walex2: those three guys I mentioned never lost an election case where their clients are the defendants in an election case There's always a first time. Perhaps, in the past, there's not been sufficient evidence, the prosecuting lawyers are not well learned/prepared enough, justice was subverted, etc. |

And he couldn't blur their faces and in his stupidity, he said the guy doesn't want to show his face. He's intruding into someone's privacy to shine and shame them and he had to hide his own face. He's just the typical Migeria with the 'I better pass my neighbor' ideology. |

armyofone: Lol @ can't remember the name.
They have so many kind of fish at the Filipino store. Have you tried Pampano ? The flat fish. So delicious. No I have not. I usually buy Norwegian Mackerel (Titus), Catfish, and Tilapia. I just tried this one and it almost taste like our Nigerian "Kote". My annoyance is that they usually carry Pig Head and wouldn't carry Cow Head. The only store I ever found a Cow Head was a Mexican store however, they said they don't cut it down, so I had to move. I remember those days we buy Cow Head "Pari" in Nigeria and those guys debone it with some very sharp knife. Even the experts sometimes cut their hands which tells me why I should never attempt it. |

Career › Re: Second Class Upper At 26 Years of age, any hope securing a graduate trainee job. by GboyegaD(m): 2:18pm On Jun 06, 2023 |
Covenant97: Good evening Nairalanders
I write to seek your view on My current situation.
I am a final year student in one of the best Federal university in Nigeria(Name withheld) and certainly, will be graduating with a second class upper within the 4 point range CGPA.( I was on a first class cgpa But my cgpa was slashed no thanks to my department I was a victim as well as others)
My worry is, I will be 26 years when i eventually write my final paper as a student then come service(NYSC) by then 27 max after service. No thanks to COVID- 19 pandemic and ASUU which engulfed my chances of graduating below the 26 age bracket.
In light of the above, Do I stand a chance of securing a graduate trainee position in top multinational organization requesting for 2.1 and above within the age bracket of 26 and below post NYSC,Given that after my service I will be 27.
Ps:I am an accounting student and I intend to start my ICAN exam during service.
My current CGPA is 4.20 ,resuming for my final year come July this year. I do not have an answer to your question however, I am concerned by you hiding the name of your university and downplaying the slashed CGPA. You are indirectly endorsing a bad action. |
Family › Re: I do not feel loved by my wife, Is this enough reason to quit my marriage? by GboyegaD(m): 7:53pm On Jun 05, 2023 |
CuriousMind2022: Her resentment actually died. At least we have gone past having physical fights in our marriage. The only thing is that she lacks enthusiasm in making the marriage work.
Before we settled after that incident, she was asked both by our Pastors and by my elder brother and his wife, if she wanted to continue with the marriage, and she affirmed yes. I just don't know why she is not ready to put in the work to make it work.
Personally, I wouldn't feel bad if my marriage collapses now, because I have done my best. And unlike last year, when I took full responsibility for our marital problems, because I knew I was largely the cause, that is not the case today, because God knows I have done my best. Since she still wants the marriage, I would suggest you find a way to go out of town to somewhere new where you both can have real discussion. Don't be tired but rather, try to talk to her to know what you both can do to make things better and you too tell her what you both can do to make things better. There is a place of endurance in marriage and I pray all things work for you both. |

They like it . I was in Owerri month ago and I experienced this sit at home first hand . During the morning of Monday, you see the youths sitted outside in large numbers drinking and catching fun.
They just like it if you ask me You might think they like it but the truth is why would they put their lives on the line? |

We read about his attack on Bello earlier and now Bello attacking him. There's too much money and corruption in our politics which is why people are willing to kill to get in/ remain/ over throw athe current government.
Interestingly, both shootings will go without anyone brought to book. |

Kobojunkie: Exactly! Nigeria ought to be a labor lawyers paradise. Not sure why they aren't taking over things. Either lack of thoughts/exposure or laziness. Remembered visiting Ikeja High City over 20 years ago and some some lawyers shalt dressed due to lack of clients. For me, I felt with the things I knew about Nigeria, these guys should be doing much better but alas, the reverse is the case. |

Why not get a labor lawyer and file a case against him at the Federal Industrial Court? I wonder when some lawyers tell me they are broke when they can specialize in labor law and take over the case of people like OP and make a decent living for themselves as well. |

I see no problem coparenting with the father of the daughter however, she needs make up her mind if she is done with him or not. The idea of taking his calls shouldn't be a problem however, taking it beyond "Good morning, how are you?" is where the problem lies. Except she defines what she wants, your fear is as good as mine. |

HoneySwag: Dear sis, don't run away. He knows your age has gone far and that's why he's doing all that nonsense to scare you away. My dear play along, after the marriage ceremony deal with him by standing your ground on anything you want to do or wear as his wife. After the wedding, don't allow him detect for you but for now play along. So you would rather encourage a union of deceit? He's shown who he is and if she chooses to go along, then she should be able to be submissive and his folks. This you are advising is not in anyway beneficial to her as the world doesn't end if one is single past 35. |
