Nigerian youths! They will soon start insulting themselves on what the political class did. It still baffles me why the youths keep fighting themselves because of deception of the political class. People that care less of them and are not even aware of their existence will come online to start bashing themselves, religion and tribe of their 'opponents'. At the end, some will be sending you private mail asking for N10K to save them from hunger and will still come online to fight over the politician. |
I don't know why Rex Institute is threatening the president and APC. Was the logo patented, registered and copyrighted? If not, anybody could come up with something like that or even use the same logo. It is only when you register a logo or copyright it that you claim infringement if used by someone else. That is why you see some names, logos or brand with these signs " ™®©", showing that it is exclusive and have been registered and should not be used by anybody without express approval from the original owner. If I call somebody to design a business logo that I am using today and someone decides to use the same logo tomorrow, the law does not stop him from using the same logo. If you are using a logo that is not registered or patented, you cant claim exclusive right in the court of law for that logo. |
What a disaster! - See that poor lady that survived. Only God knows what was going on in her mind. |
shiffynaani:I am a career minded person. That category of job would not help me in future. I struggled to get a professional jobs in my area of specialisations in UK but the conservative government of David Cameron was making things extremely difficult for foreign students. A financial institutions in Nigeria came for the yearly "careers in Africa " summit in London and I was hired. The entry pay was lower than my monthly gross in the care home I was working . But when you considered that I was going to be working in my cherished area and the Potential for growth, I took the offer and I thank God I did. Stayed with them for six years, gained valuable experience and joined an oil and gas company. Have built my own house in Nigeria and about even resigning to set up my own independent business consulting firm. Had my kids abroad with citizenship so that they don't experience what I saw in UK based on nationality when you get to the final stage of interview. They always asked me if I had the permanent right to work in UK. Once I said no , they won't get back to me. But some Nigerians with British nationality that I did interviews with got offers. Honestly, Cameron government dealt with us. Bared companies from hiring none UK /EU professionals |
Twizzy30:I think it is still active. One of the best scholarships available |
I made my first million in 2009 as PTDF scholar in UK. I was being paid £500 every month by PTDF plus the initial £2000 given to me before departure. Not millions in pounds but when I converted as I was transferring my earnings to my Nigeria bank account I practically didn't touch the money as I was also working as a cleaner in a hospital, earning £6 per hour. I worked 4 hours a day and unlimited hours during summer. So, I had sufficient money to cater for my needs. I also did a care giver job at old people's home, cleaning their poo and bathing them at a rate of £8.5 per hour and was fed with all sorts of foods , cakes ice-cream, fruits and juices. I saved quite a lot before returning back to my beloved Naija |
Nigerians, very desperate set of people. Always bastardizing opportunities. I blame the Canadian prime minister that said that refugees are welcome and is even paying them 650 dollars pay month for each child. Some that were lucky to enter start making babies immediately to increase their allowance from government. |
Anambra seems to have good tarred roads going by Nigerian standard. Anytime the state is shown even if it is a village, the roads are tarred with street lights. Whether it is working or not is another thing. |
Oyibos are correct when they call Africa and other developing countries as "emerging" economies or country. The emphasis is on the word, "EMERGING". The meaning is that we are still undergoing human development. We are still not behaving the way the normal human should behave. Our economy is still not matured the way it should be. This can never happen in Nigeria or any shithole country |
City in darkness. Lack of electricity is seriously affecting the aesthetics and beauty of Lagos. That has even made Christmas decorations to look unattractive and local since it is only the decoration that glows and shows light while the surroundings are in total darkness. you will hawkers and backwards people snapping in front of the decorations and posting online with total darkness at the background. |
Why do we spend fortune in building places of worship why many are poor? Go to Europe and see simple ancient stone cathedrals with beautiful interiors that costs just a fraction of this edifice and well maintained Why can't we do simple things instead of gigantic buildings just to claim the biggest. The church in my university town in Scotland is a stone cathedral with artistic in nature and natural yet very aesthetic in appearance. Nigerian should learn to be modest inn things of ostentation. |
Nigerians and low IQ. They have already turned this to political insults. Note that this will not result to any significant investment by MTN as they already have the infrastructure which the banks are currently using. They just want to have their own branded banking payment system and rely or partner with any existing commercial bank. Note also that they are not acquiring any commercial license as some uneducated nairaland peeps had assumed and have started praising the government even when they're still looking for jobs. |
Stupid and lazy youths. See how they have turned someone's success to tribal discuss and superiority. Nigerian youths, wake up and leave ethnic bigotry behind. |
Anambralstson:Who cares. Always chest beating |
Can we see the real life items and not 3Ds. Snap them t he way they are at your show room and post |
Most of the bus shelter have been taken over by lunatics and street urchins. Anytime you pass one, you will see one mad person sleeping there |
Ojukwu!! I don't understand this man with Reverend Sisters. Throughout the war, his cooks were Irish Reverend Sisters not even Igbos. He was not even eating his wife's food. Throughout his stay in exile in Cote D'Voire, Reverend sisters were the ones cooking his food. See his wedding with reverend sisters. |
My concern is the state of the hospital - Our standards in Nigeria and Africa is simply too low. |
Poverty and violence are inseparable! |
Ufedolove:Expatiate further please! |
Ziggylady:Stupid lady - is that all you could come up with? Ethnic bigots everywhere. Do you think that the man knows who you are or even your existence? We should stop all these ethnic insults. It makes sick and fear for the future of this country. The annoying thing is that ethnic insults is common with the low and jobless people in the society. The rich lives above these petty things. Watch out the caliber of people he will invite. People of his class and not his ethnic people. |
Comedians like marrying beautiful women |
Mine was about 2.9m. Same size with yours in lagos. You said you bought cement for 2400 this year? I bought 2700 when I did decking |
NwaAmaikpe:You didn't read well before commenting. Check the first statement she made. That her mother will be too emotional when the next gift comes. That's certainly her wedding or bringing home her man |
jakandeola:I doubt if he is meeting up to 40% of Lala"s sexual desire. Nothing dey all these politicians. |
I don't know if GE recruitment is a scam or real. Please if you have ever been recruited by GE through their vacancy advert, please raise up your hand. Those people dealt with me during my job search more than 15 years ago. I was always getting the same response. My friend that was recruited in GE was recruited from their Houston office and brought to Nigeria. |
How much is the white door? |
Honestly, I don't understand this embassy with " letter from where you work and your pay slip". Must everybody be an employee? I have seen severally people that are running their businesses denied visa even when those people are doing very well. They always prefer working class. Once you mention that you have your own company, that you don't work for anybody, they will just deny you instantly. I always advise business owners to see themselves as employee of their respective businesses with letter headed paper and pay themselves a steady monthly salary through the company bank account. If they ask for documents from the company, kukuma use your letter headed paper, signed by your brother or wife as human resource manager and print your pay slip with the letter headed paper of your company. Don't go there and brag that you are the founder/owner of one God forsaken one - man business, Bro, na automatic denial except if the visa office de feel you. |
If this did not cause you any remorse, you definitely don't have a human feelings. I just imagine seeing my lovely daughter in this decrepit building as her school. What kind of human beings do we expect to be churned out from this type of settings. You see, you cannot sow pepper and expect to harvest apple. It is not possible. The society is as good as the product of their institutions and environment. Believe me, the cost of painting this building and putting a corrugated roofing sheet over that building is far less than what it would cost a government official to change the four tires of his Lexus SUV. But they will never do it. This is where the poor trains their children. In future some of the products of these type of system would turn against the society to take their revenge!! |
Have you ever wondered where the Suya sellers keep their remaining sales after each night? The very day I saw where one of the mallams kept his after night Suya, I stop buying Suya. I only buy Suya from Abokis that sells in a hotel or some other eateries environment. I have totally stopped buying from road side Suya sellers. |
