Yes, I have been placed on the bed and examined several times by pressing my abdomen to feel where the pain comes from.

But it's not really from one place. It's just like touching a part of pot on fire to check where is hot. My whole stomach hurts.

Then if sonography found nothing it's then time to bring in the big guns and try a CT with contrast media. That could give a definitive answer to Ur query.

But also note that while still looking for answers and taking advices of people here as regards yoghurt and what not their are other forms of things that could cause abdominal pain that one may not see on CT or US. Then again anything that could cause pain when a clinician applies pressure on the abdomen should and could be detected by conventional means of examination.

I was actually referring to the bladder and not kidney. Otherwise I would have called them kidney stones. Ultrasound can show bladder stones but CT is better for very tiny ones.

Otherwise I think there are some palpation tests the clinician is supposed to do before it gets to all the scanning. And then treat with some analgesic injections (if it's nerve related)

This is more like excluding other possibilities than looking for something in particular

Yes I do agree the physician must have to examine and exclude before even a CT is done as regards disc prolapses and what not.
But as regards Stones (Kidney, Ureter and Bladder) the CT definitely has sufficient role to play for very small stones. Funny enof some centres still do normal plain x-ray +/- dye injection (IVP). It depends on who u ask cos every hospital have their own method.

I think everything you wrote there is the plain truth and I can relate to them. The whole preaching about Germany economy etc, which is true but not the nitty gritty of the matter. You first of all have to really belong before you open mouth to talk about how good they are, I think in economy only. Canada has her pros too which you quite listed, the very pertinent areas that is really weighty.

And have you eaten live yoghurt culture to get your gut flora back to normal after all those antibiotics?

CT is only good for bones and stones. Anyone that tells u he was able to sufficiently see the nerve in CT must be a magician.
US should only be able to pick up stones in the Gall bladder and not the kidneys. Pls let's form the habit of confirming things before we post.

This thread is depressing, esp when u consider that doctors in Nigeria have to work without resources, equipments and pay.
I have had to assist an operations with Touchlight from my fone, it took the nurses over 30 mins to acquire a kerosene Lamp from the nearest ward and then after a while rechargeable Lamp. By the time the generator was put on the operation was over, I was just closing up the patient sweating everywhere and all over the patient.
Nigerian doctors have gall and for that, they have my respect.
I do understand all Ur reasons though and can only sigh cos it's situation that bends crayfish.
But let not what I wrote above make u hesitate from telling us more, we need to know these things.
That said, I won't be replying any comments or making any more on this issue or others. I will just continue reading comments. Cheers!!

Hallo peeps, have been reading all Ur stories, advices and comments. Have also seen how u guys encourage urselves, Nigerians u guys rock esp the ones that have focus.
Now to my question. I intend to visit Canada with my family of 5 (we have 3 children under 7) and would like to know any nice places one can go to, see and have fun. My Wife and children want to see Canada so I promised them we would go there but my own personal reason for wanting to go is not just to visit.
I am looking for possible school options for my son who has autism spectrum and I am curious to know what options are on ground in Canada. If I like those options for my son, then I may consider emigrating in the near future but not now, as I am happy where I am.

NB: I would like to add that we don't need to apply for a visa to visit and we can stay in Canada for up to 90 days every year if we choose to visit which by the way we have no intention of doing, cos I have to return to work since I am only taking 2 weeks of leave.

No on the contrary, I left her. I allowed her those liberties cos I needed a live in person to take care of the house, only selfish reasons on my part. At that time I was hoping a girlfriend one could upgrade in the future would be the best line of action. Anyways when she showed her streaks I let her have her liberties till it was time to replace her. I just packed her stuffs and sent it to her workplace via a friend's taxi service with a note never to comeback to that house. I Don bleep up brothers, how do I handle this situation I'm loosing weight very fast, this idiot I call a friend yesterday told me he wants to come to my place, we were very close in place of business but I don't know much about him aside business so I allowed him to visit, he was there in my house and told me he was going to sleep over I told him its OK.

As I was going out that evening, he later called me that a girl was coming to see him, I was stunned but didn't say a word. I just felt he should enjoy himself and that would be the last, to my surprise when I came back yesterday I saw two big plastic bags containing clothes from dry cleaner in my bedroom after, he wasn't around at that moment.

As I was still trying to understand the motive, the guy pressed the door bell, I opened and he went to lay on my bed, i slept on the living room last night, this morning he left before I woke up with the clothes still in my bed room. I told myself I will talk to him this evening but I was still looking for the polite way to talk to him, then my phone rang again this evening that he is coming, I said OK that's fine hoping to talk to him no matter how hard it is (I am a very quiet type) then he did come till few minutes ago.

He was banging on the gate and that is a big taboo in our compound because the key to the pedestrians gate was given to everyone in my compound so you can always lock the gate after you leave but this fool was banging at the gate like its a ghetto area. Everyone at the compound was already peeping at their window to know what's happening when I went to the gate to open it for him, to my greatest shock there was this razz tattooed lady with him, obviously a prostitute coming inside the compound with him. I was dumbfounded as I noticed people looking from their corridors.

I felt the ground should open and swallow me because it was unbearable, I was just recovering from the shock, this idiot got to my door instead of removing his shoes on the corridor he walked into my living room with his shoes on (Jesus) I couldn't bear that I told him remove his shoes because we joked a lot he retorted that I shouldn't talk to my boss in that manner again (thinking I was in for his jokes)

As I am typing this now, I'm laying on the living room and he is inside my bedroom on my bed with a prostitute. (I have only entertained a female visitor once in my house and I have never had sex with anyone on my bed) now this is what I get.

I am just a good guy to a fault (that's what I think) otherwise I couldn't let this guy inside my house, also he has a business that he said he wants to sell because he plans relocating to asaba to his family and I want to buy the business, I don't want him to feel I'm chasing him though that's what he deserves but I need smart ways to bid him farewell..
