SanniOluwafemi:The white doors are going for how much? |
He should declare his true age. No falsification in his documentation or else na Ryanair go bring am back. |
I love my Lagos. I can drive home late midnight without fear but can't say same for even my home state The only problem I have about the city is the indiscipline and unruly behaviour of the people, the dirts and the unbearable portholes. |
cooooooks:Of course not Nigerians. The road in that video is too neat and top notch to be a Nigerian road |
agbarisocket:Bro, I hope it is not madness or depression that has taken over you. You made a silly post and still quoted yourself and responded to yourself. I fully understood the current situation in the country. It can make one to loose his or her senses sometimes. My sincere apologies and stay off any drugs. Please remain safe! SAY NO TO TRIBALISM! IT IS KILLING YOUR COUNTRY! |
madenigga:You think it is not possible for Wike to defect to APC? I wont be surprise. It is very possible. At the expiration of his tenure, Buhari may promise him safe heaven if he would deliver Rivers to APC. See Akpabio, nobody ever thought that he would port. That's why I blame youths that keeps fighting and insulting themselves on top politician matter. |
Latidoh1:Cyracius Izuekwe na Ejigbo axis him de report from, while Michael Akinola na Ajao/Okota axis Two funny reporters with funny stories. What is the name of that guy that usually reports from Igbosere Magistrate Court about funny divorce cases? |
My concern is not even the killing of the snake but the place where the OP is staying. Bro, I am not trying to mock you but the living condition of Nigerians are nothing to write home about. Nigerian homes reflect the poverty and under - development of the country. If the picture above is where you stay, we are still far from having an average house/home standard in this country. It is not your fault but the fault of the system that have woefully failed to provide decent accommodation for her citizens, especially those at the lower lungs of the society. Council flats and poor people homes abroad are far more neater and habitable than most shacks we have in Nigeria. Yet, our youths will come online and insult themselves on top politician matter. OP, I hope you are not part of those supporting our corrupt politicians and fighting for them. |
In Nigeria University, Professorship role is a 'political" appointment. Once you are in the good books of the current VC and have your doctorate degree, professorship don sure pass for you if you continue to lick the ass of the VC. Once a VC is appointed, next is to elevate his loyalists to the rank of a professor. It is very common in Nigeria Universities. How many of them have contributed anything significant to the body of knowledge? How many have collaborated with foreign professors to design and produce something that significantly altered the status quo? How many of them have single handedly or jointly solved any pressing developmental challenges in Nigeria? Go to US Universities and see research in motion and innovation in action. As for my kids, US universities sure pass - they are too innovative and research minded and receive huge funding. Johns Hopkins University accepts few PhD students and pay them handsomely. There must be a pressing human challenges before you are offered admission in that university for you to carry out a research and produce a result that will be patented. |
Tribalism aside, Women from the East and maid!!! Must you always treat other people's children like scum. Treat your maid very well and she will in turn be the best of friend to your kids. This is my strategy and it is working very well. I supervise her assignment the way I supervise that of my kids. You can hardly differentiate her from my kids as she dresses well and looks good. The only disadvantage is that all the small small bad boys within the neigbourhood are now toasting her because she always looks good. I don't entertain any concern at all about leaving her with my kids. People think that she is my wife's sister. Maids are people's children and most importantly, they are human as well. We are very wicked in this part of the world. The poor girl must have been taken away from her poor parents somewhere in Abakiliki and her mum would be thinking that her daughter is having fun where she is. |
I don't know why the mod is giving these IPOB news publicity - Simply ignore them and move on to something better. They should go and hold theirs governors to account but Igbos will not hear. Go to Aba and see how the state looks like. Start with holding your governors to account first. I don't know why they think that Biafra would solve all their problems. Why not constructively engage the federal government than this their antagonistic way? IPOB is doing more harm to Igbo course than good but some ignorant fools would not accept that thinking that IPOB is doing them favor. Agreed that Buhari is not doing enough to strengthen the unity of this country, but IPOB should be more professional and tactful in their dealings. The defunct Biafra were led by Igbo intellectuals and professionals and got the needed foreign recognition unlike the current Aba - Onitsha trader - like mentality led IPOB. |
J111333:Correct! As a student in 2009 in UK, I totally avoided Nigerians and their stupid students union. The same way Unions embezzles money here was the same way nigerian unions over there were misbehaving with funds. Very notorious in flouting university rules. They will never tell you about any student job opening but will gladly inform you on time to come for their stupid church events. I totally cut off and befriended those from mainly south east Asia. Studied with them and shared information on job opportunities with them unlike my Nigerians brothers who saw me as a competitor. |
UK University!! Them no de take eye see or hear say star wan come their school or you are under scholarship . Kia Kia, Dem go give you admission. |
This is why I don't trust some of all these news coming from SE about herdsmen kidnapping. It is usually about calling a dog a bad name just to hang him. Igbos should stop raising this unnecessary tension when things like this happens. I am not holding brief for the herdsmen but I fear the consequences of fake news. Please let's trade softly to avoid this country being turned into 1994 Rwanda where radio then broadcasted fake news, pitching one tribe against another. |
To safeguard the unity and peace of this country, lets be sure of the kind of news we post. Fake news can make or mar this country. It was later confirmed that the people that killed the Reverend father were not herdsmen. Lets not invite what happened in Rwanda to Nigeria. Nairaland mod should endeavor to ensure that stories like this are true before pushing to the front page to reduce tension. We should do everything to promote peace and not hate. Where is the evidence of a woman's womb being ripped off? The present arrangement in Nigeria may be bad but peddling falsehood to crucify people is not good. Sadly, the government is not helping matters as they can peddle falsehood just to crucify their perceived opponent and the citizens are capitalizing on it, spreading false and fake news to whip up sentiments. |
And the borders in the Northern part will be free and porous as a leaking roof. Government should focus more attention on the Northern borders and not on Southern Borders. All custom officials are always interested in Lagos and Ogun borders. Probably, that's where the money flows. Please all the border posts in the North are very important and Government have neglected that part of the borders for so long. Nobody should read anything ethnic on my post - It is not about it please as Nairaland is usually a play ground for ethnic bigots. |
ChiefSupplier55:Bro this exclusive milk color is going for how much? |
ChiefSupplier55:Chief, I will be needing like 5 pieces of that door. I hope I will get a huge discount. I have already engaged you before on whatSapp on tiles since you are a one-stop shop for building. |
ChiefSupplier55:How much is this fine white hard wood door with glass? |
From Agriculture to Medicine! I am sure the guy must have struggled to change course from Agriculture to Medicine in UNILORIN but the sadist lecturers and school authorities did not approve that change. JAMB must have given him Agriculture instead of Medicine he wanted to study but my guy did not give up and he had to go to Russia to achieve his dreams. I was given Civil Engineering instead of the mechanical engineering I wanted to study in the university in Nigeria. Did everything to change course after year one, scoring a high GP as stipulated. It was when I saw that it was not going to work that I had to obtain an inter-university transfer form to move to another university and was given my mechanical engineering in year two. Sometimes in life, you have to leave the present to move to another place to achieve your goals. Nigeria environment is a burial ground for dreams and goals. Very unforgiving and could be brutal towards one's realization of his or her goal KUDOS to you Lekan! |
I have said it before, as a corper, avoid all these useless travels and visit. This must have been NFCS members looking at the inscription on the vehicle. Stay in your place of primary assignment and do your one year service and go home alive to meet your people. I avoided all these travels during my time - be it wedding, august visit, team bonding visit, NFCS visit. I was servicing in Kano Metropolis and most times, NFCS members within Kano city would hire a bus to pay visit to some of our members in villages. The first time I went, I stopped going. I was called all sorts of things, that I did not want to identify with our members "suffering" in the remote villages in kano, this and that. Stay in your location, get your GMAT and other necessary books to keep yourself engaged. I bet you, you wont know when the one year is over. There are a lot of deaths involving corpers travelling from one location to another. Please stay put in your place. Don't be controlled or moved by other corpers. Make your own decision and stick with it. You owe nobody any explanation. Avoid all those unnecessary associations that add nothing but takes your valuable time. Spend your one year service in developing your capabilities and avoid all those unnecessary meetings and associations. It is just one year! RIP |
goldcorn:You did all these! |
Akidi - Nna m onye olu! if you know you know. Very funny guy. But must he post it on Facebook or social media? Quietly make your success and move on. |
Honestly, what are we good at? Is it that we do not have highly qualified professors in our teaching hospitals to take care of health related issues. See the India that was far behind Nigeria in 1960 has become a Meccah of some sorts for the wealthy and middle class Nigerians to go for treatment. The doctor treating this man may just be an ordinary doctor but we always believed that we would get better treatment abroad. I agreed though as our hospitals management are poor in service delivery. Nigerians attitude towards everything including customer service and patience service is very poor. |
naptu2:Good historical pictures - 1986!!. I like how things evolved. See Gamaliel Onosode, I guess. The movers and checkers of corporate Nigeria. Nothing is permanent. |
My role model. This man's achievements made me to jettison and dumped my first class Engineering degree for ICAN, which I qualified. Thank you for being an inspiration!!!. I remember AkintolawilliamsDeloitte&Touch |
cassidy1996:This narrative of Nigeria being a Zoo may be real as things that ordinarily works in a civilized environment finds Nigeria environment incompactible |
I like beautiful and clean offices. Start-up should focus more on developing long term capabilities and not beautiful workplace As someone earlier mentioned, successful companies started from garage with tight expenditure control to reduce their operating costs. Nigerian startup focus so much on acquiring beautiful offices and increasing head counts. Mainly to use it as a form of bragging right. When reality sets in, frustration and depression becomes inevitable. I saw when Jimmy Iyke opened his own with so much fanfare and yet the business is stuttering. Please for the would be "start-uppers" and "disrupters", don't be moved by these fancy buildings. Beneath them lies huge business debt and unpaid salaries of huge head counts they have. Spend more time in developing your capabilities and up scaling your skills and knowledge. I have started my own consultancy and designed a beautiful office in my own house where I am running the consultancy from. If I post my picture from there, you would think that it is one big office |
valarmorghulis:Catholic and Anglican Churches runs the show in Anambra and they have done so well in Anambra. Their public schools are some of the best in the country because of the activities of those two churches. No room for pastorpreneurs. |
I don't know why Nigeria architects likes puting these two disgusting pillars in front of building. Does it add to the beauty of the house? Imagine the building without those pillars. It would look nicer and modern. Anyway, my post would make more meaning to those who knows what aesthetics is in building design. |
FarahAideed:Bro, I agreed with you from the sentiment point of view. A fine is a cost of doing business. I consult for businesses in the oil and gas and always had running battles with FIRS. The CITA act is crystal clear that fines and infractions paid are not deductible expenses. Except if the act is repealed and amended, the ruling of the tax tribunal will still be based on the CITA act, which does not recognize fines as a deductible expenses. Intellectual discussion like this should not be an avenue to start hauling insults. This is the reason why people believes that Nigerians are always in anger mode. Any slightest disagreement, they provoke! I never supported the fine as I am always on the side of businesses considering what businesses go through in Nigeria to survive. |
I don't know how MTN can win this case at the Tax Appeal Tribunal. Fines and penalties paid are not deductible expenses under the Nigerian tax (CITA). What FIRS did was to add back the fine of N330bn to MTN profit and taxed them altogether. MTN must have deducted the fine from the profit before they arrived at their assessable and taxable profit. FIRS is saying no, the fine is not an allowable business expenses but penalty and fine paid which will be added back. The implication is that the MTN tax will now be enhanced by at least 30% of the N330bn fine. |
