Patronizing them is not an honourable thing to do for any man. To be joined in such a crucial manner with a woman who has also tangled herself with other men is really a mindless thing to do just for sexual gratification.

pansophist: Many of the bashings you will get from the males here come from romantic and sexual scarcity. Young boys normally from puberty are in a stage of hormonal rage, and girls their age normally do not find them attractive. This builds up into frustration and dislikes for women. Especially when they did everything right in their own way to capture her romance, and it didn't pay off. These are the roots of the constant bashing, it is rooted in scarcity and the feeling of being undesirable to the opposite sex. Wow! A revelation...lol No mature and intelligent mind will make such condescending comments towards women because it indirectly points back to them. These guys are too deep in their self proclaimed intelligence to even realize that they lack the very same thing they are dragging their country women for. They must be kids. |

pansophist: I am actually friend with super smart Nigerian ladies that I met on quora (guys as well). Another one of my good female friend I met at the library. You just need to know how to find them.
When I see guys complaining about the intellectual depth of Nigerian ladies, I just imagine where they meet them from. It's like befriending your typical agbero and expecting him to converse like Soyinka. Also, this has to do with something called "the halo effect", where you're expecting a particular kind of response or behaviour from someone because you find them attractive. A beautiful olosho will never have the intellectual depth like Chimamanda regardless if you have a boner by the sight of her.
So instead of complaining about how dumb some girls can be, focus on formatting ways that will filter the possibility to encounter such ladies, while retaining the ones you want. He expects to find them on Snapchat, Instagram, etc. These guys just always look for ways to discredit Nigerian ladies. It's just one of those usual threads. He's probably attracting his kind. |

Shibaraba: I don't count on page 4s but I will for record purposes. I'll say to those who commented above if you didn't watch the full documentary then you all won't understand jack. The lecturers are bad and what they did and are doing are extremely wrong. They should be punished.
I also want to note one thing. They didn't pick the girls out. The girls made themselves available for their picking. If they didn't lure these lecturers they won't even look at them. Despite the fact that most lecturers are pure bred goats. They still lured them. It might not be luring. If a girl goes to a lecturer's office for help, he doesn't have to take advantage even if she lures him or she needs his help. He has an obligation to help because she is his student. I say this because in school, I went to two different lecturer's offices to ask them to help me understand the course because I was having difficulties. None of them took advantage of me. Instead, I ended up having As in both courses. Another lecturer from a different faculty that I went to meet to help with accommodation also helped without any kind of sexual advances. I believe it's a matter of choice, character and integrity. It's the lecturers place to resist and set them straight. But greed and lack of self control will not allow. |

Education › Re: Sex For Grades: BBC Releases The Full Documentary Of Lecturers Involved by ImaIma1(f): 12:32am On Oct 09, 2019 |
Jabzino: BBC bringing out this documentary is not WRONG!!. but this story focuses mainly on the ladies who have a problem and approaches this lecturers themselves. My question is, why wont they bring out a documentary that shows students who are serious with there academics been harassed by this lecturers. Majority of the ladies who are been harassed here are those who met them for a reason. How would a lady who needed admission seek the help of a lecturer she don't even know, is he the owner of the school? The white folks will go as far as giving the investigators admission into this university, make them an outstanding students and see if they will be harassed by this lecturers, since those who were really harassed are scared.
It is even possible that you who thinks people like me makes you SICK in this country also ask girls you help in one way or the other for sex. I stand to be corrected, but getting a video as this, where ladies needed help and the lectures wants to make use of such opportunity does not conclude that this lecturers ask for sex for "GRADES". In my opinion, Sex for grade is categorized into 2 types; 1. Either the Lecturer tries to fail a good student who he wants her body and she refuses (which is a very bad thing and the lecturer should be punished if caught) or 2. The lady knS[img][/img]ows she is not academically sound and needed to give her body in exchange for grades (wrong trade by barter). I am not saying the lecturers are doing a good thing, but BBC should do a better investigation for this very important issue. She probably heard that he could help. Just like in my 200l, hostel accommodation was difficult to get but someone told me that a particular lecturer in a totally different faculty from mine could help me. And off I went to meet him for help. It took me a few days of working as a "baby secretary" in his office but I got the accommodation. I didn't know him, he didn't own the hostel or school but my "informant" told me that he had been my hostel warden's lecturer in the past. So the lecturer just spoke to her on my behalf. These lecturers are in a place of power not to abuse it. So whether a student is an A or D student should not matter. But we keep missing the point of this publication. It is to expose lecturers that take advantage of students... whether it is a good or bad student is not the issue. |

Jabzino: What if the Pastor says something like after he met the girl in his church for the first time and she told him her problem, and he thinks its something he can help her with, so he asked her to come to his office, but ever since she stepped foot in his office, he started behaving the way the video showed he was behaving, meaning the girl might have used juju on him. What will you say? That i am Mad right?
That's how this video make me feel. I have a daughter, and so i an concerned about this issue, but this video don't have enough evidence to put this men behind bars, and i wish for them to die in jail. Some people will not believe facts even if it stares them in the face especially when a woman is the victim. I have noticed that everything, especially on this forum, is a battle of the sexes and once it involves a lady, the comments are more critical and there must be something more involved. That said, that particular lecturer was targeted based on testimonials by many ladies. There are many of such lecturers in our universities and that is how shamelessly they behave. There's nothing respectable about them. |

Fisher007: The truth is bitter. I hope you are all ready to swallow it.
Firstly let me commend their effort in this video. It was great and I am happy this is an eye opener which we already know about it.
Now my problem is the story is just one-sided. And I don't like one-sided story to make people feel good or convince themselves.
Our parents, grand parents, great grand parents knew about this sex for favours or marks thing. Even our uncles and aunts or boses still practice this on the younger ones. Keep your eyes open and don't come here and form you don't see it.
Now it is a choice if you want to get involved or not. It has practically been existing eversince. And yet some of us didn't get involved or participate in it. Not because we are holy (trust me we have our own bad habits). But we choose not too. Simple.
One thing I have learnt in life is you can never be used or influenced into doing what you don't want especially when you have a strong will and conviction.
The story is one-sided and it gets on my nerves. Do you know that the amount of students (both male and female student ) that offer themselves voluntarily for this sex for grades is way more than the ones the lecturer force or convince too.
Trust me you all will be amazed that most students even seduce, pay for hotel rooms voluntarily for lecturers to sleep with them. They purposely track lecturers, visit their lodge and practically rape this lecturers. This then makes most lecturers think all students want to be involved in this scheme.
Everyone here on nairaland are mostly hypocrites. You all want to tell me you didn't know about this even in your university years in Naija uni. To the extents some of you even knew your friends both male and especially female who will never attend lectures but will come out with grade A and B. You knew they did it from year one to year four. Even final year project was still through this scheme.
Do you want to tell me all lecturers force them to do it all through those years?
We are all just hypocrites and we are lying to each other. The truth is it will not stop. Especially with the current economy.
Am sure to gain admission now in Nigerian universities they will do the same scheme, with the high population of students that cannot gain admission every year because we lack institutions to admit them. Hmm.
Well I will end my case here. Accept what you see. There is nothing happening that is new under the sun. It might just have be upgraded or modified, but it is not new.
Simple truth but hard to swallow. You are right that there are students that throw themselves at lecturers for marks. But is that what this publication is focused on? No. It's about lecturers who take advantage of students. If they decide tomorrow to focus on students chasing lecturers, fine! But for now, focus on the published topic. How can you even say it is a one sided story when you can clearly see the lecturers exhibiting themselves in the video. I don't think you understand the meaning of one sided |

Kalixx: Nonsense
The Europeans are at it again. Hardly has the useless BBNaija ended that another episode of trash has begun to grace the dailies.
Let me first ask critical thinkers? When will Europeans release a full documentary or do undercover agency to nail the underhand government officials in the corridors of power?
When will Europeans release a full documentary detailing how oil is being illegally siphoned and how dubious, overbloated oil contracts are awarded? Hmmn, just maybe they're beneficiaries.
When will these Europeans release a full documentary detailing how they took for themselves our Benin artefacts, as well as old precious works of art for centuries without returning them?
When will the pinkish-skinned masters release a full documentary on how their men invaded Africa and sowed seeds of discord, pitting tribe against tribe, supplying ammunition and creating wars within us, while shipping our resources to hinterland?
Are they also ready to tell us how they came and took our ancestors, with their utterly useless bible in one hand and a gun in their back pocket, how they promised good life but took our men to become tireless slaves in their plantations; punched holes in their lips and padlocked them so they couldnt eat even a seed ?
Are they ready to let you know how they took our women, our mothers up to the third, fourth generation... and how they turned them to sex slaves?
With all their media brainwashing of the perfect model body that is characterised by a slim lady with no breast and nyansh, you only have to feel for them because that is the best they have to offer on the average. Their women no deh get nyansh, no deh get breast, yet their pictures would grace the magazine covers because of their deluded sense of self-worth and racial superiority.
On the contrary, go to a motel and you would see how their men pursue black women. Our women are thick and endowed and that is just how they love it despite the pretense.
I want you guys to know that the whites and Europeans back then did the most unimaginable things in the world to our women. They bleeped them day and night, at will - practically stripped them off of any sense of worth left, and made them feel completely inferior. There were just no cameras then to record all these things.
Now I wonder what gave them the effrontery to step foot in Naija and begin to do nonsense undercover agency when there is still oil theft, corruption and other pressing damning things pushing Nigeria to the brink of ruin.
Yes I get it, there are many bad Nigerian lecturers out there, taking advantage of our ladies.
BUT WILL THEY ALSO DO A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT LADIES THAT ARE DETERMINED TO F**K LECTURERS, SOMETIMES JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT?
Sometimes for the prestige, say "I dey date lecturer"?
And just so you know, many of the sexual encounters that occur between lecturers and students do not always involve 'marks'. In the lecturer's mind, hin just dey chop fresh fish. Na only the bae dey always dey think say because she serve punna, her score go boost.
How that one con take be lecturer fault? He's simply committing fornication; that's it. Oh because he's a lecturer, he should stay faithful to his wife -- same wife wey over 100 various d*cks don tidy when she dey her 20's?
Make una dey use brain abeg.
Attached is a picture of a 'moral' European adulating our mother up to about the fourth generation. What is the point of this long and irrelevant post? |
