5minsmadness: I have hundreds of them all over the place, stored up in ghana-must-go and old Lufthansa boxes. I don't just know how to throw my clothes away, to me they are like familyWhat funny strories? |
I think nothing is wrong with any of the OP's examples. Where i have a problem is when A working mother and a stay at home dad In this type of family, the woman works and takes care of the financial needs of the home while she also takes care of the home and the domestic duties at home. Though the man is the one that stays at home, he doesn't do any of the domestic chores nor run the home because he is the king of the house. A working father and a stay at home mum. In this type of family, the man works and takes care of the financial needs of the home while the woman is too lazy to care of the children and the domestic duties at home. Though the woman is the one that stays at home, she doesn't do any of the domestic chores nor run the home but expects the man to help out by force because in her mind, she is the weaker vessel. A family where both man and woman works fulltime. In this type of family, both man and woman work fulltime. Somehow the hubby expects the wife to make time to do home duties alone, take care of the kids, cook for the family etc. While wife expects the hubby to be 100% responsible for bringing in the finances for running the family while she pockets hers. Nobody is helping each other here. and many other kinda structures that will amaze you. From the stories i read on NL, i see all this a lot. In all, whatever rocks your boat no ni. |
pickabeau1: Due to economic or immigration realities, we have families where one spouse is located away from the familyIf it the man that is located away from home, that means he sends in upkeep money as agreed and the wife(if a stay at home mummy) takes care of the home front. If wife is a working woman, she gets a paid help/maid to help with the home care and support whatever hubby sends to them for upkeep. But come to think of it, who helps those husbands located away from home with house chores? #just curious |
Ngokafor: ...Cave men is an understatement.Infact dont talk too muchoo!. ![]() |
Sophyrocks: LOL. Yeah. the bloody pvssies are not like the chimpazees as they are who love to beat their chests and scream in the jungle. Being a chimpazee is being a Real Man. Yeaaaaah! No wonder chimpazees are very close to cave men. A lot of similarities between the two. They both beat their chests to prove a point. But i can bet you the male chimpanzees dont wait for their mate to say the first good morning. SO maybe the chimpanzees are just better off. No comparison with the MASCULINIST |
Sophyrocks: Yeah. The bolded is the national anthem of Cave Men who are usually disappointed that not all men are beasts as they are. They always wanna preach scare tactics to prove that other men are just like them. I feel their pain. Thats a huge crush on their fragile ego and self esteem.Did you just call them cave men? common that is an insult to the real cave man o. I am sure he is not like this. |
Ngokafor: ...no they are panty-sniffers looking for approval from ladies..lmao!Yeah right. That sounds lot better. Panty-sniffers they are. |
Sophyrocks: Who wants anything to do with an Old hag? once men know you have been married before, they see you as 2nd hand material. Who wants to marry that one? When there are fresh young single girls too many for me to pick. Mbok. she will never see a man to marry her. lmao. I guess they are just bloody pvssy jare |
Sophyrocks: Of course she doesnt know what it is to be a married woman. She better go back to her father's house and learn or i will replace her with another woman. Doesnt she know millions of other women are ever ready to replace her? That is true o. Hubby please don't be vexed. she will change sir. She is lucky that you picked her out of the millions of women and if you replace her now, she will be the one to loose because nobody will marry her again and she will just die an old ugly frustrated maid. YEYE DEY SMELL |
JEITO: The lady wearing a red traditional attire with beaded headwear, is certainly different from the one on blue attire.I think so too. The lady in blue has a fuller lips but maybe it is the make up |
Sophyrocks:I am sure she doesn't know what it means to be married. She is not matured enough........ She needs to go back in time and take lessons from her ancestor grand parents |
![]() beeevan: Only an end time wife sleeps when husband is awake. |
baby124: Smhlol ![]() |
Rejoyla: I got married sometime in 1993 and shortly after made my spouse an alternate / independent signatory to my own salary account. I had my own cheque book and she had her to this same account, infact, it was her picture that was displayed until we separated and I did not even remember to advise the bank to remove her picture and signature until a confirmation was required for a chequewherein the bank called her and she refferred them to me. For almost all of the 17 years of the marriage, she only worked for about 2 years and though she had her own business I never for once asked her about who she spent her funds as I still kept her on monthly allowance. Having a joint account will protect a good wife in the event of untimely death of the husband but the husband , based on his understanding of the union, must plan for that. You got married to a lady?? or is it someone else's story? Well, i can keep a joint account with hubby but I CAN NEVER put 100% of my salary into it. Please don't blame. I do have my reasons |
troy20: easy there.its sarcasm.shouldnt be that hard na.I for fear o |
bukatyne: Very correctThat means she needs to get an alarm clock that will be waking her every half hour and she better pray to her God that hubby doesn't wake up during the half hour she is asleep else she will be sent to her parents house for 12weeks to get her lessons tight. At least, the 12weeks is enough to reset her blocked brain. |
beeevan: There is no respect in this scenario you described,as a matter of fact the woman here has no respect for her husband at all. A real woman must fling those hands off her hips, fall face flat on the ground and apologize to her Lord and master for not seeing him first. She just reduced her man to a pant sniffer for letting him greet firstThey will expect her to respectfully ask for permission to do that so that they will not reduce their hubby to a pvssy o. I don't even know who says good morning first in my house. We even say good morning to our one year old baby when he wakes up. That might mean something o. maybe he is disrespectful sha. I need to start teaching him to respect his elders o |
kulyie: as in ehen I just taya for all this kain threads.we go soon see why do women have 2 brez ![]() |
bukatyne: The wife and if hubby woke up first, he can sleep back till wifey wakes upInstead of going back to sleep, why not let him wake his wife to say the good morning so he can go his way and let the woman continue her sleep........ I don't even expect things like this to be a problem in marriage. When there are better things to do and think about. Must anyone even say good morning before you acknowledge that you have greeted eachother? I know some people might even come here to say that the wife MUST ENSURE that she wakes up before her husband UNFAILINGLY and KNEEL down beside hubby's bed and wait for him to wake up so she can say her good morning with RESPECT. When the wife is not OHHA in 'coming to America' |
I missed sleeping on my tummy and on my back. I missed my size 8 dresses and my high heels. I also missed my favorite foods. The only things i felt like eating then was fried yam(not the once fried in my kitchen o) and also roasted plantain(Booli) though i still end up vomiting them. But now i am back to default settings |
kulyie: yesdiaris God o |
DanielJones: WHY IS IT ALWAYS FEMALE?Then there won't have been you. Or maybe Adam would have been breeding with the animals and you know what that means........ ![]() |
Ericardo7: # WhatIfThereWasNoEve ?Then there won't have been you. Or maybe Adam would have been breeding with the animals and you know what that means........ ![]() |
Serious things here. Adoration all over. When will you two now have time to do other things? |
beeevan: My dear.... the embarrassment on his face would have been priceless if they summoned him That is like death sentence o |
troy20: well what did you get married for then if not to carter to his insecurities.the heck! if he wants you to root out your first name even, just do it. |
ggrin: ![]() |
apolonius: The right thing to do is to immediately report him or her. Every other 'I will avoid' or 'I go set am up' will backfire somehow. Why?Well, such a person won't back out and will look for ways to get at you. Godmystrength: I know telling will save all the stress. I am just answering OP's question.Which ever way you decide to address it, it won't stop a devilish in-law from looking for ways to get at you. If after reporting and hubby doesn't believe, then evidence is needed. All the dramatic stuff is when hubby doesn't still believe after reporting. If hubby believes you then no need to go extra mile of getting evidence. |
beeevan: Your parents should have spoke up,why do Africans prefer to hide atrocious things and let it fester?I don't know why o. But my dad told my uncle who later told my aunty and her husband. But what should they have even done? Like call a family meeting or talk to the in-law himself? |
beeevan: You really did well, most people will be too scared to speak up, did your aunty get to know?I think she got to know but not through my parents sha./It seems my dad reported him to one of my uncles(my dad's immediate younger brother). He said it is just for the record. SO it now happened that this same uncle-in-law now came to our house the next Xmas eve to come take my younger ones(all girls) to spend Xmas with them and my parents refused him without giving any reason. So maybe my aunty tried reporting my dad to that my uncle and that one(not nice at all) now told her that oh so she wants her husband to give all of us belle abi? and that was it. I think she just got the message. |
Jackeeh: Apaaaaa!!! Translation - NEPAaaaaaaaawasn't my baby's first words but he says that a lot even when it is the generator you put on. light on or light off Apaaaaa!!! @OP-baby's first words were i think ''No No No" with the shaking of his head from side to side. |
beeevan: If my spouse doesn't believe and the offender doesn't live with us, who cares? if he does , my spouse doesn't believe and I feel endangered , once I tell my dad church go closeWhen i was a teenager, i once had the experience with an uncle-in-law. He was married to my aunty (my dad's youngest sister). When the man started all the nonsense, i just called my mum and dad and told them straight. wetin concern me then? But thank God my parent handled it maturely but na serious matter o. |
