City in darkness. Lack of electricity is seriously affecting the aesthetics and beauty of Lagos. That has even made Christmas decorations to look unattractive and local since it is only the decoration that glows and shows light while the surroundings are in total darkness.

you will hawkers and backwards people snapping in front of the decorations and posting online with total darkness at the background.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Catholic Church Of The Transfiguration Most Beautiful Church In Nigeria? by Focusmind: 4:44am On Nov 14, 2018
Why do we spend fortune in building places of worship why many are poor?

Go to Europe and see simple ancient stone cathedrals with beautiful interiors that costs just a fraction of this edifice and well maintained

Why can't we do simple things instead of gigantic buildings just to claim the biggest.

The church in my university town in Scotland is a stone cathedral with artistic in nature and natural yet very aesthetic in appearance.

Nigerian should learn to be modest inn things of ostentation.
Business › Re: MTN To Acquire Banking Licence In Nigeria, Says CEO by Focusmind: 4:33am On Nov 14, 2018
Nigerians and low IQ. They have already turned this to political insults. Note that this will not result to any significant investment by MTN as they already have the infrastructure which the banks are currently using.

They just want to have their own branded banking payment system and rely or partner with any existing commercial bank.

Note also that they are not acquiring any commercial license as some uneducated nairaland peeps had assumed and have started praising the government even when they're still looking for jobs.

Stupid and lazy youths. See how they have turned someone's success to tribal discuss and superiority.

Nigerian youths, wake up and leave ethnic bigotry behind.

Ojukwu!! I don't understand this man with Reverend Sisters. Throughout the war, his cooks were Irish Reverend Sisters not even Igbos. He was not even eating his wife's food. Throughout his stay in exile in Cote D'Voire, Reverend sisters were the ones cooking his food.

See his wedding with reverend sisters.

Stupid lady - is that all you could come up with? Ethnic bigots everywhere. Do you think that the man knows who you are or even your existence? We should stop all these ethnic insults. It makes sick and fear for the future of this country.

The annoying thing is that ethnic insults is common with the low and jobless people in the society. The rich lives above these petty things. Watch out the caliber of people he will invite. People of his class and not his ethnic people.

Foolish girl.
If she wants to celebrate her mother she should bring home a husband.

The best gift any daughter can give her mom is a grandchild.

Not a house gift that is even the direct proceeds of
her sexual iniquities.
You didn't read well before commenting. Check the first statement she made. That her mother will be too emotional when the next gift comes. That's certainly her wedding or bringing home her man

I don't know if GE recruitment is a scam or real. Please if you have ever been recruited by GE through their vacancy advert, please raise up your hand.

Those people dealt with me during my job search more than 15 years ago. I was always getting the same response. My friend that was recruited in GE was recruited from their Houston office and brought to Nigeria.

Celebrities › Re: Khloe Calls Out U.S, U.K And Canadian Embassies Over Visa Denial by Focusmind: 11:08am On Nov 08, 2018
Honestly, I don't understand this embassy with " letter from where you work and your pay slip". Must everybody be an employee? I have seen severally people that are running their businesses denied visa even when those people are doing very well.

They always prefer working class. Once you mention that you have your own company, that you don't work for anybody, they will just deny you instantly.

I always advise business owners to see themselves as employee of their respective businesses with letter headed paper and pay themselves a steady monthly salary through the company bank account. If they ask for documents from the company, kukuma use your letter headed paper, signed by your brother or wife as human resource manager and print your pay slip with the letter headed paper of your company.

Don't go there and brag that you are the founder/owner of one God forsaken one - man business, Bro, na automatic denial except if the visa office de feel you.
Education › Re: See The Sorry State Of This Primary School In Zamfara: Photos by Focusmind: 10:24am On Nov 07, 2018
If this did not cause you any remorse, you definitely don't have a human feelings. I just imagine seeing my lovely daughter in this decrepit building as her school. What kind of human beings do we expect to be churned out from this type of settings.

You see, you cannot sow pepper and expect to harvest apple. It is not possible. The society is as good as the product of their institutions and environment.

Believe me, the cost of painting this building and putting a corrugated roofing sheet over that building is far less than what it would cost a government official to change the four tires of his Lexus SUV. But they will never do it. This is where the poor trains their children.

In future some of the products of these type of system would turn against the society to take their revenge!!

I have totally stopped buying from road side Suya sellers.

Africa and stupidity. The japanes, Korean and some parts of western Europe don't know about this God and yet remained extremely successful and wealthy.

Being religious and godly does not guarantee success.

Love your neighbours as yourself. Yet this advice is lacking in most religious people in Nigeria.

It was the main team in my church today
Business › Re: HSBC And UBS Close Offices In Nigeria by Focusmind: 12:06pm On Nov 03, 2018
dingbang:
Did they even have offices in Nigeria? Didnt know though
Do you think you must have a physical presence to conduct business in any country? The world have gone global. There are many multinational companies in Nigeria that you don't hear about.

Go to FIRS and see names with their tax returns. They have people that represents their interest in Nigeria, negotiate and close out deals on their behalf. Most of the people they have here, rent offices in high brow Ikoyi and VI without pasting the name of the company any where.

You will just see on 5 or 6 people working for the multinational, closing out deals on their behalf and filing tax returns.

Oil companies comes to mind. A lot of unknown companies are operating in Nigerian oil and gas without being known to the public but know only to the authorities and regulators. They have offices in closed streets in lekki and VI without sign post.

It is only when you enter the compound that you see assorted jeeps and four wheel drives. That will tell you how far.

So, bro companies exist without having physical presence, especially the investment banks - Note that we have Deutchebank, Goldman Sachs, RMB and Barclays bank today in Nigeria but no physical office. They only pay tax based on the proportion of profit made only in Nigeria.

Honestly, Nigeria is a very poor country. You know rich countries by the quality of their transportation system.

See th poo buses being used and the quality of the people.

Any time, they show Nigeria streets, you see chaotic scenes, untared roads, unsightly environment, unplanned buildings, unmarked road and dirty and rough looking citizens.

I don't see these with other countries even in some African countries

I like the way the guy is releasing the video one after the other. If he drops everything at once, Nigerians with short memory will not remember this scandal by next week.
The same way Turkey is dealing with Saudi Arabia on the murder of journalist, Kamal Kashoggi, a critic of Saudi government. It is called "LEVERAGE"

Put your adversary in suspense and discomfort and be releasing information in piecemeal. This will continue to draw public attention otherwise, people will simply forget and move on to the next trending news.

It still baffles me why women on such trip get themselves pregnant. Why not wait when you are settled or sure of the outcome of the journey.
