All these artificially inseminated born lions - they all look awkward like albinos. Go to Kruga park in South Africa or the low grass land glade of Botswana and see a true beast of a lion and her cub. Even the cubs in the wild looks muscular than this timid albino lion. Watch NATGEOWILD and see a true beast. |
Nigeria's environment is so disorganized, chaotic and crude. Anytime you have pictures of any disaster, you see disorganized society, poor and wretched citizens trooping to catch a glimpse, poor road networks, poor public power wirings. Our leaders go abroad and see how towns and cities are planned but will come here and continue to give us rubbish and we the people applaud them. My sympathy to the victims. |
Zooposki:It is not about removing JAMB and building more universities. It is about the Nigerian system and mentality. Our mentality, cultural orientation, behavior and value system are not in sync with the modern world thinking. I for once will never allow my kids to near the gate of any Nigerian University. People go abroad to study to experience decency and orderliness why in school and not the kind of mentality and behavior we have in Nigeria. Nigerians go abroad to treat typhoid and some topical diseases because of the appalling behavior of the medical system here. There has to be a radical shift in the ways we think and behave. |
Nigerians and instant killings . See how they have made the man's wife a widow and his children, fatherless. From the picture, I could guess that the pregnant lady there is the man's wife and the kid must be his. The old man likely is his father. Poverty is bad honestly. My sympathy to the bereaved and to the alleged "raped" victim. This should not be the reason to murder the man in cold blood and police should investigate. He was killed after the alleged "rape" and not caught in the act. As was narrated, killed at night. |
twinskenny:What is the total cost of materials that would be needed for complete cabling of this building you put there? |
Her school uniform is even above her knee - As someone earlier said, her mum may be retired slay queen. |
I inherited love for books, reading and quest for knowledge from my Dad. He never went to secondary school or university. He finished only primary school in 1961 but maintained a library and collections of books and newspapers he read that include: LACOMBs arithmetic , The Cuban Revolution, Julius Caesar, Why we struck by Adewalw Ademoyega, copies of West African Pilot Newspapers, Concord, Daily Times, Spokesman, Lagos Tribune and so many historic books and magazines. His passion for reading was transferred to me as I saw him read a lot why I was growing up and the thing became part of me. It equally affected positively my overall academic performance and growth in Corporate Nigeria. I also inherited his proactive character. He is always slow to act as he takes his time to study things before making a move. He weighs all options and considers all situations. These I got from him. Lastly, I got this from both parents. They are an extremely careful people. No taking chances. This is also part of me. They don't eat or drink where they don't trust. |
There are people in Nigeria still in poverty equivalent to the ones you see in Somalia See the trauma in the faces of those women. Our government should do something to alleviate extreme poverty. |
spyder880:It is a water area. Badore Ajah |
I didn't see iron rod criss crossing the surface before pouring the concrete mixture. My Engineer laid a thick black nylon on the compacted sand and criss crossed the length and breath of the surface with 12mm iron before pouring the concrete mix. Did he do the right thing as it was very expensive for me. I |
mcmbonu:She too like camera. See the way she posed. Imagine asking the children hawking to carry their wares on their head and snap pictures with her. Na Naija way. Everybody must notice me |
Nigeria is the worst place to be a child or to be born. To be poor in this country is just a double jeopardy. I was in PH the other time and saw how the task fore were seizing people's goods and throwing foods from food vendors inside gutter. In as much as I want a decent environment, government should do enough to create a conducive environment for businesses. People are suffering and trying hard to eke out a living. Look at these kids, what does future holds for them? I am an advocate of the poor not having much children. Just born 1 or max 2 and focus on them. But you will see a poor welder giving birth to 8 children without any means of catering for them. The Children would grow up and become a nuisance to the society. There are kids I would see on the streets and tears would start dropping - I would be imagining what the future holds for them without good foundation. |
NTA is a beehive of nepotism. Competency would be sacrificed on the altar of kinsman kind of appointment to sensitive technical position. Government establishments and institutions always makes Nigerians to look daft and incompetent. A private sector led operator would have performed well on this. Any staff that performs poorly would be shown the exit door by management. |
Our standards are terribly low in this country. Our designers are not creative. Sadly, our youths and citizens praises anything they see that are better than what they had seen before. Honestly, as someone earlier pointed out, the facade is just too dull. Typical Nigeria architecture. See the surrounding landscape, no creativity. Call a good Arab or European designers with fewer costs, they will put up a better aesthetically appealing edifice. |
Can you get these wainscoat on the wall using precast

pseudonomer:Yes, Germany may be an exception but you have to raise your a little bit further by being fluent in German. No foreign employer would want to higher someone that cannot communicate properly. Even companies in UK, US and Canada reject international job applicants that are English speakers because of their poor accent or heavy African accents. |
People are asking why would anyone regret studying abroad? My people, if after studying abroad and you couldn't get any decent job afterwards, you would be full of regrets. Some of my colleague in 2009 came to UK on self- sponsorship, paid millions and at the end of their programs, the Conservative government of David Cameroon told them to go back to their respective countries. Companies were told to first consider UK/ EU. Citizens before any international applicant. It was a hopeless situation for many Nigerian students. Some came back to Nigeria to pick up call centre jobs with MTN and others while some struggled with entry level positions. I thanked God that I came to UK under scholarship and there was no regret. Luckily, I got something on my return back to Nigeria. If you want to study and sponsor your self, please head to Canada, New zealand or Australia. Avoid UK or EU countries. If you study in UK or any EU countries, you will be considered last in employment after the citizens of 28 member EU must have been considered. Don't get me wrong, People still get jobs after studying in UK but it is very tough now. Most Nigerians go abroad to study with purpose of securing decent job and settling there. Most are not interested in coming back. If this is your intention, avoid EU countries. It has caused a lot of depression to many people after studying abroad, paid the huge millions and come back to Nigeria to hustle for jobs with local graduates. Some abroad graduates even hides to avoid people asking them questions after coming back to Nigeria. They see themselves as failure if they have nothing to show after returning back to Nigeria. |
This statement gives some incompetent and backwards staff of EFCC to go about arresting every successful young man. If you See the way they stop any young man in porch cars, you will be shocked Imagine one Aboki, with all due respect, opening your laptop or phone and seeing yahoo mail. The next thing is that you are a yahoo boy. I have been stopped and searched because I carry a well maintained beard and my medicated eye glasses usually turns black under the sun. Their thinking on sighting me go be " see am, Na dem". The mentality of our security team need to change through education, exposure and training. |
Mine was in 2001 in an aluminium factory during my siwes industrial attachment. I wasn't paid anything. I was given N1k after the six months SIWEX attachment. Their reason being that I was given accommodation and fed all through my stay with them. It was my uncle that got the interns hip for me so I didn't want to complain since it was just a siwes interns hip even though I was looking forward to earn some money. |
This used to be church building but no more in use because of poor attendance and they converted it to social building. A lot of church buildings in UK are now being used as a night club because the building is no longer in use for worship. I attended my first night club in scotland in a building that used to be a former church of scotland. So don't be deceived |
Please who is in charge of award of contract for government building construction? We deserve something far better than this quack structure. I always said it, our standards are terribly low in this country. Everything is done any how and commissioned and accepted by people that ought to know better Go to other countries and see the simplicity and elegance of government building with modern and functional gadgets. |
In as much as I love to have break from work, we are a very low productive country. There are too many public holiday. You don't see that in some highly productive economies. Nigeria is a country with the highest number of public holidays. |
Nigeria's university environment is nothing to write home about. The worst I have ever seen. I could not imagine that I passed through this system. I wonder if my children would fit into the system as they are currently. So decrepit and poorly maintained. Not conducive for any serious learning. |
Everybody visiting just for popularity. Celebrities in Nigeria uses people's misfortune for cheap popularity. Tell them to make a pledge, they will just disappear. Corporate social responsibility is still very far from Nigerian celebrities. They are always eager to promote themselves and their personality than offer any little assistance even to their followers. I will never follow any of una, come what may |
nlPoster:So amusing my brother. It is so irritating. Even Gabarone, the capital of Botswana is far more advanced than the expensive ghettos who have here. Our standards are just too low in this country. No marked roads with open drainage systems. |
I don't know why we keep deceiving ourselves by Challenging South Africa in terms of development. SA is far advanced than this shithole we are living in. Our standards are terribly low and we always do things any how. SA can rival any advanced country in infrastructure and development. The country is technologically far more advanced than the joke we have here. Our politicians are just too terrible. |
Nawa for Davido. So person cannot play with him in peace again? Any way, all these drama were staged - managed. For me, not real. |
Thegamingorca:No "Jus Soil" in Germany . Germany no send una. Pay your hospital bill at a high international rate and leave their country with your Nigerian passport. No citizenship. I know say US and Canada bounced them when the applied for visa and they tried Germany. At all at all na him worse pass. Only US and canada gives citizenship based on "Jus Soil" |
How effective has the government being able to tax these transactions? No matter how you see it, international travel is a luxury and should be well taxed. Goods and services that are consumed by the elite should be taxed adequately and at a far higher proportion. That's how is done abroad. Any way, my $2,200 ticket fair to canada earlier this year follow for the 700m |
Kai, I did interview in that office in 2012 . God's Grace to them. |
We are very dirty in this country . Local government councils and market union leaders are the worst set of corrupt people. See the drainage with wastes and the traders would be comfortable in that place. A typical Nigerian trader would be making millions of Naira in his business premises but would never evacuate his refuse or put the place in order. Honestly, the local government council should know that waste and drainage evacuation is part and parcel of their mandate I almost threw in on seeing that dirty gutter. |
Onitsha is too chaotic and highly disorganised. Urban planning is zero and once you have money to build the usual four - decking, you could do that any where, making the city to be highly congested and too polluted for habitation. Though this narration is also common with our major towns and cities. I honestly detests our cities. They are more of ghettos. Compare that to some other towns in South African and other places around the world with lesser prosperity, you see order and well planned towns. |
