ottohan:Bro Haba! Can't Ekiti person be allowed to comment on Nairaland again? Please leave people to their accents. |
annnikky:Who cares? That's why it is called the religion of peace. Let God be the judge and fighter. The prince of peace is on the throne watching and mother Mary is unperturbed. |
Africa and stupidity. The japanes, Korean and some parts of western Europe don't know about this God and yet remained extremely successful and wealthy. Being religious and godly does not guarantee success. Love your neighbours as yourself. Yet this advice is lacking in most religious people in Nigeria. It was the main team in my church today |
dingbang:Do you think you must have a physical presence to conduct business in any country? The world have gone global. There are many multinational companies in Nigeria that you don't hear about. Go to FIRS and see names with their tax returns. They have people that represents their interest in Nigeria, negotiate and close out deals on their behalf. Most of the people they have here, rent offices in high brow Ikoyi and VI without pasting the name of the company any where. You will just see on 5 or 6 people working for the multinational, closing out deals on their behalf and filing tax returns. Oil companies comes to mind. A lot of unknown companies are operating in Nigerian oil and gas without being known to the public but know only to the authorities and regulators. They have offices in closed streets in lekki and VI without sign post. It is only when you enter the compound that you see assorted jeeps and four wheel drives. That will tell you how far. So, bro companies exist without having physical presence, especially the investment banks - Note that we have Deutchebank, Goldman Sachs, RMB and Barclays bank today in Nigeria but no physical office. They only pay tax based on the proportion of profit made only in Nigeria. |
Honestly, Nigeria is a very poor country. You know rich countries by the quality of their transportation system. See th poo buses being used and the quality of the people. Any time, they show Nigeria streets, you see chaotic scenes, untared roads, unsightly environment, unplanned buildings, unmarked road and dirty and rough looking citizens. I don't see these with other countries even in some African countries |
KendrickAyomide:This is what happens to people that abandons family and friends to face their job and are sacked by the same company they sacrificed their family and friends for |
Ra88:The same way Turkey is dealing with Saudi Arabia on the murder of journalist, Kamal Kashoggi, a critic of Saudi government. It is called "LEVERAGE" Put your adversary in suspense and discomfort and be releasing information in piecemeal. This will continue to draw public attention otherwise, people will simply forget and move on to the next trending news. |
chucs:This man look like a typical Alaba importer |
AK481:I think ARNA may mean something that is bad. I don't know but the way I learnt some of my vocabulary in English then was by reading the sentence and decoding what the strong word/vocabulary word may mean considering the whole statement. |
It still baffles me why women on such trip get themselves pregnant. Why not wait when you are settled or sure of the outcome of the journey. |
kingthreat:It shows a deep seated anger in Nigeria which sometimes result in transfer of aggression to the leadership by the people. That's what is worrying Nigeria. It is common where people lack the basic necessities of life. |
So sad that a fellow third world country is selling arms to Nigeria. A country that was poverty stricken in the 50's and 60's when they broke off from India. At that time, Nigeria was one of the fastest developing economies in the category of Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia. Very soon, we will start buying magazines and assault rifles from Rwanda and some youths will be here hailing and celebrating the government. We should place emphasis on research and development to produce some of our own weapons. I am not a Biafra supporter , but I wondered how they were able to produce their own rocket launchers, air to surface missles, conversion of passenger jet to a fighter jet, land mines, hand grenades and internal combustion engine powered machine guns Please, let's wake up as a country! |
ChiefSupplier55:I like this white one. How much is it and how much is your white American wooden doors |
OP Somebody earlier asked you a question which you didn't respond. Do you make money on these updates and postings in your website. If yes, how? |
See how everybody is happy irrespective of tribe. These are the kind of comments I like to be seeing on Naira land - Solidarity to the nation and to one another. The publisher mentioned, ' Nigerian- American". They didn't put any tribe on the name. Please lets unite and continue to push the frontier of knowledge and human capacity development. That's the only key to sustainable development |
Hello I need something that looks " rustic" in nature. A lamp holder that looks rustic or a calabash - like drop down lamp holder. You can check the meaning of rustic to get better understanding of what I meant
|
crunchyg:Bro, they said bar owner and not bar man. They are two different things. Ask the Quilox owner on Victoria Island |
These discussions tells the sad story of Nigeria. Imagine if we had our national carrier. We are here talking about Ethiopia, Egypt and even Rwanda. I spit on the bald and dandruff - infested head of past and present Nigeria leaders. |
Nigerian university lecturers and meanness. This is a small matter. When I was in UK, lecturers showed great compassion and understanding. This thing happened to one guy in my school then in UK. The dude went to do his per hour hustings job without knowing that the time for the paper had changed. He came and truthfully told the lecturer where he went to and to my surprise, the lecturer simply told our course rep to announce if there were others that missed the paper. If they are still interested in writing the paper, they should come to PG hall next day to write it. He didn't see it as a big deal. This lecturer was a seasoned professor with numerous publications. Here in Nigeria, you will see one daft and God - forsaken lecturer playing God. |
One thing I like about this man is his penchant for high standard in doing things Our standards in this country is terribly low. If this was to be built by governments, you will see gross incompetence and quality of job at inflated prices. Kudos to him |
Waste of scarce resources! Nigerian politicians are expert in white elephant projects. How does this affect the lives of ordinary man in the street of Akwa Ibom still battling with debilitating and acute poverty. Politician should focus on things that have direct impact on the people like coming up with an ambitious social investment plan and human capacity development programs and not gigantic edifices that have no impact on peoples standard of living. |
When your boss brings someone to head you on a role you have been acting as the head or brings someone to understudy you. For those in the banking sector, once you see this action, please take a counter action immediately! |
jenniferlove:You hardly have anything meaningful to contribute than to ask people to open a link to watch sex movie. Imagine if your daughter or son starts responding to your requests and start watching as you requested. Please find other jobs to do. If you need assistance on getting one, don't hesitate to get in touch |
SoNature:It depends on what you paid for. Some pay for world wide audience and som pay for country / regional views only |
Nigerian youths and irrelevance. Always arguing about mundane things. Call them for a job chat or interview, they won't be able to say anything meaningful. If you have the money, please send your kids to a good university abroad. The thinking, psych, value system and futuristic thoughts have seriously eroded many of university students. Most importantly, the Nigerian university environment is no longer a citadel of learning with commitment to character moulding |
iAudio:Bro, I laff sotey I fall for ground. My daughter was like, "Daddy, why are you laughing and falling ". To send Buhari back to Daura is a task that must be accomplished. Make Una pity Bubu abeg! |
I don't have any sympathy. Nigerians are the most docile set of people. fighting one another on top of wicked politicians that will not do anything for them. Some are here on Nairaland fighting and insulting people over politicians that do not care about their welfare she is lucky she got a drip. some hospitals do not have any drip |
okerekeikpo:This kind of comments disgusts me. Spits on your bald hair. Must everything be turned into tribal attacks. For your information, Kanu Nwankwo is a national hero and not a tribalist. |
Typical Nigerian youth. All those things makes no meaning to the modern day recruiter. My boss will typically ask you what you are bringing on the table or how you will be able to provide a fix to the current departmental issue either by reducing turnaround time, cost, designing a better model, improving efficiency of the current system and more importantly, how to bring money to the firm. That's all - leave all those paper and focus on personal self development |
Just imagine! see all the trophies on his table. Nigerians! always giving award to corrupt people for one favor or the other. |
memez:See how unkempt a court premises looks like. A country with very poor standard and maintenance culture. Honestly, the level of our standards in everything is just too nauseating for me. |
showeah:Are you a member of Christ embassy? |
