Politics › Re: Forgery: 15 Witnesses Lined Up Against Saraki, Ekweremadu, Others by gigabyte13: 11:32am On Jun 22, 2016 |
LadyExcellency: If I may ask, is it this same 2015 Senate standing rules that is quoted like 100 times on each senate seating / meeting for over a year now without a motion for amendment that is under dispute? Get off it, think reasonably beyond politics. This same document was used for ministerial confirmation, passing of 2016 budget among other landmark events since the 8th National Assembly.
Let's not digress, the debate is all about Executive interference on another independent organ of our government which is catastrophic to democracy.
Executive council meeting has their rules which is not subject to external scrutiny so is the Internal rules of the Senate.
If you understand the principle of locus standi in law, you will better appreciate my argumentz against dictatorship. Sorry, your excellency, you didnt answer my questions. From your comments, l can only deduce that, you are angry with the executive but at home with saraki's led house as constituted wether legal or illegal. |
Politics › Re: Forgery: 15 Witnesses Lined Up Against Saraki, Ekweremadu, Others by gigabyte13: 9:40am On Jun 22, 2016 |
LadyExcellency: You are typical mumu, Senate standing rules are like resolutions and according to the guidelines, it can be suspended, amended or set aside at any point in time as may be requested by a "member" with the support of the majority. We know that the Executive is not a Senator hence lacks the locus standi to question the rules whatsoever.
As per the second question, keep quiet if you have no supporting facts to disprove my submissions? Good point. So tell us the name of the senator that propose for the amendment, suspension or setting aside of the 8th senate standing rule? Likewise the names of the so called majority that support the amendment, suspension of the standing rule ? Who preside over the amendment of the senate standing rule? When was it amended? Pls educate me. |

Saw him on channels some minutes ago and I felt for him. He has grown so lean. If the SP seat was not his inheritance, I would have advised him to resign. Simply put, no man can take on the FG. Taking on the FG is like a death wish. If only he had apply wisdom like Dogara, give them their principal officers to show his loyalty to the party, but greed and selfishness wont let him do that. |

Since his hands are tied against the party list, the party hands are tied too, to defend him. Let him fight his battle alone. He taught Nigeria is kwara state. Sorry saraki, your troubles continue. Politics › Re: Does The EFCC Have The Power In Law To Freeze The Bank Account Of A Citizen by gigabyte13: 11:06am On Jun 21, 2016 |
bnovative: Having already established that under the law,the EFCC MUST approach the court before it can validly freeze the account of anybody, the next issue is whether the Commission can approach the court for an application to freeze Fayose's account. The answer to this question is an emphatic "no". We base our answer on the constitutional immunity granted Fayose by sec 308 of the current constitution of Nigeria. The effect of that immunity is that Fayose, as long as he remains governor, can not be taken to court for any reason whatsoever. The immunity offers complete protection from court cases - whether civil or criminal. What this means is that no person, including the EFCC, can approach any court in Nigeria seeking any relief - civil or criminal - against Fayose in his personal capacity. You can not take Fayose to court and the dilemma is : You can not freeze Fayose's account without taking Fayose to court. It should be noted that this immunity does not by any means prevent law enforcement agencies from investigating Fayose. . He can be investigated. But the law is that he can not be taken to court as long as he is a governor. You can investigate him and take the file of your investigation to court after he ceases to be governor. This means that if part of your investigation involves approaching the court to seek a relief against Fayose, then You are immediately hampered and your investigation, in that area, has come to an end. Whether You like it or not, whether it is fair or not, that is how the law intends it. It is called the rule of law. If you don't like the law, you can go the the National Assembly to change it. But as long as it is not repealed, it remains effective and must be obeyed by every person, especially agencies of government created by law. So in simple English, according to your wtite up here, l can steal money now and put it In fayose 's account, we are both cool, since immunity covers him. |
Politics › Re: Does The EFCC Have The Power In Law To Freeze The Bank Account Of A Citizen by gigabyte13: 9:51am On Jun 21, 2016 |
Are you a lawyer? No evidence you say, so the EFCC should come and show you and your villagers the court papers? Let fayose take the EFCC to court if his right is trampled on and stop wailing on his behalf.
And for your info, fayose is just being investigated not prosecuted. Time for prosecution will follow when his immunity expires.
So he has such huge amount of money in the bank and cant pay salaries. What a THIEF 2 |
