u o. What if any of the girls he leaving back reads that comment of urs. What do u think they will do? @ hynex79 Yes sir. Ur phone is an original Samsung phone but it's different from the AT&Ts, T-Mobile and other carrier versions in America. What u have is an international version and that's why it's called the type meant for Africa. Now the point is that what they produce for Africa and many international markets are different from what those carriers have. I know it may quite hard to believe but that is the truth. That doesn't mean ur phone is a fake. It's just the internals are slightly different and have less build quality than the American versions. Let me give u some examples. Some Galaxy S2s in America have very obvious differences from what was sold internationally. They were bigger, had more buttons and the T-mobile version even had a 1.5ghz processor (quite similar to the S3) instead of the regular 1.2ghz processor the regular versions had. Also, these versions had NFC and 4G capabilities which was not available for international versions. U can do a quick search with these names Galaxy S2 Skyrocket (AT&T) and Galaxy S2 Titian (T-Mobile). As at the time the Americans were using these phones, many countries didn't even have the structure to use the phone well. China itself has just started installing 4G last year or thereabouts. Another example is the S3. The American versions have 2gb ram which is more than what others have. Galaxy Note 2 from America has 4G amongst other things that the international versions don't have. Even the European versions are not that loaded but they have exactly the same look. Don't mean to burst ur bubble. Just trying to explain the differences. ![]() |
ogakpatakpata: .Okay...I've heard u. Keep.drinking frozen palm wine. I believe there are so many great things ahead of us in the new year |
Happy new year to everyone in here. I can't list everyone but we know ourselves. I pray that the new year bring us and our families unlimited blessings, joy and gladness in GOD's name. Amen Ogakpatakpata This new year shouldn't u have added 'no drinking of palm wine' to ur list of new year resolutions? ![]() @ Justi4jesu Welcome to the new year ma'am |
ewizard1: Phones Manufactured to be sold in the US/UK is on standard than what is shipped into Nigeria...Nicely said. People think it's cos u can't afford the new ones. The phone companies are not fools. What someone in America pays for a phone is very different from what they do in Nigeria. Same company can produce the same phone with different build quality. It's not really rocket science to understand this |
Worwor: new phones are also shipped to Nigeria same way with U.S/U.K used phones. So, I don't understand your point.Yes that's true. The internals are sometimes different and the build quality is different from what they bring to Nigeria. I know how hard it may be to understand this but that's the truth. New phones in America isn't always the same with new phones in Nigeria. ![]() |
kayswag100: Sir, I totally disagree with u. How on God's earth would u dare to say 'sometyms a used lasts longer than new' ? On what f&*ing basis?Sir, if u are into phones very well, u will know that phones from U.S and U.K usually have better specs and build quality than what they sell as originals in Nigeria. So many people are ignorant of this but that's the reality. People who know this truth will usually opt for a U.S/U.K used than get the original from Nigeria. ![]() |
This thread won't wound me ![]() @ Ogakpatakpata u are getting the concept of the yam wrong. It should be the other way round. The male's family doesn't collect from female's family. Oh I see. I think I know why u are mixing it up. Confess o. Do u have an Indian wife? ![]() |
ogakpatakpata: .Fine sir. Stuck with work as usual. > ![]() |
Ogakpatakpata, I don't have any family in Dubai. What are u talking about? Better take plenty water ![]() |
@ Ogakpatakpata Bigm just described u in a way that made me laugh. U know what that means right? ![]() |
@ Ogakpatakpata What are u waiting for? U go wait tire o ![]() @ Henrimoto and Namq Abeg what is going on here? Maybe I should call oga Justwise before u guys start talking of weed in here ![]() @ Bigm Congratulations. Welcome to the Gulf region. May GOD bless ur sojourn in a foreign land |
FBI/CIA:Oga olopa, u are so on point sir ![]() |
Arabs guys know how to enjoy their money. Quite similar to what I see in a secondary school parking lot almost opposite my house. I avoid the road like a plague if I have to walk around their closing time. |
Ogarj: A Frnd ws Denied Visa 2 Dubia cuz of his age(1989) n nw he's tinkin of goin 2 malaysia, spend 1 week den apply 4 a Dubia Visa. Plz house is dis Advisable n hw much wil it cost(ticket) 4rm malaysia to Dubia. Tnx in AnticipationThere's no sense in going to Malaysia first just to enter Dubai. It's a complete waste of every resources involved. @ Henrimoto I know u are joking but in reality, there are several Nigerians who earn more than that here in Qatar As for people asking questions about Qatar visa, it has been stated clearly before that the visa for Nigerians has been suspended for some time but with the right links and contacts, it's not impossible to get. It therefore costs more. Let it also be known clearly that if u don't have at least 1million naira to spend, don't even bother asking questions about Qatar for now. |
*singing Fela's song* "...them bring sorrow, tears and blood. Them regular trademark. Them bring sorrow, tears and blood. Them regular trademark. Everything scatter scatter! Tera! Someone nearly die. Tera! Someone just die. Tera! Police dey come, army dey come. Tera!..." ![]() |
U are getting the whole thing wrong Ogakpatakpata. I'm not involved in any collection of yams. Hopefully, someone that understands the whole concept will explain to u ![]() |
