The kind of dilemma one has when married to a hubby like mine. He doesn't want to go thru the stress of studying for ielts of having to process transcript. He graduated 1998.....
Hope you now understand my predicament
EE is still your best bet. It's less stressful than study permit and gives you everything you want.

You can put things in motion and then involve him when the time is right. A friend did exactly that and now the hubby is the one pushing for them to cross the next step.

Wish you all the best

Why not try doing express entry? You seem to have everything to qualify so why go for another masters when you have one already?

Good evening
Please I also want to submit my medicals along with the fees payment. This is because Abuja clinics has been having issues with their network in uploading medical results on CIC platform.
Any recommendations, please I’m open to more suggestions. Thanks.
This is just my opinion but you're seemingly sounding desperate now. You didn't pay your fees before applying and didn't do medicals as well but now want to add it midway through. Can you see how it looks?

Let the gurus comment too!

I repeat, many online June applicants are still awaiting decisions. infact, some May applicants are also expectant. Without a concise number of people whobhave who have applied and the number of those rejected or approved, I don't think you can make that claim!

I agree to this, this is related to what i said some days back, most June applicants have gotten their final decision but they are silent maybe cos their final decision wasnt favourable, hence the reason for the silence. Cos like we all know July applicants are already getting final decisions not to talk of June. Maybe refusals are more than approvals thats why June applciants have been silent. For those still expecting a final decision, it shall end in praise.
Not true! There are many June online applicants that haven't heard from CIC yet. Even many more who are silent. Don't take silence as confirmation or rejection.

Hello house!!! Please, I am having a mix up concerning my application. I got the biometrics collection letter on 22nd June and went for biometrics capturing on 29th June at the Lagos visa office. Few days later, it was indicated that I have 'completed' biometrics. But I just logged into my account to realize my biometrics status has changed to 'We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.'

Please, gurus in the house, has anyone had a similar experience? How did you tackle it?
Please read a few pages back. It seems to be the general update everyone got!

Good morning house, my interview is in Abuja next Monday and I'm so nervous. I have been rejected once in 2016 when I applied for a regular tourist visa with hubby.
My main concern now is, I and hubby were able to get an appointment date together on same day. But he is suggesting we go separately to be interviewed as we went together last time and we were rejected.
I'm a little skeptical about it.
He has been to the US twice in the past, I haven't. He is also my sponsor for the trip.
How do I answer questions like "does your husband have a valid US visa?" And " will he be traveling with you?"
I'm just confused and don't want to say anything that'll make my story seem fabricated.
NB- We just got back from a 2week vacation to the UK last week.
I NEED MORE ADVICE FROM YOU GUYS .
thank you.
I do not see any reason for the two of you applying separately. It raises more questions than it addresses. We're also about honesty here and have seen people who have had previous refusals being granted visas once all requirements have been met. Plan well get all your required documents and you and your husband will be fine.

The problem i have with your comment is you are wrong, but you no wan gree. lol

It's okay bro, the guy will sort the problem asap and he will do it himself.

Cheers mate
Actually Harde, he is right! The old passport (not visa/s) will be cancelled without prejudice. That doesn't invalidate the visas contained therein. Only thing is that it's the new passport that will be stamped going forward.

Hello my good people. I've been following this thread for days now and thanks to all the contributors for sharing your tips and transcripts. (Agents for use me buy land). Please how do you apply for an expedited B2 for birth. And can I apply for a B2 while DH applies for a B1/B2. I do have a B1/B2 meant for vacation. I would risk it but with a change of intent letter but I'm afraid of POE people after reading what happened to that lady here. EDD is mid October but I need to travel way ahead of the EDD because of the nature of my pregnancy. Thanks in advance.
Your B1/B2 visa, was it used for its intended purpose ie visit? If yes, then send a change of intent to fulfil all righteousness. However if you were pregnant when you applied and you were asked if you were pregnant and you didn't disclose it, you might have some issues when renewing.

First of all get all your correspondence and yhe funds needed then take it from there!

Abuja will be a good option. From what people say here, no crowd at all, walk in and do your thing and leave. For Lagos, you definitely wont be able to do your biometrics the same day, you first come to book an appointment and if you are late you might get an appointment for a 2days after date, if early, the next day. Plus there is always a crowd at Lagos vfs office. So, from this, which do you think is better?
Since you applied online and are doing just your biometrics you don't have to book to do your biometrics in Lagos. Just get there early and you'll be fine. I did mine in less than 2 hours in June!

hi NL, please does anyone have details on how Washington dulles airport POE is for 36weeks pregnancy
Dulles airport is quite calm. When we used it my wife was heavy and we applied for a wheelchair which fast tracked our interview as we were moved to the front of the line. We went for secondary interview where our bags were checked but nothing seized and our monies were declared. Took about 45 mins to clear immigration

Good morning house. I would like to know what the order of steps after submission either online or paper route are.

After submission, I guess biometrics is first. What are the other steps after that? Thanks as you enlighten us!

These reports weren't just click bait as major media houses have been the one reporting jobs creation backed up by statistics, including the same Washington post you used as a reference in one of your post above. You might want to google reports on job creation in the US.

Except major media houses like the washington post, reuters, cbc, bbc, financial times e.t.c are all ignorant.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/wonk/wp/2018/05/04/unemployment-is-headed-for-historic-lows-economists-say/?noredirect=on

And the original post was not about Obama though. I don't think Obama was the president of the USA 17years or 40 years ago. Just talking about the trump effect in Canada mentioned in an earlier post.
Trump to me is riding on the back of the foundations laid by Obama. The numbers he is achieving took almost 10 years to get. Another factor is that the economy has highs and lows. Obama took over in a period of lows, he resumed on a high.

His current policy of fighting with friends and courting adversaries might end up biting him. Add to this his misogynistic, sexist, nepotic and racial views and the fact that Democrats who didn't come out to vote are gearing up to do so will make the mid terms something to watch

Please i need help oooo, can someone with experience reply me oooo.

Hi everyone, i need your candid advise, i got my visa sept.05, took in towards 3rd week of Oct. Now i am 15wks gone. I and DH had wanted to spend xmass there but his brother made us cancel it when he informed us that he will be returning to Naija for xmass though he never returned afterwards.
Can i use the visa for child birthing as i wasn't pregnant when i went for interview and can prove it?
If it is possible, what and what do i need to put on ground before embarking on
My understanding of what the VO and CBP officers look out for is that you use the visa for what you said it was intended for which was to visit. Now you intend to birth with it and many have successfully gone on to do so(with or without a change of intent letter) but have had sad experiences when renewing. If you can afford to visit as intended earlier, by all means do so to stand a better stand at renewal.

But the final choice and consequences is yours. Read thread 5 and hear what people in similar circumstances did and what the outcomes were and make your decisions based on that.

My advice is to read the whole of thread 5 to be well prepared. From your questions I don't think you fully grasp what you need to be successful in the visa interview.

Please try and read up

So you read that her response as she thanking him..u try..Twoods can do no wrong in your eyes.
If all you post about is another person who takes his time to contribute to posts that matter, then it shows you're biased. Let TWoods be. He has issues with some particular behavior and in my opinion just tried to say what is right. If you have a different view, give advice about the issue, not the person.

You do you and let Twoods do TWoods.

Hello NL members
Great job you guys are doing here. I'm a silent reader here and believe me I've learnt a whole lot from the few days I've spent here. I've practically imagined likeable questions from VO and CBP at Poe. But I know God's grace will always abound.

Now my situation is this:
1. My intent is to have DW give birth in the us,
2. I've learnt here to make all intentions known both at the interview and Poe.
3. I have a friend who's got a green card in us, willing to send me and DW an invite for visitation (if that will get us the visa) and thereafter use the same visa for child birth purpose later next year.
4. Or I jejely make arrangements for visa interview without the invitation from my green card friend in the us.

Permit me if I haven't framed this scenario well (as a learner) but your sincere advise would be appreciated. Thanks
I would say the invitation letter is quite okay if you can prove relationship. But you can also apply on your own but note that applying on your own will increase your cost and hence budget as you'll have to factor in feeding and accommodation

Dear Family,

My wife and I plan to deliver in the US early next year. I am completely new to this. Can anyone share a step-by-step guide along with recommendations? Even helpful links? Costs will be helpful as well. We have the visa already (Tourist). When should we travel? During the visa interview, we confessed about the pregnancy (very early stage then) and the VO said if we decide to give birth, we should try to pay all bills and he wrote that in our file. I

Thanks in advance!
My brother, get a pen and pad and read from page 1 of the thread. This is a DIY forum and you'll benefit from the research greatly! All questions that you envisage have been asked and answered already. Just open your mind like a sponge and soak it all in. Be careful as well as there are against(sharks) also on the page who are ready to take advantage which is why the advice to read extensively is poignant. Good luck

[quote author=kazchick post=62156071]Same here for me. I am so sad. I had my interview today and was refused too. Transcript:
Vo: how are you today
Me: I am good thanks.
VO: Why do you want to go to America
Me: To have my baby
VO: Where do you want to have your baby?
Me: Houston

My take on this is that your ties to return to Naija are weak. Secondly, the inflows into your account from your partners account is a tad suspicious.

just have your doc correspondence, write to embassy to get the generic reply and have enough funds to show proof that you can foot d bills and believe in God for d rest.
I believe the best route is to reschedule for another appointment and come clean. The generic reply seems to be worthless now and I won't advise your wife to put through all the stress of traveling and getting there only to be turned back. There's a likely hood she might get through without this but I'm all for coming clean and taking your chances here rather than getting embarrassed in another man's land. My two cents though
