I pity Boeing - their market shares are falling like pack of cards at the New York Exchange since the Ethiopian airline crash. Countries are offloading the plane at an alarming proportion. The people I pity are those that have pre-paid and placed huge orders. No refund after payment is always a clause in such contract. Boeing fierce rivals, Airbus and Bombardier will be smiling to the bank now. |
Cceramicaltd:Give us range naa - state the price range |
Pray that this recruitment does not become "INCONCLUSIVE" I hope the GMD will not tow the current trend where by after more than one year of recruitment, they will declare the exercise "inconclusive" and give one funny excuse of being under one form of pressure or the other from Senators and high-ranking government officials to hire their wards. On the other hand, if you have a high-caliber network in the political sphere, now is the time to activate it. This is Nigeria and there would be a lot of political favoritism. Utilize your network effectively. Networking is not bad. It is bad when it is grossly abuse. In oversea, Canada and UK, precisely, people get work through referral - I don't know if Referral here could still mean networking or nepotism in Nigeria context. Anyway, prepare well, pray hard and network hard. Politicians kids are not doing anything now - they are all waiting for this kind of opportunity and most of them studied abroad. |

ezenwajosh:Spewing Rubbish - See how you are just shouting at yourself- What has Yoruba and being Igbo by tribe got to do with that is on the thread? Your type is always a threat to the unity of this country. Extremist! |
This game used to be very popular then in Nigeria during the colonial times. I saw my uncles pictures in his secondary days at Government College, Umuahia, representing his School, playing cricket with visiting students from Eton College, England, with former Premier of Eastern Region and UK cabinet minister in charge of colonies watching. Check some commonwealth countries, Bangladesh, South-Africa, Zimbabwe, Australia, England, India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Fiji etc - They are all good in cricket games. The game just died a natural death in Nigeria. It was regarded as the sport of the colonial masters. The sport that was used to entertain any visiting colonial officer or high ranking politician then. |
Offpoint1:I agreed with you bro. After all, companies do have Co CEO these days and most companies with two CEOs perform better than companies with just one CEO. So, let Gandollar and Abba reason am together and put head together as CoGovernor and move Kano forward. |
What do you want to achieve? You are the type that likes ethnic bigotry and rivalry. Will you remove this post immediately? Nonsense. Instead of bringing something engaging, you want to stay and watch by the side as ethnic bigots slugs it out. |
I have lost hope in the youth of this nation. There is no more hope for the future. If the comments here are anything to go by, this nation is gone. People are no more looking at things based on whether it is right or wrong. People are being blindfolded by partisan politics. Sadly, majority are youths, insulting one another. People no longer care if processes are right,as long as their political divide is favored. We're all building a bad precedent for the future generations of this country. People are here praising the soldiers for snatching ballots boxes, saying that Wike did same before. Do you reward evil with evil?. It would surely come back to us one way or the other. We should all ensure that rule of law is upheld all the time even if it doesn't favor our political divide. Thousands of Nigerian middle class and professionals are relocating in droves to Canada because of the hopelessness of the country, the system and the people. We should all work towards reclaiming our country back and not allow useless political divide and rule to affect this project. |
dgee1:Hello, seeing this now. Honestly, I wished I could help. Have a lot of CVs from relatives that I have not being able to help them because of the current situation in Nigeria. Openings are so difficult to come by now. Am sorry that I won't be able to help you at this time. All the same, what course did you study? |
When you are rich, people will want to identify with you and your projects. When you are nobody, oyo is your name. People would give you excuses why they would not be coming for your events. Hustle and make the money!! |
idowuswap:See stupidity. You wrote something and replied and quoted your self again. Leave bigotry, it has a way of affecting one's sense and reasoning. |
9jaRealist:Thousands study and return. Most people returned because of their inability to secure a decent job overseas and also due to tighter immigration policies these days. Those ones that return, including me, are just numbers. Being a graduate is different from being highly talented and genius -like. Those exceptionally intelligent ones, the innovators and inventors do not come back to the shores of this country. These are the category of people I meant and not the general children of the rich and self- sponsored students that study overseas and comes back to Nigeria to continue their hustle. I was a PTDF scholar, studied and returned back to Nigeria because my skill is not an exceptional over there. I studied a mere Energy Finance but here we are talking of about those that have acquired the skills necessary for the job of the future. |
"Wonderful God ". Ignorance is the worst affliction that could befall anybody. What has God got to do with this natural occurrence? Some have started attributing it to something spiritual and some have unleashed their useless bigotry. Always seeing imaginary enemies. |
Trust me, so sad - we have "lost" theses two great minds. Oyibo don't joke with their scholarship and scholars. They will want you to stay and contribute to their country. Until our structural defects as a nation are fixed, we would continue to loose our best minds. we have lost countless and thousands of record-breakers in foreign universities to the host nation due to stupidity and lack of focus of our leaders. For our leaders, those thing does not make sense to them. There is no data base of our highly brilliant minds and innovators. Those in the helm of authorities do not place priority on human capacity development. I wish them success in their various endevour. |
Nigerian Universities and "Hold Him Down" syndrome - what happens to giving mop up exam or re-sit for students who fail? Why do schools/universities takes pride in making it hard for their students to graduate? The course may even be one useless course that adds nothing to the person's self development. In UK Universities, they will specifically engage the students with this type of problem and see how to help the people concern to graduate and go and face their real life hustle. The UK schools will never keep you in school for up to that number of years without finding a solution on how to assist you one way or the other to just get out. Schools there are more interested in your future personal growth and development and not by passing one useless course or module that adds nothing. |
Why are we attacking Zimbabwe? This is a country that has been under severe sanctions from the West, yet they continued to feed anybody admitted into government hospitals and schools. Do your own government feed patients in their own ramshackle hospitals? Forget the watery foods served in some primary schools. Go to Harare and see beauty and decency of a cosmopolitan city despite their problems. You see beauty, order and discipline unlike our own dear Lagos, the most expensive ghetto in the world with open drainages and gutters, dominated by fiercely and crude looking humans, ready to on leach mayhem on slightest provocation. You will never know the extent our politicians have failed us until you step your feet outside the shores of this country. You may not even need to go far, just get to any southern African countries, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe or even Ivory Coast. |
Typical Nigerian politicians - where are their supporters? - let them come and see how they are dinning, eating well prepared vegetable soup and whole wheat grain, with even moate to wash down the swallow while they are in the street eating watery mama put soap and "akpu" Don't fight or insult yourselves for these politicians, our youths wont hear. |
So sad what this country is turning into. Ethnic division every where and some supposedly educated people on nairaland will be jeering these touts to continue dishing out ethnic hatred. Be it IPOB, OPC or AREWA, nobody has the right to threatened any group. I see reason why educated and progressive Nigerians are leaving the country in droves to Canada. It makes some of us that still have hope in this country to look foolish, stupid and insane. They can no longer guarantee the safety and future of their kids and future generations. Seun and nairaland should stop bringing to front page threads that are capable of threatening national unity. This is how Rwanda genocide started. |
The classroom is too decent to be a typical Nigeria public university. We learn in a very crude and chaotic environment. |
He looks more like a party agent than a party flag bearer. |
bolarinwa346:I always advice to pick from your Geopolitical region. I won the scholarship about 10 years ago and had to travel to my geopolitical region to sit for the assessment. You are competing with people from your own region/state. Once you are not from the region where the interview is being conducted, the biasness from the interviewers will be clear and apparent. But PTDF will not tell you that but the interviewers are the one that will make the decision. Risk it and travel to your own region for the assessment |
All these hungry ambassadors - some of them lobby to come to Nigeria as they always get favors from Nigerian politicians |
Honestly, the large number of Nigerians emigrating to western countries, especially Canada is becoming alarming. This has even made some of us that decided to stay to look stupid, foolish and insane. A large chunk of middle and upper class, most of my colleagues and contemporaries have all left. But Mehn, it is still a tough decision for me and I always seems to gravitate towards staying. I like the freedom and my job. My major concern is just the insecurity. As for my kids, I just had to ensure that I had all my kids abroad in case. That was the decision I took even before my wedding and it worked fine. Wishing all that wants to flee safe janded, yankeed and canadeed. |
The more reason I respect the South-West. Very enlightened and know what they want. It is not about sheepishly following politician. The East should learn a lesson from this - See how the distribution of votes in the South-West. I have said it before, I know a lot of Yorubas that "Atikulated Obediently ", but the way Igbos are carrying this "atikulation" thing and insulting other tribes about it made some people to change their mind. Yoruba people I know are good in making informed decision though not all. South-west will have a fair distribution of votes between the two major parties, may be like-wise in the north. But in the south-east, Mbanu! We know the ocean where the entire river will empty itself. For those that will hit at me, I am not from South-West but a dedicated and committed Nigerian. |
PresidoAtikuGcf:Bro, just ignore these ethnic champions. Igbos doesn't know that their actions and utterances are not helping Atiku. I know a lot of Yorubas that "Atikulated Obediently ", but the way Igbos are carrying this "atikulation" thing and insulting other tribes about it made some people to change their mind. To concur with what others said, put your own pictures. Dress corporate and look successful. Use other pictures that you taken, may be in the office, vacation, training, while studying or delivering presentations and create a moving slide on the home page. I don't advise people to copy online pictures, themes or plug-ins in their website. Somebody else may have used the same pictures. Make them original. |
There is something I have noticed ed about Nigeria election. Rich and highly educated people know how to make better and informed decisions. Poor and local people make decisions based on tribal and religious sentiments. Our politicians knows this and that's why they campaign more where poor stay. You hardly see them campaign in high brow areas because they know that the people that stays there won't accept their lies. This is the reason why Nigeria and Africa are backwards. Voters don't know how to make decisions. Mundane and non-relevant issues are taken into consideration. What is happening in Ikoyi, Victoria island, Lekki and Maitama confirmed this assertion. |
Nnewi town, very chaotic, highly disorganized, choking, highly polluted and dangerous for pedestrians. Yet some people that do not know what real development is all about will come here and be chest-beating about the town and the number of billionaires it has. Their souls RIP. |
LuciferPastor:Very STUPID comments. Do you think they give a damn about all these your religious beliefs in Nigeria? |
