When I graduated, I was so blessed that I didn’t hurt for job, before I got one. I was working in the bank and was paid well, within a year I rented an apartment and got married, things was falling in place and I felt on top of the world before I started gambling, how I started it, I can’t explain. I lost all my resources and money within two years, I was sacked eventually and life became worst for me.
I got another job and promised my wife, family and kids to be a responsible father, but the urge for gambling keep coming, I couldn’t control the urge, I lost the job again.
My wife believed am a good man, but I see myself like am cursed and it is not that am getting money from the gambling.
I am sick and tired of life, I am a failure, sometimes I feel like committing suicide, I have brought shame to my family and kids.
Please I need help, am jobless, money can’t stay in my hand, I will go to gambling shop and lavish it.

There is nothing wrong with you, you are just being careless with money

When next you get a job, put your wife account number for your salary to he paid. She will notify you of your salaries and both of you will agree on how she will run the account for you and how much you need per week

Another job is on the way, talk to God and be ready to give up bad habits

I am have been having serious issues with my wife over the years but after a very deep self soul search some days back and honest discussion with an elderly friend,you know those kind of conversation which hits you with the bitter truths.

Men I just realized say na me dey mess up,I have been begging my wife for forgiveness but I think I have pushed her to the limit as she is no budging anymore and I just realized I have lost a good woman and my marriage.

One lesson I have learnt now in Life is never to take a woman love and patience for granted and I believe that will help me in future,and also guys,only marry a woman you truly love from your deepest part of heart,forget about whether she loves you the same,when a man sincerely loves a woman,most women will always respond in kind.

My foundational problem was that I didn't love my wife deeply and that was why all the unfaithfulness from my side.

I just didn't know all the pain and ache I was causing her but I have learnt my lesson even though it's kind of late now.

My father told me it's all over,that when a woman makes up her mind,it's all over.how true is that?

You can still get her back but you must be a changed person by character and attitude

I some times get that feeling of loneliness, and miss the touches and hus of a woman.

I tried relatie with women in the past which didn't end well. I had to stay away from relatie because I felt I might die trying to find a good woman.

1. Something is missing in my life which a woman can't fill, this has brought great unhappiness in me.

2. I need an intelligent woman, most of the women I see are somewhat have traditional mindset. I guess, I need a lot of traveling.

3. I need a woman that can handle me with extra care. When you hold an egg, you use exra care.

My girlfriend of 1 year and 5 months just told me that she has a daughter.
She said she was impregnated at the age of 16 in 2015 by a guy who promised to give her admission. She said they had sex once and that the guy took away her virginity.
My girlfriend will be 24 this year and her daughter will be 7 years.

I asked her for proof and she showed me her daughter's birth certificate with her name written as the mother and pictures of her daughter when she was a baby.
She is not involved in her daughter's life, her daughter lives with her Aunt.

I wouldn't have fallen in love with my girlfriend if she had told me in the beginning of the relationship that she has a child.
I remember telling her multiple times when we talked about baby mamas' in the early stage of our relationship that I can fvvk them but I can't have anything serious with them.

I still love my girlfriend but I'm not proud of her currently.

I moved out of my parents house mid 2020 to my rented apartment at the age of 18,even though my dad wasn't in support but there was nothing he could do because my mind was all made. I kinda look way past my age though and a lot of people have told me my reasoning is mature,I wasn't going out to suffer,I was going out to be on my own and live my life. The decision I took I haven't for a day regretted it.



I refused to disclose where I was moving to my parents because I know the life I wanted to live(semi wayward),but eventually I told my parents and they visited the first time,then it became continuous to the level that they come unannounced. I gave the estate gate men an order that they shouldn't allow visitors past the gate unless I give them the order to. All to no avail. I threatened not to pay them self.

My dad has familiarised himself with all the estate landlords. The one that shocked me the most is my landlord,my house is a rented single duplex and my landlord doesn't stay in the country. How my dad got his number I don't even know,they have become friends now. I have never liked being under anyone's roof as I have always craved being alone since my primary school days and now that I can afford to be on my own. I'm seriously tired, Though, I told my landlord to cut ties with my dad or else I'm not renewing my rent.

Being treated like a child irritates the hell out of me, I'm not dependent on anybody so why the hawk eye on ne. I'm thinking of moving away from this place, there is always this look I'm given whenever I attend estate meetings like I'm a criminal or something. Should I move? Should I just use this chance to go to a Nigerian university though I see it has a waste of time, I'm learning coding on my own and it's damn easy.

When I am looking to rent an apartment, I don't like to use realtors because of my past terrible experience with them.

During the month of december last year 2021, I boarded a bus and went to the outer subburb of my home city to look for a bedsitter apartment to rent. As I go about each neighbourhood looking for any affordable apartment, I pass by the major market and got the reminder that, I needed to buy some food (grocerries) because things are very expensive at the town where I live.

In my home city, things are a bit less expensive and there are banks everywhere, so I went straight to zenith bank and used their slip to withdraw some money, for me to buy some food stuff (groceries) on my way back home.

When it was time for me to go back home, I branch by the market and bought the things I needed for the week. I was left with N500 ($1) which is enough to take me back home with stress free.

I walk a bit to the nearby junction, to take rickshaw (keke) that will take me to the express border of the next town, from there I will take bus back home.

When I was about to take rickshaw (keke) is when I realize that, the money I got left with me, is no where to be found on me. I lost the N500 ($1) I have left with me.

The bank have closed.
I was not with my debit card.
I was not with my mobile phone for USSD banking.

See me, see trouble, I blurted.

As a cross bearer, I decided to walk (trek) to the next town because I have lost the money I got left that will take me back home. It took me about 1 hour to get to the bus stop of the next town which also borders two different town. I was so tired because I have been walking (trekking) for about 7 hours in total for that day.

I was still carrying my sack bag of groceries when I got to the junction. It was a highway express, and so many buses and cars where driving by in full speed. The buses will drop and pick up few passengers and zoom off.

I look all around me, looking for who to help me so that I can get back home.

I walk back a little bit and saw three ladies and a young guy in his 20's, were busy with golden chance lotto. It was not possible for me to speak with the ladies because they will mock me, so I wave at the guy who was about to leave - I signal him to come which he did.

When he came to me, I explained to him what happened and even show him the things I bought. He became very worried and as swell show more concern about my well being.

He told me that, those ladies down there are owing him change (money) that he will be right back.

I watched as he went to meet them. They started asking him questions upon questions about me, I stood there waiting for my fella, with my bag on the ground because it was a bit heavy.

The three ladies delayed my buddy from coming back, but finally he came back and told us to look for change.

We started looking for change, went to all the women around, they all refused to change the money, but finally, one keke man did change the money for us.

My buddy was so happy and gave me money to go back home. As I was about to leave, he said something that affected my soul to this very day

He point at their direction, and said to me, those three ladies down there, said I should not help you.

Allow him to rot there, the ladies said to him

Don't help him.

Don't give him your money they said to my buddy.

My buddy began to argue and quarrel with them.

He told me he argued with them and became angry with the three ladies.

He asked them, is it your money ?

Are you ladies, telling me what to do with my money?

I replied him, my friend, I know why they delayed you.

I know them too well. I deeply know what they are telling you. For God said, let us made man in our own image and likeness, and God made man like himself.

I gave him a handshake, thank him and took a bus back home.

Exactly! Don't be surprised to know that most of those guys talking down on women were catered for by their mom. Their mother would have been veey helpful while growing up.

Hi guys,

I was planning to travel out to UK, Germany or any other stable European country for my Master`s by September of this year of which i will be able to raise 2million from my pocket and then borrow about 2/3million from a person i know for some fees then get there are do part times jobs to complete my tuition fee.

After some thoughts, i realized this wasn`t a really smart move cos i have a good job here in Nigeria where I'm paid above 200k each month, This will increase to above 300k in the next 2months still with some bonuses.

Is there any sense in dropping all these to go to a place of uncertainty and start leaving from hand to mouth cos i`d be struggling to pay my debt and tuition??

One of the driving forces towards wanting to travel out is the fear of 2023 elections and the fact that many of my friends we finished together are all travelling out. Yeah, i know the second reason doesn't make sense, but that`s just me being honest here.

My plan now is to keep working here in Nigeria probably for about 3/4 years more, live the baby boy life, develop relevant skills then get a job over there or go for an MBA. 3/4 years from now i should have saved more than 2million for travel.

Also note i will be turning 26 towards the end of the year, so i think there`s still a bit of time on my end.

I need advice from you guys, is this a sensible idea putting into consideration things that could go wrong pre/post elections, the current standard of living in Lagos and the current and future exchange rates.

I have noticed the crazy rush to leave the country among we youths but i have also noticed that those that have good paying jobs in multinationals, fintechs, banks, govt etc are not bothered about leaving the country. Also noticed most of my friends who left were all earning less than 100k in salary.

Please tell me what y`all think??
