Are you guys afraid that the story is false, or afraid that Odukoya is in hell. Y'all talk more like you're internally afraid she's in hell. Prepare to meet your God

Somewhere in the book of Songs says 'take us the little foxes that SPOIL the vine'. It's usually the little things that cut us off. A little not wearing the right cloth for the occasion, as told in the parable by Jesus. A little talk or strike by Moses, this little things can sure produce eternal consequences. Don't be deluded to think, it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. If you think you're standing, better be careful. Many will strive to enter but will not. WATCH.

Mazaje, where are you? Persistence is key. Or don't you believe?
Christianity Etc › Re: Man Insists On Preaching The Gospel On British Airways Flight by Image123(m): 5:06pm On Dec 11, 2009
It's unfortunate that people are misinformed. Preaching on planes did not start with nigerians. All this dry talk about civilisation and molue are ignorant. White men, the ones you call civilised, have preached on planes before. Such 'privileges' have been abused, that's why airlines have agreed to disallow such. Stop bringing up uncivilisation, educated people still preach the gospel.

One thing I'm clear on, is that Arshavin will not score 4goals even as the probable top striker for the game. It baffles me that he has reduced his shot taking just as Rosicky did. I thought it was helping the team.

I'll take it that you're ignorant of new testament passage,Romans 11v25 which says 'blindness in part is happened to Israel'. I'm not being racist. I'm also in love with Israel, O bless them. I'm simply telling you new testament truths. I suppose you're Nigerian, therefore black. You not expected to be under Judaism.
Also, it is common knowledge that the sabbath day is saturday. But point remains that we can worship God any day, where saturday or the Lord's day.
Christianity Etc › Re: Are Pentecostals Christians by Image123(m): 3:45pm On Dec 07, 2009
Sincerely, I thought that blindness in part had happened to the Jews. I'm surprised to see black people also gouging their eyes to share places with the Jews. When will you come to understand that the sabbath was made for man and not the other way round?

Hopefully, it's been settled now that Jesus was born in a manger and visited in a house. Just a familiar as being born in an hospital and receiving 'wellwishers' at home, even that same day in some cases

Why! Unbelievers are getting more ignorant by the hour. Why does this forum compel into all this commonsense stuff. I hardly find real things.
Wirinet, you expect the baby and its parents to stay in the manger forever? They went into the manger because there was no room in the inn/guesthouse. You've quoted it already! They were traveling and Mary went into labour. And Jesus was not born in Canada. I wonder where people get this 'winter' thing. SOP?

Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Permissible To Adapt Secular Music For Worship?? by Image123(m): 4:04pm On Oct 13, 2009
There's no change of lyric or instrument that will bring about salvation or edification from the Spirit. It may bring wet eyes or waves of feel good or shrieks, but thats all the best it can bring. Just thought to add some things to the thread though, here comes the looming persecution.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Permissible To Adapt Secular Music For Worship?? by Image123(m): 3:59pm On Oct 13, 2009
I've had personal experienceS, many of which made me slow down& 'come to myself'. I say this 'cos there are many who believe that people who are against 'secular' music have never loved it,or that they've always had affinity for 'religious.like' songs.
Like for example, I remember I used to LOVE mj and knew his songs and lyrics. I'd heard of the he's not a christian, mj's this and into that talks, but I always rationalized. It's mj you know. Now, what may have shone as light for me,may not for all. But somethings struck me like for example, one of his songs; say 'We are the world'.A seemingly meek and harmless,'christly' song. But it struck me that some of the wording were DIRECTLY opposed to Christ's. It says 'we are the world', Jesus in John 15v19 says 'ye are not of the world'. The songs goes on to say 'we're saving our own lives', Luke 9v24 is a direct opposite. Now to me, that cannot be glanced through. That's the spirit of antichrist, and it's seducing if it were possible even the elect. The tree that produced that fruit cannot be good
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Permissible To Adapt Secular Music For Worship?? by Image123(m): 3:41pm On Oct 13, 2009
Frankly speaking, I'll say it's not ALL right to turn 'secular' songs to 'church' songs. It's been said that the church has suffered untold injury at the hands of well-intentioned persons who felt that they know more about running God's work than Christ and His apostles did.
Matthew 12v33 says 'Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by his fruit.
Fruits from a corrupt tree cannot be good, that's according to Jesus sha o, it depends on each individual's reference. Me,my reference is Jesus. 'Secular' songs are not of the Spirit and can therefore, never truely benefit the spirit. Maybe they might benefit the body, but the spirit? methinknot. The narrow way is most definitely STEREOTYPED, quite unfortunate for the 'free' minds. The cross doesn't change to a star or circle after 2000yrs, it remains a seemingly boring cross.

Christianity Etc › Re: Did The Tower Of Babel Threaten God's Heaven. by Image123(m): 10:46pm On Oct 11, 2009
Genesis 11v7 says "Go to,let us go down, and confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech". Why did God do this? The answer isn't far-fetched, there are consequences for disobedience.
Genesis 1v28 commands man to 'Be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, and subdue it.' After the destruction of man by water, God came again and commanded man in Genesis 9v1 Be fruitful, and multiply and replenish the earth i.e fill it, move round, explore. Unfortunately, every imaginations of man was only evil continually,it's a result of man's fall from God's image and life. Genesis 11v2 says 'as they journeyed'(seems they were initially obeying) BUT, 'they dwelt there'(in Shinar).
Verse 4 tells us their purpose, "lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the earth". And God came down, not to laugh at their folly and its impossibility, but to put a permanent end to their rudeness. They had strongly united to disobey God in an 'amoral' command which would have benefitted them. That unity could grow in worse ways.
