Nigerian university environment is nothing to write home about. Can't imagine training my kids in any Nigeria university. Look at the entrance door, totally defaced and look unkempt. See walls, what kind of human beings would be produced from this environment. There is always a relationship between good environment and quality of learning - physically and mentally. Things considered abnormal are normal in Nigeria. Our standards are simply too low in everything and people would still come here and insult themselves on top useless politicians. |
Every day, my fear for the future of this country continue to increase. Imagine the ethnic coloration given to this incidence. Everything is seen from IPob, Afonja, Militants and Terrorist angle. I haven't seen the kind of disunity in nigeria as it is now. |
Gboy101:This is what baffles me about population in Nigeria. I served in Kano and travelled extensively in far North because of nature of my work. Places were hardly congested compared to the South, yet NPC always quotes higher population for the Northern states. You could travelled along a swath or stretch of road without seeing any incoming vehicle or one behind you on some express road. You will never see it in the south - Heavy vehicular traffic everywhere. You can't have these type of scanty roads in Lagos - see the round about, it is not even busy. Lagos round about usually have heavy vehicular movement but Lagos has a lower population than Kano according to NPC. Nigeria statistics are always terrific!!! You can never make any meaningful research with data coming from Nigeria. |
Hamzat will surely have issues with Sanwo Olu - He looks ambitious. |
The current set of graduates are not skilled in job hunting. I tell people that job hunting is an art. These jobs are not kpmg jobs but recruiting on behalf of their clients Try and see how you could be shortlisted and follow up with any body in kpmg. When I was job hunting after graduation, I made friends with people from the top 4. KPMG, Pwc, Deloitte and Ernst and young. They always recruit on behalf of other companies. If you have some one there, he would always be giving you info on recruitment. Networking and relationships management are key to securing jobs. Please be smart!! |
hisgrace090:And you people are fighting for Biafra? Nnamdi Kanu will establish a full fledged terror police force for una. |
Brazil is really advanced technologically. All these luxurious and cobus buses are made there. Embraer is the third biggest maker of aircraft after Boeing and airbus. Embraer is followed by Canadian bombardier. |
Hypocrites every where. Irrespective of the circumstances of the birth of the child, the child is considered a human first and the church owes the child that obligation to administer the sacrament of baptism on him. Go to US and other western countries, all these does not matter. We are just being religious with low moral standards. All these people criticising her and the church are not even perfect. You will be shocked the way they treat their fellow human being. Leave God and let him be the judge. Bunch of hypocrites!! |
Thread to batch the catholic church. It won't work. The church remains strong. Only if you knew the meaning and importance of harvest and bazaar in the church. |
scarplanet:I got the scholarship in 2009 and a lot of lawyers got the scholarship in my school. Some were given petroleum law, oil and gas law, oil and gas management, international oil and gas management. My set was when the fund started accepting application from business and finance field. I did energy and petroleum finance |
I honestly feel and sympathise with kids without their parents. Nothing could be compared to parental care and love. I sometimes look at my kids and wondered if anyone could love and care for them as I do. If you visit the motherless babies home, you will cry for those little ones. You will see a baby of 8 months in the baby's bed just gazing at you. You could feel the absence of love and care. I held one and brought him out of his bed. Took him round the premises and walked around for him to feel the outer environment. To drop him back in his bed was a problem. He held me tightly and was wailing. Loneliness and boredom were really affecting him. |
I pity the young lady - She wont see her next three months salary. I trust Nigeria one - man business. Either she get sacked or retained with all the shouting, insults and verbal abuse from the owner. |
Nigerians, always thinking that the solution to every problem lies with religion and God. Even when they are to sort themselves out, they will be waiting on God. We continue to pray for Nigerian, yet things are getting worse, while those that do not pray for their countries are enjoying the highest standards of living. |
Honestly, I am totally disappointed in Reverend Father Ede. Who controls the man? Under whose dioceses does he operates? Which Bishop does he reports to? The man seems bigger than the catholic church because I am sure that university is not under the control of the diocesan Bishop. Is the finances of the school under the church or managed by Ede? Catholic schools all over the world are known for high standard but Madonna, nawao. He started all these spiritual father thing in the east that Mbaka, Gbuzuo and co followed. People will continue to follow them blindly. |
This is fine but I don't know why our architects don't incorporate tree planting, lush green areas, flowers and shrubs in landscaping. It is usually concrete everywhere. This space is big and should have adequate lush grass, even the drive ways should be sandwiched by lush green grasses. My compound is not big but 70 percent of the spaces will be covered with natural grasses and trees. Only the parking space and drive way will be interlocked. |
I don't know if it is a blessing to Mikel or not. He has not been active in football since leaving Chelsea, yet Chelsea is doing well. He has only been active in family things. Imagine if he was in this current Chelsea squad |
My brother, I have two of them in my place currently unemployed. All are ladies. One has Bsc in international relations and the other in health sciences, both with first class. You will be shocked that even some of the private schools around my area turned them down because of no vacancy. I have been trying all I could to help. Pushing for a call centre agent job now for one of them. I am also trying to see if foreign scholarship could work but that one is still very competitive. You compete with people from other countries for the award. The problem is that most of them do not know how to help themselves in job search and cV updates. Job search is a highly skilled area and one need to be smart to decode opportunities. I used it a lot during my job search. More than a year now, no show. The job market here is truly saturated. Most people working in nigeria do not have disposal income because of large unemployed family members to cater for. I always do my best to assist as I was also given a helping hand to climb at the critical moment by a family member that brought me to lagos. |
Randy100:The woman was growing in geometric progression 2,4,6,8 while the man was growing in arithmetic progression 1,2,3,4. |
Donald95:You should be ashamed of this statement. People were killed and all you could say was to bring your useless tribal chest beating into the matter. After you will go and wail about marginalisation. |
Nigeria and fence. Fence has a way of distorting the appearance of cities. You hardly see fence in US and Europe |
KanwuliaExtra:This picture got me laughing. Others were looking up and he was looking straight |
Skill rules the world now. If you are going to struggle to pay your school fees, please face your skills and passion. Develop it to the best. Forget the admission and face your business. If your parents are rich and can foot your school fees, go to school and take your passion as a side hustle. Never struggle to pay your school fees when you have options of starting your business. |
ednut1:You be keke driver? |
To marry a soldier now in Nigeria is like purchasing an application form for widowhood. No thanks to Boko Haram and the government. |
AnthonyAk:Cosmopolitan, multi-ethnic and multi-cultural centers prospers more than cities inhabited mainly by natives. Check some of the cities in UK, US and other western Europe. Compare it with that of Eastern Europe inhabited by natives mainly. Come to Nigeria, Cities like Lagos and Abuja are inhabited by mostly by people from other states. Check also multinational companies, you see Chinese, Indians, Europeans, Americans and Africa, all working together. Each respecting one another Compare it with companies dominated by one section or natives, in fighting, same with states dominated by natives, clan clashes are very common. I love multicultural settings and institutions. Check all the United Nations establishment, do you know what it takes to be employed as a professional staff there? The organizations works so efficiently with everybody being respected irrespective of your ethnic origin. You wont see any verbal abuse. You don't know what you will do the next person will find offensive. So, there is always a mutual respect. I love staying in company of people from diverse background than staying with people from my own clan or ethnicity or religion. |
Mgbuka Obosi - Nigeria should have a place where one could buy parts and couple his own car. |
Sowore never start and him don de get pot belly - Nigerian politicians and pot bellies. It seems that pot belly is now a requisite for politics in Nigeria. |
Sandra 2; Ama 1. Let the game no reach extra time |
Honestly, I don't know why corpers engage in all sorts of travel and one program or the other. It is just one year. Simply serve and go home and meet your parents alive. Stop all these associations this and that and serve your fatherland in peace and go home. I remember mine in 2004, I made it categorically clear to my team, catholic corper, as well that I would not be involved in all these travels. I was serving in Kano city and once in a while required us to visit corpers in remote villages in Kano to have chat and know how they were doing. Some accused me of not wanting to participate. There are better pressing need one should engage himself than all these associations that add nothing but takes away your precious time. |
omonaijiria:GEJ always looking confused!!! |
Abacha's men of yester-years |
He looks like a commissioned officer based on the relative 'affluence' I saw in the picture. A typical ordinary non commissioned soldier cannot boast of this type of house and affluence. We budget billions for the armed forces yet majority of them look poor and if you see their families, you will weep even when the man is still alive. what happens when he dies? My sympathy to the wife. I hope the shameless commanders would not want to corner the wife. I wonder the kind of insurance the nation provides for its service men and officers. |
